  1. It has been awhile since I watched the video or heard the song, but I did like the song and the video. It is catchy, but it is sad to see. It is great to see some new music from John. Talk about a talented man!
  2. My word: Rhuebottom's General Store Bottom Tom To Tore So Shoe Toe Or Ear Matt Rub Garrett Bo Are Hot Torn New Word: Duke family farm
  3. Way to go Daisy...sounded good to me.
  4. I hope that everything is alright with you...it's been awhile since I've heard from you or looks like you were last on. I hope that all is well with you and your family.

Well my parents' cable company and the channels that has FOX and CBS on them have come to an agreement for a year so for a year I am off the hook. LOL. YAY! Am relieved about that.

Once mroe hope all is well with you. Have a great weekend!

  5. For someone who is being supposed arrested for something you didn't do, you're being pretty quiet about this Daisy. Which probably also adds upon the assumption that you like being in jail...that you started with the curtains. Hollar at me if you need help *whispers* escaping or anything like that. Though being locked up may be what you need right now...get away from Bo and Luke, plus gets you out of doing chores. Perhaps I should go mention that last part to the boys, that'd motivate them to help you escape all in itself since it is probably them doing laundry and dishes and all your other chores. No wonder why you're enjoying the solitude so much.
  6. GeneralLeeGirl- You sound exactly like me...I've made a lot of resolutions that I would work on and yet haven't really kept any of them. I guess the one with my sister, but that is only done half way since I did say I'd be the one calling her. (Thanks Roger!) I am lousy when it comes to making any sort of changes, I get in the same old rut and I stick in it. I feel like I'm in a hamster wheel and can't get out of it if you know what I mean. ERRRR! They say it only takes three weeks to make a change into a routine that can stick...if only I can find a way to get to the three week mark! I am horrible at this! Way to go Texas Daisy and Roger...I am happy for both of you. I bet you do feel a lot better, Daisy, and proud of the work you did. Roger I bet your book will be an awesome book - I really hope that you will allow us to read your book once you get done. At least some sort of preview. I have always wanted to write novels...that had been one of my dreams when I was in school. Aw well I guess. Keep up the great work!
  7. Poor Daisy Mae! I tried to warn ya though, Daisy, about makin' them curtains. Hope your stay ain't too long.
  8. Thanks BL ...I had a hard time believing y'all enjoyed jail so much you were excited about decorating it for your stay. Though I also believe that Hogg may have a thing or two to say about you decorating his jail.
  9. You know by decorating the cell as you are describing, it makes it look as if you enjoy being locked up in the cell...kinda like making it yer home. Wouldn't it be easier to just stay a step ahead of the law and not get caught? That way you can keep all your pretty little flowers and curtains at home where you can actually enjoy them. And stay free all at the same time!
  10. Well Daney looks like your still locked up...thought by now you woulda broke bail or something. Maybe you are in need of a little help of *whispers through the bars* finding a way way out. Just call on me, sure I can think of a way out. In the mean time, I hope the cot and the whole cell is a lot more comfortable than it was the last time I was in there for you.
  11. WooHoo congrats Texas Daisy on the weight loss and keeping with your resolution! I am very proud and happy for you! Keep up the great work. As for mine...I've done so-so. I've talked to my sister at least once a week so far, but haven't called her each time.(Does that count?) But thanks for the reminder Daisy, I still need to call her this week to say hi.
  12. GUESS WHAT? GUESS WHAT? Give up yet? LOL...tomorrow will mark a month left to wait for Daytona 500! 31 more days! WooHoo!!!!!!!!! Too bad January has 31 days instead of 30, otherwise we'd have only 30 days to wait. A month to go til Daytona! Yee - Haaa! As Bo would say...still a month still seems to be forever away. Can't Daytona be this Sunday? ;)

  13. Poor Daney! Hopefully she can have some visitors.
  14. HA HA. For once you caught me! LOL. I'm on my way to chat right now!

  15. I have to agree, Roger...that was a great poem! Never knew Uncle Jesse could be so good at writing a poem and so quick! Congrats on your refound freedom.

  18. Hi Daney...thank-you for voting for Hazzard in Trouble. That was a surprise to see that. Though looking at it, it brought about a lot of old memories of writing RRs and RPs - something I haven't done in what seems to be forever. It was a lot of fun. Thank-you for the vote. :D (Though I do believe you left out or forgot to mention that you perticipated in writing the story as well! Give yourself at least some credit for it. LOL ;) )

  20. Awww sorry that I missed you RedneckGirl!!!!! I hope you had a good day today and that tomorrow will be great as well!

  21. Thank-you Daney! Hope you enjoyed what I have so far.
  22. Ok...I have been reading and following this thread from the beginning, but haven't made a post due to having mixed emotions about it and not wanting to step on anyone's toes. I can see both sides of it to some degree. Back when I started out several years ago, I use to RR and RP and had fun doing it. But that has been awhile now...due to not finding a story I am interested in writing in and due to my lack of time. One line stories are frustrating and discouraging especially to see so many out there, especially looking back to how the RRs and the RPs use to be back when I perticipated in them. But at the same time, are their stories really hurting anyone? Perhaps they could have a different section dedicated to those types of stories that way if you like that sort of story you can go there. If not, go elsewhere. As I said, I don't like the one line story posts as the others here have stated, but no one is making you read them. Everyone has different styles in writing and different levels in talent in writing and perhaps some don't have the time to write very detailed posts. Maybe some of them work hard to get that one line in and to them, they think it makes sense or like it for some reason or another. I don't know, but it isn't up to me to judge their writing or their talent (I know I don't have the best talent or the best stories out there!) As I said, I have very mixed up feelings about this because I do agree with Chet and everyone that feels the same way and have for awhile now. It does get old seeing the same kind of stories around or what not, but I chose to ignore them. But I am also concerned about the authors of the one liner posted stories. and of chasing them off or making them feel unwanted. I guess there is no win-win situation here and the solution is hard to come by to solve the problem. Maybe starting anew would be best...a fresh start at a new year, but also have a section for the one liners stories to go? I don't know. Well there is my two cents on the topic...
  23. You are very welcome! As I h ad said earlier, I sympathise with you. I am definately in NASCAR withdrawl...of the Sprint Series that is. I guess I should feel lucky that I only have over a month left to wait...but still, it seems to be enternity away!
