  1. Thanks for race results Garrett. I worked from 1:00 - 7:00 and didn't get to see a single lap. This summer my nephew is marrying a girl whose last name is Gordon but she claims that she's NOT related to Jeff. I looked closely at every one of the 200 people in that family picture and I'm pretty sure I didn't spot her in there so maybe she's telling the truth.
  2. Speaking of your Blackhawks, they were 9 seconds away from advancing to the Finals when they gave up a goal and the Kings tied it. As I type this it's still in overtime. Even if the Blackhawks lose they'll still be up 3 games to 2 but I sure hope they score soon and wrap this thing up.
  3. Hey Garrett, do you think that if I got a new paint scheme for my computer it would help me in fantasy NASCAR? Since I'm in last place I figure it couldn't hurt.
  4. Several more pages of FANTASTIC pictures have been posted since I started this thread to draw more attention to it. This "Rare and behind the scenes..." thread has quickly become my favorite place to hang out on the HazzardNet. If you haven't yet been down there you don't know what you're missing!
  5. Thank goodness I got my computer fixed. This thread is FANTASTIC!!!! Thanks so much for all these amazing contributions. I've just got done catching up all the ones I missed and can't stop smiling!
  6. Yep, you're right about that Hoss. I like country music but don't pay much attention to the new stuff despite the amazing talent of these newcomers. In fact, I don't even know who won any of the awards. By the way, congratulations on your 3000th post. You certainly are a well loved, respected and appreciated member of the HazzardNet family
  7. It looks like my Pirates are off to a good start in their weekend series with Garrett's Cubs. The Buccos beat the Cubbies 2-0 Friday night. It was a little scary for Pittsburgh fans when the Cubs had two runners on base and the winning run at bat in the bottom of the ninth but the story had a happy ending.....although Garrett wouldn't agree. Well Garrett, it looks like the Penguins are going to be eliminated so I'll be rooting for your Blackhawks to win the Stanley Cup.
  8. My wife was watching Inside Edition yesterday and called me into the room. They were talking about Paris Jackson's suicide attempt and were interviewing stars about it. As I recall the stars were at some kind of awards show. I'm not sure which one. Anyways, Hazzard County's John Schneider was one of the stars who was interviewed and were wishing Paris a speedy recovery.
  9. We haven't seen the sun here in northwestern Pennsylvania since Wednesday afternoon. The Poconos are in eastern Pennsylvania though. In fact, I'm so far from the Poconos the NASCAR race in Michigan is closer to me.
  10. Well, our computer might be fixed. It's worked the last 3 out of 4 times we've used it so I'm starting to feel a little optimistic. It looks like I have a lot to catch up on here. For those of you who don't already know......make sure your computer has malware protection in addition to virus protection.
  11. Thanks for all the updates Garrett and HOSS. Due to my computer troubles I only get to see them when I'm borrowing someone else's computer but I sure appreciate all you do.

    Duck Dynasty

RedneckGirl, You may have noticed from post #3 that I changed my PG rating to PG-13 after reconsidering and seeing a few more episodes. There are indeed a few "vulgar" conversations in there so I apologize if I misled anybody. Still, the PG-13 moments are few and far between. Don't forget that the first few episodes of Dukes were a little on the PG-13 side but then they realized that the show would succeed beyond their wildest dreams if they cleaned things up. That worked just like planned and caused Dukes to appeal to an even wider audience and thus have an even larger fan base. Shows make money based on the number of viewers and if Duck Dynasty learns the lesson that Warner Brothers learned so well in 1979-80, there's no limit on how popular the show can become.
  13. My son-in-law wasn't able to fix our computer so we're going with a plan B and if that doesn't work plan C, which is the blender Hoss suggested. If my wife decides to replace the computer with one of those android phones or iphones or smart phones or whatever it is you call them I might not be around HazzardNet too much. I can't stand those little gadgets. The younger generation has replaced human friends with electronic gizmo friends and they treat those things like they're objects worthy of worship. It's not just the younger generation. I know several people who you can't even have a conversation with because their gizmos take priority over human interaction. I want no part of that kind of technology. Cell phones (and these new gadgets that I call cell phones on steroids) are changing human beings and the change will hurt us all in the long run.
  14. Georgia (home of that famous nut farmer President Jimmy Carter)
  15. I just found out that my son-in-law hasn't even looked at my computer yet so I'm still playing the waiting game.
  16. Thanks for the response Roth. I'm not sure if the moderators want me to mention the type of virus protection I have because I don't want to criticize them if it's not their fault. I will say that it costs 130 dollars per year and is paid up until October. I'm finding out that virus protection does no good against malware. In the meantime, my son-in-law (the computer engineer) has the computer and won't be able to work on it right away. I likely won't be logging in until Tuesday at the earliest. This has been so frustrating. The most frustrating part is that we'll just encounter another problem when it gets back. All it seems to do is move on to the next problem once one gets resolved.
  17. Here we go again. Now the computer has a malware infection (whatever that is) and is completely unusable. I don't often get a chance to use a computer anywhere else so I likely won't be logging much until it's fixed. We have had had more trouble in a year with our laptop than all the years of a big computer combined. All our virus updates are in place and my son-in-law (who is a computer engineer) is always maintaining it but none of that seems to help. I'm so sick of technology. Grrrr!

    Duck Dynasty

I have just seen the second reference to the Dukes of Hazzard on Duck Dynasty. In one episode someone said that the CEO of the company (Willie) acted like Boss Hogg. In another episode they were talking about the local cops (since two of the characters went with them for a "ride along") They then mentioned Boss and Rosco.
  19. I'm sure a few of you only glance through things here at the top of the page but if you haven't scrolled down to the bottom you're missing an amazing treat. Roth_Potter has posted 4 (for now) pages of incredible pictures on the General Discussion forum with the thread "Rare and behind the scenes..." There are some real gems amongst these contributions so if you haven't flipped through them head down there and check them out. Thanks Roth for these great pictures! They're a must see for all Dukes fans!
