  1. Thanks Garrett. I knew you'd get it right eventually! I knew they went a lot slower but couldn't tell how slow. The road races don't look fast on TV (compared to an oval track) but I know it's fast in real life. The only thing I can relate it to is the local tracks. When they show them on the local news it looks slow but sure looks fast when you're in the bleachers. There's going to be a lot of heartbroken Dale fans when he's mathematically eliminated. Here's my next question. When they were interviewing Boris Said I noticed he looks pretty big. Isn't that a big (no pun intended) disadvantage since weight is so important with the cars? Oh yea, I see former football coach Jimmy Johnson is going to be on Survivor. Does he still own a NASCAR car? if so, who's the driver?
  2. Back here? Were you on with a different name? Welcome back!!

  3. Good stuff. Those two worked together so well. What a great team.

  6. I was watching CNN tonight (8:00 EST) and they were mentioning actors who got into politics. I didn't hear what was being said....but written at the bottom of the screen was "Ben Jones as Cooter Davenport on the Dukes of Hazzard" I think they also mentioned the years he was involved in politics in Georgia.
  7. Welcome to Hazzard County Carolyn. Hoss is right. We're a friendly bunch just like the folks on the show. We look forward to reading your posts!!
  8. I'll drink to that *lifts glass of buttermilk high*
  9. *gets out of truck and walks up to Molly* Jesse "Come on now you two, hop in my truck and I'll take you home and I'll git Cooter to fix up this old Chevy and bring 'er back out to the swamp later this week" Molly "I ain't comin' with ya" Jesse "Well then, what er ya gonna do...jist sit here?" Molly "Maybe" Alice "I'm going with Jesse" *Molly looks disgusted realizing she's out of options but then grabs her shotgun and hops in Jesse's truck after Jesse and Alice do* *Jesse puts truck in gear and heads toward the Hazzard Swamp*
  10. Very nice. How big are these signs?

  15. These are fun....and tough! My favorite is the second one. I'm struggling with most of them but I'll write down names and go back to it later. Great idea HossC. Too bad folks like you with short names (and only one vowel) can't make the list!
  16. Superman
  17. *Molly's truck stalls as Jesse gets in his Ford pick-up. Molly gets her truck started again and drives off. Jesse gets on the CB* This here's Shepherd calling Lone Sheep, Shepherd calling Lone Sheep....if yer listenin' I got the situation under control here. I've talked to that person we was discussin' earlier and yer free to go about yer business lone sheep. Did ya copy that?" *Jesse looks down the dirt road and Molly's truck appears to have stalled again just before the road curved to the left. He puts it in gear and drives toward her*
  18. What a blast!! I still don't have two..... 29 across and 27 down. (Update, I got 29 across right after I posted this....thank goodness for the edit button...I was missing the obvious....Boss sure is) The only reason I remembered 4 across because he was in a movie I really liked. Other than that I never would have gotten it. Thanks Hoss. You're awesome!
  19. TROUBLE was sung by Travis Tritt and, before that, Elvis Aaron Presley.
  20. It's great to hear from you again Bo Duke's Girl!!! How ya been?

  22. Roger Ebert....errr make that Roger Duke....gives it two thumbs up!!
  23. What's the fastest speeds they get up to in road races like today's?
  24. I saw the second half of the race. I'm not sure if I believe Boris Said or not. I heard what he said (no pun intended) in the interview afterward but if he didn't know he was there what did he think he hit before he hit it again? He must have known it was something. Then again it's easy for me to say sitting on a couch. Maybe he never felt the first hit. I can't blame Denny Hamlin. That white smoke was like a wall. He did the right thing by going to the outside. He had no way of knowing Jimmie was there.
  25. Welcome to the HazzardNet Ethan! Thanks for the information!!
