  1. Well I know I should write to you...I already wrote you a long enough and boring enough novel. But had a question I thought of during the race yesterday. Which races are you planning on going to this year? LOL. I was never too big on the idea of going to them because I figured I'd see it better on TV and the announcers would explain everything plus, with my luck, Gordon would crash on the first lap and I'd be forced to watch the whole race without him in it. Sadly, I find it hard to watch when Gordon is not in it...though I'd still have Johnson unless it was another race like Daytona. Anyway, I have the urge to go to one now, though don't know if I ever will. Oh well. Tried to convince my dad to go to the All-Star race, but he laughed at me and didnt' take me serious...so I take that as a no. HA HA. Anyway, was curious which ones you are going to...which track is your favorite?

  2. *Once again, Garrett's limp body twitches, this time more visibly as he grows conscience of the intense pain that shoots from his chest. A long moment passes before he wins his struggle to open his eyes. Lying silently and awake on the bed, Garrett's eyes adjust to the light to send confusion rapidly within him as he eyes the people around him. Seeing Brian on the bed next to him, his confusion dissipates into clarity as the sight of Brian holding the gun at him, attempting to force him inside his car. Of the hurt look he had witnessed upon Chet's face as he looked on before he sent his horse charging at Brian. And then the loud gun shot that had thrown him backwards and onto the ground and seeing his own blood stain his white shirt. Of Alex standing over him, carrying, taking care of him. Then darkness had settled in. After a long moment of eyeing the Coltrane, rethinking the events that must have led him to here, and struggling with his emotions, he finally turns his attention to Kristy who sits in the chairs next to him with her head down and eyes closed. With Daney sitting next to her.* Kristy *Garrett manages to say, his voice quivering weakly, but loud enough to attain Kristy's attention who looks over at him and relief floods her green eyes.* Garrett, you're awake. *Kristy smiles at him as she runs a caring hand through his thick dark blond hair.* You did it again, huh? Survived the unthinkable. . .luckily.*Sitting up and forcing a stern look upon her attractive face* You know you have some explaining to do, right? *Garrett nods before eyeing Brian once more and then looks back at Kristy. Knowing her brother well enough, she answers the question he refuses to ask.* "He's asleep. Woke up a few hours ago I guess. He has some severe damages, but looks like he'll be fine. As well as you. You both have Alex to thank for that, you know? *Garrett nods once more before falling silent and still as he attempts to ignore the shooting pain. Pain he'd be glad to live with. Pain that'll let him know he was strong enough to survive being shot. Or lucky enough to get help in time to survive the bullet.* I briefly remember him at my side. *Garrett looks away from Kristy to look at Brian once more before turning to look ahead at the ceiling before closing his emotionless gray eyes as he begins thinks of the events that had led up to the shooting to the shooting itself.*
  3. Well I better shut up now with my rant with the race...am just frustrated by it at the moment. If all that wasn't enough, after the race, I left the TV to find it snowing outside! I'm dog sitting so I'll have farther to drive in it in the morning - where's spring anyway? Anywhow, how'd your drivers finish the race? Guess I didn't pay much attention to drivers outside of Hendrick, other than Harvick and Burton that is. I'm pretty sure McMurray and Edwards finished better than Gordon, though I can't say where at the moment. Hope they all had great finishes and that you enjoyed the race. Sorry for all my ranting...if I put Gordon aside and DW and Jeff and their comments, it was a pretty good race. Can't wait to hear what you thought of the race. . .

Hope you had a great weekend and that you will have an awesome week this week. :)

  4. And Gordon...Dang, he started out so good, like last week, and then at the end he was having dang engine problems. DW and Jeff H didn't seem too sad about that either. Were surprised to see him still on the track. I should be excited, I mean Johnson won the race. But somehow am frustrated with it. I am excited about Johnson winning, frustrated about the rest of it, that sounds better I guess. Jr had a lousy race too, was really hoping he'd back it up with a strong finish. Though his whole attitude seemed to change since last week - it's back to how it was last year (at least before the race it seemed to be - or am I the only one to think that?)

  5. Well the race just got over...dang was it frustrating. I love Darrell and Jeff H in the booth, but what was their deal today? What do they have against JJ? I mean they seemed so agaisnt him...I mean they (At least DW) was going for Harvick and Burton to win, was excited when they got closer to him. I was excited to see JJ win, one I like him, two because they were so against him. ERRR Don't have much agaisnt Harvick, though am not a fan of his, but was glad to see him slap the wall when he did to slow him down. Is that mean of me?

  6. A Good Hearted Woman - Waylon Jennings
  7. Sorry that I missed you earlier on. The race was on. If you still want to chat, I can chat for a few minutes.

  8. Waiting On Joe - Steve Azar
  9. *Meanwhile inside, Garrett's pale and limp body twitches slightly as he begins to feel the pain richochet violently within him. Eyes still closed, his breathing picks up, and he begins to hear people's voices, sounding far away to him.*
  10. "Just Good ol' Boys" - Waylon Jennings (Sorry, it's probably been used already, but I had to say it. )
  11. "The Good Stuff" - by Kenny Chesney
  12. Lori's the oldest? Hmmm she has her work cut out for her then...LOL. As for Garrett...he's just Garrett. HA HA.

  13. I went out Last Night - Kenny Chesney
  14. http://lolracepics.com/ Ok I don't know if this will work or not, but I'm posting a link to a site with some racing pictures on it. They are hilarious...well most of them are. I thought you would get a kick out of them. They aren't very nice to Johnson or Kyle Busch. Don't feel too bad about Kyle, some of them are funny. Though what's wrong with Johnson? LOL. Guess there was some good ones of Johnson...dind't look at them all yet...but there were a couple not so nice ones at Johnson. So far, haven't seen any of Gordon. . .Hope you like them.
  15. What ya think of Numb3rs? (If you watched it. LOL) It was great chatting with you. Hope you have a great weekend!

  16. Wasn't plannin' on it, I have to be up early tomorrow for a retreat. Though Numb3rs don't start up until nine central time which is another hour and fifteen minutes. Does your show end in another fifteen minutes or is there another episode? If not today we can do it later. Just thought I'd offer.

  17. LOL Redneck Girl...I haven't seen t hat episode in a long time, but now that you said that, I think I remember him saying that! Poor ol' Boss couldn't lie to save his own life if need be in that episode.
  18. Wanna chat for a few minutes? Dont' know how long I'll be on for, but I'm on and see you on. . .

  19. How do you like me now?! - Toby Keith
  20. Hey what's cookin'? LOL Hope all is well with you. It is great to see you on the board again!

  21. Garrett was shot in the chest, though that don't nesseccarily mean he's beyond repair at this moment. . .
  22. I agree...I don't think the characters neccesarily have to be killed off from where we are at now. Both characters seem to have suffered great injuries and may be facing death, but as of now, they are still alive and perhaps could be helped. Though I don't think the story is worth killing off any of our characters for either. So I guess it all depends. Anyway, whatever you decide to do, Brian, with the story, I will respect and understand why you did it. As for my part, I apologize if I took the story away from where it was intended to go or led it to this directions. I had allowed Garrett (my muse) do the writing and perhaps should have restrained him more than I already did. Though despite his critical condition in the story, Garrett (my muse) seems a little more motivated to write my own stories than before. Anyway, I'm sorry.
  23. Thanks...yeah Fontana should be a good race and Gordon and JJ should have great races. HOpe your drivers do too. :) Can't wait to hear what you have to say about the race and the results. Hope you have a great weekend!

  24. LOL...see you are at the thread right now. Yeah it's a killer alright. Didn't anticipate that happening...Garrett and his big mouth!

  25. (Sorry to run off on y'all, but I'm going to have to leave so I can get to bed. Will be on after work tomorrow sometime.)
