  1. Well I'm not beautiful talented or sexy so I guess I can't be a pretty piggy. Now if they have an average middle-aged hogg contest, count me in. Nice job as always Hoss!
  2. Since David Ragen is out of it I'm hoping Kurt Busch wins it all!
  3. Shucks, this stinks. I'm not going to be by a computer October 1st. If you folks want to keep this new tradition alive go ahead without me. After all, I was the one who said it should be on the first day of every month so I don't deserve to get in on the fun since I can't make it. As a plan B I'll be in the chat room Tuesday the 4th at 8pm EST Sorry about that.

  5. I picked mine up today. Awesome!! It was so cool to see the General Lee on the cover when I looked on the magazine rack. It reminded me of the early 80's when stores were loaded with Dukes stuff and John, Tom and Catherine were plastered on the covers of magazines everywhere. I'm so thankful to Hot Rod magazine for putting this story together. My compliments to whoever made the decision to run with that idea. It was awesome to see HazzardNet.com mentioned right off the bat. The first folks I thought of were Meadowmufn, Brian and MaryAnne. I love you three and thank you so much for creating this place. I love all the other cars in the magazine as well. It made me appreciate the older cars. I sure miss them. You used to be able to work on them yourself now you can't even change your own spark plugs. Ahhhh, the good old days. I do have three complaints about the story....two are minor....no picture of Uncle Jesse and Rosco was spelled Roscoe. The only thing I really didn't like is that they mentioned that Sally Field is prettier than Catherine Bach is today. Not in my opinion Hot Rod magazine, not in my opinion! This is a magazine that will hold a special place in my collection of Dukes stuff. Thanks again to Hot Rod for doing it. You folks are awesome!!!
  6. Welcome to the HazzardNet!

  7. I'll give it another 24 hours to see if anybody agrees with you before I reveal the answer.
  8. Garrett has the Yankees and Brian has the Brewers. I have nobody because the Braves were terrible in September. So.....Brian and Garrett.....any chance I can have the Rangers? I don't deserve a second chance but I'd sure appreciate it. Are you picking someone Lizzy?
  9. I might have been premature to pick the Braves to win the World Series. They've crumbled in September worse than Big Ed Little stepping on a cracker. I guess we'll know tonight if they'll even make the playoffs. If they don't can I go with the Rangers?
  10. This is exciting!!! I'll pick one up tomorrow. Thanks for posting this!!! .......and.....Hi Capt!
  11. Welcome back. I have a valve that might need replaced someday. It gets checked every couple of years. Hopefully it won't need replaced until I'm much older. It's been a month since your surgery so it sounds like you're well on the road to recovery. Am I correct in assuming you're on blood thinner? It's nice to hear from you again.
  12. In "Robot P. Coltrane" who did Bo impersonate? A) President Ronald Reagan Elvis Presley C) Burt Reynolds D) Hank Williams Sr. E) Clark Gable F) Jimmy Stewart G) Cale Yarborough
  13. I'm feeling much better now. I guess I'm getting older and just can't keep up with too many things.....or maybe it's as simple as me having too many things going on. Either way, I've cut stuff out of my life and simplified it and I'm feeling pretty good. Now all I have to do is avoid taking on anything else. I don't want this to be a cyclical thing.
  14. Oh no, that's a toughie. I bet most people would pick too high of a number. I don't think it was as many as I would have originally guessed if I wouldn't have taken a little more time to think about it. I don't even think he showed up until season three. I'll guess 7 but I could be way off.
  15. Welcome to Hazzard County Davy. You wouldn't happen to be an NBA fan would you? I'm Pennsylvania's biggest Timberwolves fan....it's nice to see someone from Minnesota join HazzardNet.
  16. Welcome to the HazzardNet!

  17. LOL (Hey, with only three letters it won't let you use all caps but by adding this I can)
  18. Sorry about the disruption in the trivia thread. Go up to General Discussion...."computer vacation" for an explanation. Anybody is allowed to post questions here. This thread was never intended to be something that only one person at a time asked questions so fire away.
  19. I hate to do this again but I just have to. This stupid computer is ruining my life. Maybe I'm going through a mid-life crisis or something but I just need a break from it. It was nice when I just did HazzardNet but I've just taken on so many things with it, it's not even fun anymore when I turn it on. I'm losing sleep, not spending as much time with my wife, missing quality time with my grandsons, not getting outside enough, not watching any Dukes episodes and not working on my book because I'm in front of this contraption too much. I'm going to step back and take another week off like I did in April. I know I'll miss HazzardNet but hopefully it will only be a week. If only I can come back and avoid all those other websites I've gotten involved with I'd be okay but I always seem to get drawn into them. I've got to cure this computer addiction and get back to being me. Hopefully I'll return to the way I was in 2007 when I first learned how to use a computer.....All I did was HazzardNet, e-mail and nothing else. For now, I need another internet detox so I'm heading off-line again. Thanks for your patience and hopefully you'll understand. Talk to ya next week....probably.
  20. B.L., Hoss and MaryAnne got it right. I tried to trick everybody by having the answer be "A" twice in a row but nobody fell for it.
  21. Nice Hoss. Was Brian Coltrane displaying his Gremlin?
  22. Okay, we have three players with three teams. Does anybody else want in on this baseball playoff action?
  23. I was in the lobby of where I work when my boss told me. At first I thought it was just an accident and it was just a small plane. Then I went to the only place in the building where there was a television and watched the four tragedies play out. After the fourth plane crashed I thought there were going to be dozens more. Thank goodness they stopped falling from the sky. Even today, seeing the video of the second tower being hit is still hard to believe. I visited Ground Zero ten months later. It's the only time I've ever been to NYC. Words can't describe how emotional it was. Thanks for starting this thread CDoherty.
  24. Hi Hopester, that must be your drawing over in the album section of this profile....awesome! To answer your question, I fell in love with the Dukes when it first came out. I was 19 at the time....in fact I'm a week younger than John Schneider. We're both 51.

  25. Welcome to Hazzard County Hopester! I first became a Dukes fan when I was a teen-ager too. That was 32 years ago and my love of the show is still going strong. We look forward to hearing more about your love of the best show to ever grace a television screen.....and hopefully we'll get to see that award winning drawing of the General Lee.
