  1. Thanks for putting such thought into these great responses folks. Since it's not unusual to see a car running around in modern times that's older, I don't think too much about the show being older when I see a old car or two or three. However when they show scenes in town (especially in the Goeorgia episodes) I do think about the show's age since you never see that many old cars in one place anymore....except a car show of course.

    Commercials

You folks have cool comercials over there Hoss! It's been weeks since I've seen a commercial here that wasn't a negative political ad. The good news is that after the election on Tuesday the Christmas commercials will start and I just love Christmas!!!
  3. Having just turned 50 in April (along with John Schneider) I got a lot of AARP advertisements in the mail. It just seems odd that they would sponser NASCAR but since there's a lot of older NASCAR fans I shouldn't be surprised. NASCAR's been around long enough that a lot of it's original fans are getting older. GO GO JJ!!
  4. Speeding toward Daisy with the speed and fury of a runaway freight train, the largest beast seems focused on her and is unable to concentrate on anything else. Then something forces the monster to lose his focus as Luke lunges toward him with a vengence. The monster alters his path slightly to go around Luke and his face crashes into a large low hanging branch. What happens next shocks all four Dukes and stops them in their tracks. The tree branch decapitates the swamp monster. His head rolls into a puddle as the monster's body falls to the ground. Close behind, the small beast trips over the larger one and falls on top of him. Seeing their opportunity to attack the smaller monster, Bo and Luke jump on him together and start punching him with everything they have. Then, the large headless beast joins the fight, striking Bo in the stomach.
  5. Hmmm. interesting post... but it has left me a little confused.... Is AARP the American Association of Retired People? I'm wondering if it stands for a different organization with the same initials since they don't seem like the type of group that would sponser NASCAR.
  6. Here's a question for you folks. Whenever I watch an old TV show from the late 70s or early 80s I always feel a little nostalgic about television from that era. However, when I watch the Dukes, I don't feel nostalgic at all. Since my love of the Dukes hasn't faded since it originally aired it still feels just as new and exciting as it always did. Of course I'm 50 years old. A lot of you folks here are younger....well....maybe all you folks are younger...LOL Anyway, here's my question. When you watch the Dukes does it feel like you're watching an old show?
  7. Wow...impressive! If possible I'd sure like to hear the story of how WBGL got them.
  8. I wouldn't have known that but those numbers sure sound right to me. Mr. Harkness sure had a pretty good scam going on there. In the RP "Mystery in Hazzard Swamp", there's a Andrew Harkness....no relation to H.H. If I may put an advertisement for it here, it's approaching it's exciting conclusion just in time for Halloween. Check it out.
  9. Welcome to the HazzardNet!

  10. Upset that he had fired both barrels at the same time and had no more ammo in the gun, Jesse frantically reaches in the chest pocket of his overalls to reload. As he pulls out two more shotgun shells, his nerves get the best of him and he drops them both. To his shock, the monster reconsiders a second attack and chooses to flee the scene. He starts slow and then picks up speed. Jesse feels instant relief but it is short lived. Out of the thick brush to their left, the Duke men are shocked at what appears.....another swamp monster!....not nearly as tall but every bit as menacing looking as the first one. The second monster gives Bo and Jesse a short angry glance and then begins running behind the larger one. Once again the relief felt by Jesse is short lived. As if living a nightmare, Jesse looks ahead at the path the monsters were heading and witnessed a sight that sent chills up his spin. The sight was right in line with the path the monsters were running.....Daisy!
  11. Make sure Cooter checks it out real good before the big jump. You never know if somebody might have tampered with the high performance fuel lines.

  13. If I knew how to post pictures on here I'd post my two Shih-tzu hunting hounds with deer blood all over their faces after their latest kill.
  14. Welcome to the HazzardNet!

  15. How about a toy patrol car. You could recreate the time the Mean Green Machine jumped over Rosco's car. (I'm not sure if "jumped" is the accurate word here)
  16. Awesome idea! Please don't try to jump it over any creeks with bridges out. We've gotten attatched to you and wouldn't want to lose you so early in your HazzardNet career.
  17. Welcome to the HazzardNet! We're excited about seeing the pictures!
  18. That's good advice about not getting too comfy. Hmmm, I don't recall my friend ever saying things were fixed in NASCAR. I suspect you misinterpreted something I posted. He did say that Jimmie's crew plays a big part in his wins and that they have secrets that they don't want to give up. I guess I can't blame them. The bottom line is that NASCAR will probably do something to stop his success if they think he's hurting the sport by being too good. If they do, their actions will cause controversy that will hurt the sport but they'll probably view it as the better of the two evils. I can't imagine NASCAR tolerating 10 years in a row of JJ winning the Chase.
