Thank-you Roger! After supper tonight I had gotten to thinking of my resolution and how I have been doing with it and got to wondering if I had broken it. So I wanted to let you know and to see what you thought. . . I will make my cut off date to be the last day of March, that is unless you or anyone thinks that is too far away or too long. That way I have something to shoot for and perhaps will be more motivated to keep my resolution knowing I can steadily work for my goal and not just expect it to happen. If all that makes sense... Anyways, thanks again, Roger. I will post here off and on as to how my progress has been going or if I have broken my resolution (hopefully not).

Well y'all...I have some bad news. At least to myself, that is. I think I am out of this here contest. I should have thought more deeper into my resolution of not being so lazy... it is harder than I had thought it was going to be. To be honest...I haven't been completetly lazy. Like yesterday after work, I had taken my dog out for a walk, and I have been picking up or doing some chores around my apartment. Chores that probably would have been shoved a side to do some other time if it hadn't been for this resolution or this contest. So it isn't like I haven't done anything. But at the same time, there has been things that could or should be done and I resigned to go on the computer instead. Roger - I will let you be the judge of whether I should be out or not on that. Like I said, perhaps I have broken my resolution...

Good job DaisyxEnos...I doubt there is a way for you to go through a whole year without buying anything. So to go in to buy something you need and to go out is a great job! Me on the other hand would get side tracked and find myself in the CD isle looking at CDs and probably find a CD that I would love to have! LOL. Good job Daisy!

Thank-you Roger for the idea to cure laziness...though somehow I doubt that would work too well. In fact, I think, if I were to follow your plan, I'd probably become even more lazy th an I had been before I made the resolution. (Seeing how I would be spending more time on the computer than doing things that need to be done) Which leaves me to wonder if this is your way to help me to lose in this little friendly contest. . .

I am sorry to hear that you've got a cold, DaisyxEnos...that's a bummer. But I'm glad to hear that you are doing pretty good at your resolution. I hope you can keep up the good work. As for me...so far, so good. Though I must admit, so far, that it is harder to do than what I had thought it was going to be...not to be so lazy, that is. LOL

I am a lead teacher in a two and three year old room at a day care in town...haven't done much else other than work with kids. Worked my way up to being the lead after a few years of being the assistant at this day care (I worked at one other day care as well as at a nursery - part time). I enjoy what I do and being able to teach and play with the kids...and to watch them learn and grow. As a side job, I help my parents clean my church. As for if I enjoy it...it isn't so bad once I am there and get started cleaning the bathrooms and all that. It is getting started that is the tough part of the job.

Well time is quickly running out on me so I guess I should get a move on it if I am wanting to put my New Year's Resolution down here. I am going to not be so lazy...perhaps I can get things done. Like my apartment cleaned and things put back to where they belong...one can always hope .

Well then, I spose I have some serious thinking of something I can be committed to for a full year. I've heard it takes three weeks before something becomes a part of a routine, so if that has any truth to it, that means I only need to hang tough with it for three weeks before it becomes a routine for me. Wow Roger...you really want to make this hard, don't you? LOL. Actually, it sounds like a good idea. The hard part for me is to narrow it down to one resolution to put down. HA HA. I have a lot to work on, I guess. Though I do have one question, so if I put down a resolution and I break that resolution within a couple of weeks, I am out of it completely? I don't get a second chance to try at it or what not? Not that I plan on breaking any of my resolutions, but they do tend to break for me. Hopefully if I write it down I will be more committed to pulling them through to work. Who knows, it may happen.

That would be a major bummer to loose all your season of Dukes! I am glad that they got replaced.

Congrats Daisy on getting all seven seasons of the Dukes for Christmas! That would be a great Christmas gift for someone who doesn't have 'em or had lost them! I bet you were excited to get them...hope you enjoy watching them.

How very true. I would love to have a chance to live in Hazzard County, Georgia and to live around people like the Dukes and Davenports. Hogg and Coltrane would't be so bad either...they may be greedy and cheat a little here and there, but they do have their own beliefs they believe in, their own set of morals. Such as no one getting hurt or shot at, not even the Dukes. If only we all could escape to Hazzard County, life would be perfect.

Well I didn't get anything Duke related for Christmas this year, but I did get a few Jeff Gordon things this year...of which I got interested in (NASCAR) due to the Dukes and The General Lee. I got a model of his race car that is opaque so you can see the parts and everything that is within the car as well as the race decals on the outside. It looks pretty cool. I also got a new digital camera for Christmas. My old one works, but the pictures are all dark and was frustrating to work with on events and all that. So I am excited about that. I hope y'all got all that you wanted for Christmas and had a special day yesterday with family and friends.

Y'all musta been good this year. The jeep would be a great gift to get as well as Ben "Cooter" Jones' book. You'll have to keep me posted on how you like the book, Roger. I bet it is an interesting book. We are having our family Christmas tomorrow, so as far if I got anything Duke related, I have yet to find out. Who knows...I may be getting coal for Christmas! Hope y 'all had a great Christmas today and that it was special! Hopefully y'all got all you wanted for Christmas as well as being able to spend the special day with family and friends!

Tomorrow (Christmas) will mark eleven years since Denver Pyle passed away and went to live in a better place. May his soul rest in peace. He is surely missed!

Crazy idea, Roger? I have the slightest clue of what you are talking about! I think you come up with some good ideas that helps keep this board a live and active...along with the others on this board. Your contest sounds interesting, Roger...and tempting. Maybe if I had some sort of motivation, perhaps I would actually keep my New Years Resolution longer than a week or so.

That is horrible that anyone would find it in their hearts to rob from anyone anytime of the year, but especially this time of year when it is the time for giving and sharing. It is good that they have found John's SUV and very sad and disturbing that they couldn't find the puppies. Hopefully they will soon be found healthy and unharmed...or if not found, hopefully at least they are with someone who will take good care of the puppies.
