  1. Welcome to the HazzardNet!

  2. *It didn't take long for the temperature to drop yet another 10 degrees. The cold front had not only lowered the temps dramatically, it brought a massive black cloud that pushed through the area like a monsterous wall of misery. Then it happened. One moment a few light snowflakes fell and minutes later, the snow was falling so hard and fast, it was tough to see anything farther than 100 feet away* Emma was frantic as she gripped Jesse's arm. She started to cry. "Jesse, whatever are we going to do? Nobody ever comes down this road to begin with. Now that it's snowing this hard, nobody's going to be even leaving their house." Jesse tried to calm her "Don't worry Emma. My boys will find us. I can almost hear that dixie horn now" Emma then said something that scared the daylights out of Jesse "I hate to tell you this. Mind you, I didn't hear the whole conversation so I'm not exactly sure what's going on but I did overhear Rosco at the Boar's Nest this morning promising Boss your boys will be in jail before the day's over." *The snow covered Jesse's red hat, turning it white as his hopes to be rescued faded.*
  3. Congratulations Garrett on 2000 posts!!!

And every one has been awesome...

(except the ones where you made fun of me)

  4. I got a chuckle out of this quote. My daughter moved from the snow belt of Lake Erie to Virgina and she told us things were like that down there. Folks down there don't know how to handle much snow....but, in their defense...the roads don't get cleared out very well because they don't have as many plow trucks. Of course, it's hard to justify to taxpayers to buy a lot of plow trucks when you don't get much snow.
  5. cable (what a coincidence..I just bought a car battery today)
  6. *Two hours later Daisy ended the Christmas concert practice. She walked outside and looked around, very concerned. After Ira Grant explained that Jesse had borrowed his Mustang and not returned, Daisy's concern grew deeper. Back on Willow Road, Jesse had a crackling fire going just as the cold front was arriving. The temperature had already dropped 10 degrees in the short time they had been there. Emma sat on a log by the fire, gazing into the flame as her ears were focused on listening for the sound of distant oncoming vehicles. Jesse gathered up a lot of firewood to prepare for the possibility that they could be spending a lot of time there before being rescued. He then sat beside Emma who put her head on Jesse's shoulder.* "Do you think somebody's gonna come by Jesse?" Jesse's response sounded confident "Why sure they will Emma." But inside, the old ridge runner was getting nervous.
  7. Amen to that LucasDucas. Amen to that!
  8. Welcome to Hazzard County Lucas. You sure sound like the kind of person who belongs here and we're excited to hear a lot more from you. Earlier this week I heard Alabama's "Tennessee Christmas" on the radio. Any chance of a white Christmas down there?
  9. Hey Hoss, what I meant was....since some folks come up with trivia answers better than I do, they're smarter..... I didn't mean that you thought were smarter than me because you took over the trivia thread..... LOL.....just thought I'd clear up my poor choice of words
  10. I'll take credit for writing it down but I don't deserve much credit for knowing it. Since Hoss has taken over the trivia thread I've proven that I'm NOT the most knowledgable fan on the HazzardNet. (Although I'd be in the running for the most passionate award). I've often wondered if anyone on the planet has ever seen more episodes than me....of course we'll never know the answer to that one. I just wish I remembered the details as well as I used to...without having to consult my notebook. I guess I have an excuse for the memory thing, having turned 50 this year...LOL
  11. I see that I added the name Henry to Doc Petticord later in my notebook. This probably means that they didn't reveal his first name until sometime after the first season. (Since Double Sting was the last episode of the first season)
  12. I'm with you Hoss. There's just something about old trucks! Nice piece of work buddy!
  13. According to my notebook (which was compiled by watching each episode one year, double checking by watching each episode the next year and triple checked by watching each episode the third year.....SERIOUSLY)...... Doc Petticord's first name was Henry. The dentist was Homer Willis. Doc Carney's first name was Ronald. Doc Appleby was not given a first name. Doc Peterson was not given a first name. Notes: Surprisingly Doc Appleby didn't appear until season 4 (Coltrane vs Duke). Doc Carney is the one who thought Boss was dying (The Late J.D. Hogg). Doc Petticord was the first doctor on the show (season 1 Double Sting) Doc Peterson was from season 5 (Farewell Hazzard).
  14. I was laying in bed last night after I logged out and remembered the reason Bo and Luke were given the sleeping gas. Then I remembered Hughie Hogg's genie scam and realized I posted the wrong episode. Hey MM, did Buford get it with my clue or didn't he need it?
  15. I kept my resolution. How did you other folks do? Hopefully we'll get more participants in 2011.
