  1. Did you ever do Pappy Boyington's Mustang fighter plane from WW II? I used to love Robert Conrad's old TV show Baa Baa Black Sheep. They stuck a bunch of rebellious trouble making fighter pilots together and they turned into a pretty elite force. It was based on a true story.
  2. I'm only generous with it because it is deserved....are all 10 of your projects from Dukes? Any chance of posting a group picture when you're done with Daisy's car?
  3. I've bumped into his family members from time to time but I've never told them that I saw him just seconds before the tragedy. I'm acquaintances with them but not really friends so it just doesn't seem appropriate. I did find out later that the lady who backed into him was from out of town and was just using the driveway to turn around because she was lost.
  4. I did see a kid just seconds before he was killed. I was in my car turning off the main road onto my road and he was on his motorcycle. We waved to each other. I found out later that a lady didn't even see him and backed out in front of him just 300 foot away from that intersection. Since she never saw him I was probably the last person to see him alive.
  5. If it weren't for that roll of tape and tool laying there I would have thought that this is a real car. Unbelievable attention to details......a true work of art! Thanks for taking the time to share it.
  6. The Moonshine 500 is always my second favorite race of the year. Nothing beats the Buttermilk 5.00 where you chug a quart of buttermilk and try to run around the barn 5 times. Nobody has ever made it 5 times around without losing their buttermilk so we always give the trophy to the person who made it farthest. The trophy is a gallon of buttermilk in a moonshine jug signed by Hazzard's biggest buttermilk drinker, Enos Strate.
  7. spaceship (Alf was also a cartoon....watched it with my daughter every Saturday)
  8. Belated happy birthday Spike! It's good to hear you had a good one. I've been doing a lot of kayaking lately. On the sad side, I just heard that a 20 year old from Ohio was killed instantly when his neck was broke in a local Pennsylvania dirt bike race on Saturday. I go to that race track often but wasn't there Saturday. I'm glad I didn't see it. If I would have that would be something that would be tough to get out of my head. I've never witnessed anyone die in an accident.

  10. And it didn't matter how big and tough you were. Nobody messed with the Postmistress of Hazzard.

  12. My son-in-law is a big NASCAR fan so my daughter came over today for Father's Day and we watched some of the race. I always enjoy it when I'm with someone who knows the answers to my questions. It sure was interesting to see a race in Nashville.....I bet the locals were loving that.
  13. Happy birthday to Miz Emma Tisdale. Nedra Volz was born on 6-18-1908 in Montrose Iowa. She stood at 4 foot 11 inches but despite that was very intimidating. If she asked you to take a number you did it.

  15. LOL.....my Facebook issues have followed me to the HazzardNet. Seriously though, I just had it with how they censor certain types of political thought and let others run wild and free to spew anything they want. The fair thing is to let everybody have a voice or let nobody have a voice. I left once and came back but I won't be back again.

  17. 'Ol Waylon was born on this day in 1937 in Littlefield Texas. We'll meet ya at the Boar's Nest later this evening to celebrate. Hopefully, Jessi, Shooter and Whey will be able to join us.
  18. What kind of "bigger role" are you talking about for JG?
  19. I feel bad for cops. The mainstream media treats them like they are the criminals and treats the criminals like they are simply poor misunderstood people who cops shouldn't be allowed to arrest because they already have a tough enough life.

  21. I've only had one set. Waiting for each season to come out was as exciting as late Friday afternoon and waiting until 8:00 from 1979-1985. One of the secrets to happiness is having something to look forward to.
  22. The detailing inside the engine compartment is unbelievable!
  23. LOL now, that's funny! And now I have the Blues Clues song in my head.
