Boss O'Hogg and the Little People Bo and Luke return in this one but with no explanation as in the regular series. They're racing through Ireland where Boss believes that if you catch a leprechaun he has to give you his pot of gold. Boss stole the General Lee's registration and called the Irish police and told them it was a stolen car so they got caught and thrown in jail. Boss and Rosco got lost and had to camp out. In the middle of the night Rosco saw a bunch of leprechauns. He woke Boss and Rosco caught one named Shaun and he was forced to lead them to where the gold was hidden in a tree and Boss took it. Two of the other leprechauns introduced themselves to the DukesI, who were now out of prison, and told them what Boss and Rosco did. Boss stole even more gold but the other leprachauns caught them in a net and took them to their Grand Wizard for punishment. The Dukes showed up at the trial as the Wizard was planning on casting an eternal spell on Boss, but not Rosco. They convinced him not to, but as punishment the Wizard took every last bill and coin Boss had. -- I bet Bo and Luke decided to return in this episode because they were hoping to meet Hoss.

The Dukes in Switzerland Boss hired a guy with a big snowplow and he buried the General Lee in the white stuff with the Dukes in it. Boss didn't pay him and the Dukes broke out of the snow pile and then rescued a lady named Lilly who was on skies being chased by a bad guy on a snowmobile from the Slovanian Secret Police (SSP). He had followed her to Switzerland to get a secret formula from her father, Dr. Banov. The formula turned sea water into gasoline. Boss had a bug in the General and heard her talk about the formula so naturally wanted it. The Dukes took her back to the hotel to be reunited with her father and she warned him about the SSP. Boss and Rosco managed to steal some of the gasoline and were chased by the SSP. They encountered the angry snow plow driver who ran them off the road, destroying the explosive liquid. Banov and Lilly got kidnapped by the SSP. Boss and Rosco went to where they were being held and the Dukes showed up too and had to stop a helicopter from taking Lilliy and her father away.

You are right again. Thanks for the correction. I actually had it right at first but looked at the book for something else and went back to my post and "corrected" it. It's a good thing I don't depend on that book too much because it is loaded with errors. I have caught myself glancing at it more in season 7 than usual though.....only 9 episodes left.

Happy Thanksgiving!
RogerDuke replied to Boss JD Hogg's topic in Dukes of Hazzard General Discussion
You too JD. It's great to hear from you. Happy Thanksgiving to everybody. I always feel bad for Hoss.....on July 4th too. Hoss, how many holidays do you have that we dont? -
Thanks for correcting me. I didn't notice his name on the blacksmith's shop. David Hofstede also has it incorrect, listing him as Dieter (with an i) in his Unofficial Companion.

Go West, Young Dukes.......season 7 Boss just inherited half of his great granddaddy's estate, including a deed to the Duke farm dated June 13, 1872 and signed by Thaddeus Hogg and Jeremiah Duke. After going to Capitol City and confirming the deed's authenticity Boss gave the Dukes 24 hours to leave the farm. Jesse found his great great grandma Jenny's diary and drifted back in time to 1872 to Sleepy City, Hazzard's former name. After Thaddeus burned down Jeremiah and Jenny's barn, Jeremiah sent messages for help and his nephews Joe (Bo), Hank (Luke) and niece Dixie (Daisy) showed up. Joe revealed his identity but Hank and Daisy didn't. Hank pretended to be a drifter and Dixie got at job at Thaddeus's saloon. Deeter Davenport, the town blacksmith also wanted to help the Dukes. Thaddeus called in reinforcements too, Frank and Jesse James. The first thing the younger Dukes did was stop the James boys from robbing a stagecoach. The James boys found out that Hank was really a Duke and told Thaddeus and Rufus. Joe and Hank got in a bar fight with Frank and Jesse. Rufus framed and arrested Hank for horse theft but Joe got away. Jeremiah signed the farm away to get Hank out of jail but he broke out with Dixie's help before Thaddeus could get back to free him. The James boys robbed Thaddeus's safe and took him and Rufus hostage and it was hot pursuit time. Joe, Hank and Dixie caught the James gang and freed their hostages. Thaddeus was so grateful that he signed the farm back to Jeremiah and Jenny. Fade ahead to Hazzard County. The 4 Dukes and Cooter are at the farm celebrating the words in Jenny's diary. She left a clue as to the whereabouts of the revised deed and the Dukes figured out it was Boot Hill cemetery and went there and unburied it. -- What a fun episode.....a true classic that every Duke fan cherishes. -- My only disappointment is that Enos wasn't on it.

Hmmmm, don't know what I did wrong on that last post. I guess you have to hit expand to read my response.

There's a saying in economics, the more you have of something, the less it's worth. I think you are on to something Spike. We get lectured so much we've stopped taking the warnings seriously because there are so many of them that they have lost their worth. Adults are no different than kids. If you yell at your kids constantly they stop taking you seriously. If you rarely yell, they really listen when you do.

That's what's going on at my wife's hospital. The workers are really pushed hard because they aren't replacing the sick ones. Her hours have been increased and the work is much tougher.

Cool Hands Luke and Bo.......season 7 Bo and Luke crossed the Osage County line with permission to pick up orphans and take them to a 4H camp. Sheriff "Droopy" Cathcarte caught them after a chase and Boss Colonel Cassius Claibourne sentenced them to two years hard labor on the Osage Road Gang even though Bo said "back in Hazzard that'd add up to about 20 bucks" referring to what their punishment should be. Claibourne had just completed his first step to take over Hazzard. Boss was happy about their arrest but got so much pressure from the townsfolk and Lulu that he was forced to help them. Bo and Luke got in a fight with the guards and gained instant respect from the prisoners, including Charlie, who had been there 6 years for jaywalking. When Boss and Rosco went to get the boys they were tricked and ended up in the road gang prison too. Lulu was in tears because "neither one of them has ever done a day's work in their lives". Jesse called Congressman Ezra Fulton and got release orders for the 4 Hazzard guys but by the time he got to Osage Bo and Luke had attempted an escape and Boss and Rosco helped them so Claibourne wouldn't let them go. The boys got locked in small outdoor cages as punishment. Claibourne then treated Boss to a feast but he had to sign away everything he owned to get each course. Lulu came to visit and got caught with tools to help them escape and Boss and Rosco ended up in the cages. Later, with Daisy's help everybody escaped. The truckload of prisoners crossed the Hazzard County line and when Claibourne and Cathcarte's car was pushed over the line they were arrested by Sheriff Rosco P. Coltrane. Boss got his businesses back. An investigation by higher authorities got the road gang closed for good. -- Cool Hand Luke was a 1967 Paul Newman movie. -- James Avery played Charlie. He went on to be Uncle Phil on Fresh Prince of Bel Air. -- Waylon mentioned the video game Pac-Man in this episode. -- Claude Earl Jones played Cathcarte...what a great actor......perfect for a southern sheriff. -- After seeing the Osage law the Hazzard law isn't so bad.

I think a lot of people are just getting tired of being scared all the time. They also see their friends and family getting covid, getting sick a few days and getting back to normal life (like I did). That doesn't mean you can't die from it or cause someone else to die. It's simply like most of life.....risk vs reward. Since the death rate has been (relatively) low they just aren't as concerned as when this thing started in the spring. I'm not saying they shouldn't be. I'm just stating that they aren't. We're having a Halloween spike. We'll have one for Thanksgiving and Christmas too. Human nature can be a tough thing to stop. We're staying home Thursday.

Now, that is one of the funniest things I've seen in a long time!!!! I generallee like humor like that.

The Dukes do Paris Boss made a deal with Blankey LeBlanc to buy the rare postal stamp, the Blue Oiseau (pronounced Wazoo.....it is a blue bird). There are only 2 like it in the world and Boss expects to get one million dollars for it in America. A French police inspector is investigating LeBlanc, who accidently gives the stamp to Daisy. Boss and Rosco convince the inspector the Dukes are criminals so he throws them in jail and then LeBlanc explains to Boss that Daisy has the stamp. Boss paid the 5000 Francs to get the Dukes out of jail and grabbed the envelope that contained the Oiseau.....or so he thought. LeBlanc started chasing Boss because he never paid him. The General was in on the chase too. The stamp then went from one person to another so fast that it was hard to keep up with. The inspector caught LeBlanc and it was believed the stamp was destroyed in the river. Back at the farm Jesse didn't notice the Oiseau stamp on the letter that Daisy sent. His pet, Smokey the racoon did and threw it on the ground and that is how the episode ended.

The Dukes of Scotland When driving past Loch Ness, Daisy spotted the monster but Coy and Vance didn't. The 3 Dukes went to a castle inherited by their friends from Hazzard, June and Billy Bob Steward. They, and their unfriendly servants, claimed the castle was haunted by the ghost of Angus McCavish, who had gone missing centuries ago while hunting for the monster. Boss, Rosco and Flash came to the castle too. Daisy was the first to see Angus and later Rosco saw him. Boss and Rosco then found a huge pile of British money and loaded it in his Cadillac. In the morning the Stewards came up missing and a servant, Mrs. Murdock claimed the monster took them. The Dukes found out someone was faking the ghost with modern technology to scare people away and also found a printing press where money was being counterfeited. Daisy got kidnapped and Mrs. Murdock and her partner said they'd kill her and the Stewards if the boys didn't get the money back from Boss, who had already left. After bringing the money back they encountered Detective McDougall and the police. McDougal had been working undercover as a butler. Mrs. Murdock and her partner were arrested. When the detective showed them how the fake, mechanical Loch Ness monster worked the real one attacked it. -- What a great episode...best cartoon yet...it had a bit of a Scooby-Doo feel to it. -- Hey Hoss, there were two scenes where there was a closeup of the one pound note. Except for the crossed Queen's eyes, how real do they look? The scenes are when the Dukes find the printing press and at the end when they take the money from Boss.

So cool Hobie.....right by your house! If you see an orange clunker car going by go chase it. And if Bo runs out of gas, don't forget about that case of your finest in the trunk. Never waste a sip!
