Cool Hands Luke and Bo.......season 7 Bo and Luke crossed the Osage County line with permission to pick up orphans and take them to a 4H camp. Sheriff "Droopy" Cathcarte caught them after a chase and Boss Colonel Cassius Claibourne sentenced them to two years hard labor on the Osage Road Gang even though Bo said "back in Hazzard that'd add up to about 20 bucks" referring to what their punishment should be. Claibourne had just completed his first step to take over Hazzard. Boss was happy about their arrest but got so much pressure from the townsfolk and Lulu that he was forced to help them. Bo and Luke got in a fight with the guards and gained instant respect from the prisoners, including Charlie, who had been there 6 years for jaywalking. When Boss and Rosco went to get the boys they were tricked and ended up in the road gang prison too. Lulu was in tears because "neither one of them has ever done a day's work in their lives". Jesse called Congressman Ezra Fulton and got release orders for the 4 Hazzard guys but by the time he got to Osage Bo and Luke had attempted an escape and Boss and Rosco helped them so Claibourne wouldn't let them go. The boys got locked in small outdoor cages as punishment. Claibourne then treated Boss to a feast but he had to sign away everything he owned to get each course. Lulu came to visit and got caught with tools to help them escape and Boss and Rosco ended up in the cages. Later, with Daisy's help everybody escaped. The truckload of prisoners crossed the Hazzard County line and when Claibourne and Cathcarte's car was pushed over the line they were arrested by Sheriff Rosco P. Coltrane. Boss got his businesses back. An investigation by higher authorities got the road gang closed for good. -- Cool Hand Luke was a 1967 Paul Newman movie. -- James Avery played Charlie. He went on to be Uncle Phil on Fresh Prince of Bel Air. -- Waylon mentioned the video game Pac-Man in this episode. -- Claude Earl Jones played Cathcarte...what a great actor......perfect for a southern sheriff. -- After seeing the Osage law the Hazzard law isn't so bad.

I think a lot of people are just getting tired of being scared all the time. They also see their friends and family getting covid, getting sick a few days and getting back to normal life (like I did). That doesn't mean you can't die from it or cause someone else to die. It's simply like most of life.....risk vs reward. Since the death rate has been (relatively) low they just aren't as concerned as when this thing started in the spring. I'm not saying they shouldn't be. I'm just stating that they aren't. We're having a Halloween spike. We'll have one for Thanksgiving and Christmas too. Human nature can be a tough thing to stop. We're staying home Thursday.

Now, that is one of the funniest things I've seen in a long time!!!! I generallee like humor like that.

The Dukes do Paris Boss made a deal with Blankey LeBlanc to buy the rare postal stamp, the Blue Oiseau (pronounced Wazoo.....it is a blue bird). There are only 2 like it in the world and Boss expects to get one million dollars for it in America. A French police inspector is investigating LeBlanc, who accidently gives the stamp to Daisy. Boss and Rosco convince the inspector the Dukes are criminals so he throws them in jail and then LeBlanc explains to Boss that Daisy has the stamp. Boss paid the 5000 Francs to get the Dukes out of jail and grabbed the envelope that contained the Oiseau.....or so he thought. LeBlanc started chasing Boss because he never paid him. The General was in on the chase too. The stamp then went from one person to another so fast that it was hard to keep up with. The inspector caught LeBlanc and it was believed the stamp was destroyed in the river. Back at the farm Jesse didn't notice the Oiseau stamp on the letter that Daisy sent. His pet, Smokey the racoon did and threw it on the ground and that is how the episode ended.

The Dukes of Scotland When driving past Loch Ness, Daisy spotted the monster but Coy and Vance didn't. The 3 Dukes went to a castle inherited by their friends from Hazzard, June and Billy Bob Steward. They, and their unfriendly servants, claimed the castle was haunted by the ghost of Angus McCavish, who had gone missing centuries ago while hunting for the monster. Boss, Rosco and Flash came to the castle too. Daisy was the first to see Angus and later Rosco saw him. Boss and Rosco then found a huge pile of British money and loaded it in his Cadillac. In the morning the Stewards came up missing and a servant, Mrs. Murdock claimed the monster took them. The Dukes found out someone was faking the ghost with modern technology to scare people away and also found a printing press where money was being counterfeited. Daisy got kidnapped and Mrs. Murdock and her partner said they'd kill her and the Stewards if the boys didn't get the money back from Boss, who had already left. After bringing the money back they encountered Detective McDougall and the police. McDougal had been working undercover as a butler. Mrs. Murdock and her partner were arrested. When the detective showed them how the fake, mechanical Loch Ness monster worked the real one attacked it. -- What a great episode...best cartoon yet...it had a bit of a Scooby-Doo feel to it. -- Hey Hoss, there were two scenes where there was a closeup of the one pound note. Except for the crossed Queen's eyes, how real do they look? The scenes are when the Dukes find the printing press and at the end when they take the money from Boss.

So cool Hobie.....right by your house! If you see an orange clunker car going by go chase it. And if Bo runs out of gas, don't forget about that case of your finest in the trunk. Never waste a sip!

I sure have been hearing your name a lot on all these virus stories they have been doing on TV......Spike. My wife says their hospital is full so hopefully things will start to slow down.

It's a good thing the episode title didn't cause any international incidents. It was a sensitive time period back them. That would have been terrible if a Dukes of Hazzard cartoon would have triggered WW III.

The Dukes in Hollywood......season 7 A guy driving through Hazzard County stopped to take a log off the road and got attacked by two masked men. It turns out they were only actors from Hollywood filming a movie in Hazzard County. The big star is named Brock Curtis and the movie producer's name is Jason Dillard. Dillard is having serious money problems and since he has a 5 million dollar life insurance policy on Brock he is trying to kill him with the help of his assistant, Blake. They disabled the brakes on the car Brock hopped into and took off with, but thanks to the Dukes, the actor's life was saved. A helicopter filmed the unscripted rescue. Brock invites the 3 younger Dukes to Hollywood with their orange car. He wants them there for 2 weeks to be in his film.. A flirty Daisy likes the idea. Boss dresses up like Elton John and tells Dillard he wants him to make a film about his life. He wants Robert Redford to play him and Bo Derek to play Lulu. Rosco wants Burt Reynolds to play him. Boss forces the film-makers to let him and Rosco go to Hollywood because he claimed that they need to be the boys probation officers. After a Hollywood tour the Dukes, Boss, Rosco and Flash go to the studios where Blake makes another unsuccessful attempt on Brock's life. Boss and Rosco spent their time running from security guards who wanted to kick them out because Boss kept pestering people about a movie about his life. At one point, Boss put a frog head mask on and Rosco got in a gorilla suit to evade the guards. Jackie, the script girl told Bo about Dillard's financial troubles and after a search of his trailer and a phone call, the Dukes figured out what his murderous scheme was. Blake tried to kill the Dukes and after another attempt to kill Brock got caught after a car chase, ending near an active war movie set. Blake and Dillard were arrested and the Hazzard folks went home. -- Brock was played by Barry Van Dyke, the son of Hollywood legend Dick Van Dyke. -- When Boss and Rosco crashed their bicycle into a harem set they thought they died and went to Heaven. -- When considering going to Hollywood, it was funny when Luke said "We ain't done no acting"

No More Mr. Nice Guy......season 7 The 4 Dukes head to the Capitol City Department Store because Daisy got a telegram saying she won a bunch of prizes for being the one millionth customer. When they arrive she receives a yellow classic Ford Mustang, fur coat, gold bracelet and 4 tickets to Mexico. Unfortunately, it's all a Boss Hogg scam. Senator Shaft is on his way to Hazzard to investigate a burglary ring and Boss gave Daisy stolen stuff to frame the Dukes. Boss's accomplices are Billie Jean, Stoney and Zack. Rosco arrested Daisy and Jesse but Bo and Luke got away. Boss had an accident with a skateboard and shopping cart and hit his head on the sidewalk and lost his memory. He turned into a nice guy and even freed Daisy and Jesse. Billie Jean and her thugs didn't believe Boss really lost his memory. Rosco hit Boss on the head and jarred his memory back. They tried to arrest Bo and Luke but they got away. Boss got kidnapped by the bad gang, receiving a hit on his head, losing his memory again. One of the thugs hit him in the car and he got it back once more. The 4 Dukes sprang to action to save Boss after the kidnappers called Enos to demand their stolen merchandise back. Enos teamed up with the Dukes just as the Senator was arriving. Rosco showed up and delivered the Mustang and stolen goods to the gang and they kidnapped him too. The Duke boys figured out where they were and rescued them from Stoney, while Daisy caught Billie Jean and Jesse caught Zack. The senator thanked the Dukes and Enos for stopping the burglary ring. -- Boss kept calling his sheriff Bosco. -- Stoney was played by former Oakland Raider NFL great John Matuszak. -- Classic scene when Rosco was in the Hazzard Hotel. He was looking for a diamond necklace Boss lost and wandered into a room where a big angry husband punched him. He went through a window, bounced off a trampoline into a dumpster. The truck driver then dumped the dumpster into his truck.

That is a good point Hoss. It must have been an error. They weren't shy about using other real places. The spelling hasn't changed since the early 80s has it?

The Dukes in Hong Kong Boss tricked the Dukes into thinking his Cadillac was out of commission so they would let their guard down. He had a hydra-boat rigged up under his car and took a shortcut through the water. Boss went to his acquaintance, Lo Phat Chow where he met pirate Captain Crikey. Boss made a deal with Crikey who sent his thugs to slow down the General Lee by capturing it in a giant net and putting the Dukes in cells on his ship, the Sea Scum. They escaped and swam to shore and got the General back. Crikey then took Boss, Rosco and Flash out to sea with intent to kill them. The Dukes rigged up a paddle/sail boat under the General. Just as Rosco and Boss were walking the plank above circling sharks, Flash hit a lever that sank the ship. The pirates swam to shore and the Dukes rescued Boss, Rosco and Flash.

The Dukes in Urbekistan In the middle of the Urbekistan wilderness, Coy, Vance and Daisy run across Debra Farr of London who is looking for her missing geologist father, who was last known to be searching for a legendary diamond mine in a valley. The area is so dangerous that even her guides ran away from the wild animals and men who dress like animals, known as the Urbeks. The Dukes found the mine with her, and inside, located her father, who had just dug up a basket full of diamonds. Boss and Rosco came in later and when the Urbeks showed up Boss ended up with the diamonds but lost them and the race around the world started up again.

The Dukes of India Boss called his friend the Grand Brazier and made a deal to slow down the Dukes so he could win the race. The Brazier hired guys to trap the General Lee in a tiger pit. Then we learn that Vance has a look-a-like, Prince Ahmad, they could pass for twins. Ahmad was due to be promoted to Sultan the next day and was the nephew of the Brazier. If he didn't show up for the ceremony, the Brazier was next in line to get his weight in jewels so the Brazier had Vance locked up, thinking it was Ahmad. Ahmad switched places with Vance but all 3 Dukes got caught and all 4 got locked up. Ahmad then used an elephant to free them all and they went to the ceremony. When they got there they found Boss disguised as the Brazier to get his weight in jewels. Boss and the Brazier didn't get away with their schemes. Ahmad ended up becoming Sultan.

The Greece Fleece While the Dukes were running out of gas on their way to Athens, Boss called an old friend of his, Big Nick Metropopolous. Nick was the boss of Gravias City. Nick used his lawman and framed the Dukes and threw them in jail. While the Dukes were escaping through the drain tunnels Boss and Nick were making another deal. Nick wanted to give Boss his niece's (Malina) dowery of gold coins in exchange for Boss marrying her. Boss agreed. The Dukes got recaptured and put back in jail. Malina came to see them and they told her Boss was already married. She didn't want to marry him anyways. Her true love was a man named Stavros. She helped the Dukes to break out and in the end, her and Stavros were the two that got married. -- I have to admit, this was an unusual plot for a kid's cartoon.

Robot P. Coltrane.......season 7 Two guys named Rance and Marv come through Hazzard with a delivery truck hauling a mysterious stolen item. The Duke boys helped Rosco catch them for speeding and he seized their truck and took it to Boss in town. When Boss forced them to show him the contents, out walked a robot and the first thing he did was light Boss's cigar. The robot's name is Bobby Joe and Rance was one of the engineers who developed him. He worked at Atlanta Robotics and had stolen the robot because he was fired and was planning on asking $200,000 for Bobby Joe's return. Boss bought the robot but Rance and Marv were planning on stealing him later. After the robot proved he could be a better sheriff than Rosco, Boss fired his human and put the sheriff's badge on Bobby Joe. The Duke boys found the bad guys hideout and grabbed the ransom note for evidence but got caught and tied up but eventually worked their way loose. Bobby Joe got the combination to the bank vault and Rance and Marv opened it and stole bags of cash while the robot pinned Rosco into the wall. Boss, Bo and Luke arrived at the bank and then the boys took off after the robbers. Jesse and Daisy freed Rosco by throwing water on Bobby Joe's circuits. The Duke boys caught the bad guys and Rosco and Enos arrested them. Rosco got his job back. -- According to David Hofstede's Unofficial Companion, Daisy and the robot were dating. Robert Shields was the actor in the suit and Catherine was dating him at time.

ROFL......ummmm.......woops! ROFL again. My mistake. In my defense, Flash was called a boy at first. I'm going to pay attention to see if Rosco is calling her a girl or not in these cartoons. Watching these cartoons is like watching them all over again since I don't remember too much about them. The Christmas one is the only one I remember well because I've seen it often. This London episode has been my favorite of the 6 I've seen so far. BTW Hoss, London Canada is just across Lake Erie from me.

The Dukes of London Boss and Rosco were stuck at a railroad crossing because a train had stopped. While there, Flash got out and met Regina, the Queen's Royal Bassett Hound. The two were look-a-likes and the next thing you know, Regina left with Rosco while Flash was left behind. The Dukes (of Hazzard that is) came along and picked Flash up but the Queen's assistant thought they had dognapped Regina and after a police chase they were caught and thrown in jail. Now, Flash was with the Queen and Regina was with Rosco but nobody knew the difference. Vance got one phone call in jail and called the Queen, who mistakenly thought he was a different kind of Duke and ordered the Dukes freed. Back at Buckingham Palace, Flash got away and the British press reported Regina was missing. Boss realized the dogs had been switched and called the Palace about a possible reward but while he was talking, Regina hopped in a double-decker bus and on the next stop, found Flash. The two jumped in a hot air balloon. Vance shot it down with an arrow and the two hounds ended up on a moving speed boat but Coy and Vance rescued them and then Flash and Regina were returned to their rightful owners. -- Hmmm, a sequel would have been nice.....a litter of puppies a few weeks later

Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Duke.....season 7 A van hauling experimental, mind-altering medication developed by Dr. Debbie Davis of Genetic Research Incorporated is driving through Hazzard. It is on the way to Atlanta to destroy the medication because it has been determined that it is too dangerous. The van swerved to miss a vehicle and a vile popped out of the back and flew through the air and landed on a rock and into Hazzard Pond. Moments later, the General Lee came by. Bo, Luke and Daisy were on their way to the annual Hazzard Hayride and the General had radiator problems and needed water. While Luke was filling up his container he took a sip of the pond water and felt the chemical's effects immediately. He starts acting angry and the first person he insults is Bo. Meanwhile, two guys named Ben and Hurley open a savings account with Boss but are planning on robbing his bank later. Luke turns up the volume on his new-found badness, insulting everybody in sight. He then returns to the farm and insults Jesse too. Back in Atlanta they discover the missing vile but Debbie's boss, Mr. Adams orders her to keep the whole thing a secret to protect them and the company. Debbie is not comfortable with that. After terrorizing the citizens of Hazzard even more, Luke teams up with Ben and Hurley to be their wheelman for the robbery. They give him $500 for an incentive and he gives it to Bo for his half of the General Lee. Rosco found out about the upcoming robbery so Boss set up cameras to get Luke in trouble. The Dukes found the broken vile at the pond. They went to Atlanta and got no answers and broke in later that night. Debbie explained that the chemicals should wear off soon and Luke would recover. The Dukes figured out that Luke was in on a bank robbery plan so went to stop him but Jesse's truck got a flat. Enos came by and Bo jumped in with him and went to town but it was too late. The bank had been robbed and Boss had Ben, Hurley and Luke on tape. Rosco left for Atlanta to take the VHS to the FBI but Jesse and Daisy stopped him. While talking, Flash destroyed the tape when Rosco threw it in the back seat. Bo and Enos caught the robbers. Enos took Ben and Hurley into custody. Bo and Luke had a fight but the medicine wore off and that caused the fight and the episode to end. -- The wheelman's (who Luke replaced) name was Zeb but the credits listed him as Toby (unless I have him mixed up with someone else). His real name is James Bradford. Sounds like a job for detective Hoss. -- I have to admit that I'm not a big fan of this episode. Seeing Luke like that is not fun.
