Honestly I genuinely feel blessed to be here, and thanks for the compliment Roger.

I married too young and it didn't last. But my second wife and I are are closing in on 30 years of marriage and still deeply in love. So I guess Hobie is right. You are flipping a coin. That's why it's not something you should rush into....even if you can tell on the first date that it's the person you want to be with forever. You need at least a year together before proposing. And even that is no guarantee of long term success if you marry.

I'm suspecting a mistake was made. It seems like it should be One Armed Bandits vs Days of Shine and Roses.

That's because you have! And we are lucky to have you. A lot of people hang out a few days and then we never hear from them again but I can tell you are different....and I mean that as a compliment!

my advice.....DON'T DO IT!!! It's like smoking....don't even start!! Studies have shown that dating leads to marriage and that marriage, in this country, is the leading cause of divorce! ( Don't believe me?? Think on this!.....100% of the people you know that are divorced, at one time, were married! It's the 2nd biggest mistake I ever made in my life!

I got to see the races a few years ago, so I fairly randomly picked Ricky Stenhouse Jr as it was his first season and my first season. Nowadays, I don't see the races and only occasionally see the results. You will, however, notice that I regularly hijack the NASCAR News thread to post about F1. I tend to be fairly patriotic with my driver choices and back the British drivers. I'd love Lewis Hamilton to win an eighth championship before he retires, but it looks more like being Lando Norris's year. George Russell could also be in with a chance.

This could be an interesting thread. I doubt anybody has ever started a thread like this before on the HazzardNet. The first bit of advice I would give is to not take advice about romance from an internet forum. But if you do, make sure it's this one....LOL I don't even know where to start. Advice can be different depending on your age and circumstances but some things are universal regardless of any variables. One is to be honest with yourself. That's probably the most important one. I'll continue later if this thread takes off. I'm sure some folks might avoid this subject and others may want to give advice. It will be interesting to see how this goes.

It is really amazing how young he looks. He's old enough to be my dad too. I only met Sonny once but it felt like I was talking to someone my age.

Nedra Volz would be the oldest and Sorrell would not be 100. I know this without looking because I regularly schedule social media posts about cast birthdays.

Always great to make memories ain’t it? You and your brother will cherish that time forever. My dad and I went to a few local car shows in our time too, he liked his cars but he really loved art. He was a painter, he did those paint by numbers kits, and managed to do 50 of em. He gave a lot of em away a few years ago, but the handful he kept are now proudly hanging on my walls.

Hi Roger, I was very blessed to have him, and I hope I do him proud. He definitely passed the tradition on to me, and I hope someday I’m blessed enough to do the same, should I be blessed with fatherhood. You’re not too personal, don’t worry. Actually my name is Thomas, but I shorten it to Tom these days. When I signed up here and thought of a username, I figure Tom Duke has a nice ring to it. Never realized about the parallel with Tom Wopat, kinda cool as he’s my favourite of the Duke Boys.

Dad instilled a love of cars in me. He used to take me to cruisin' 50's night in high school and when I was little we went to the Harrah's Auto Museum in Sparks, NV on vacation. That was a treat. Dad had dementia for his last years, but my brother and I managed to get him to the Palos Verdes Concours d'Elegance and the Petersen Automotive Museum a few years ago. We had a blast, made some great memories, and took lots of photos.

Then after that, how many episodes show Bo & Luke blowing something up with high flying dynamite? Then after that, what episode shows the boys drop dynamite from the General while flying over their target? No cheating now. Only one question answered per all 7 seasons! Wink. Wink.
