Hey y'all, welcome our Fan Art forum! As per usual with most of HNet, there's no hard and fast rules here. Just a couple of things to keep in mind and most of this is off the top of my head and is subject to change. Because we can do that. 1. Please keep it clean. I'm started down the road of a project I've had in the back of my head for some time. My goal had been to recreate one of the iconic buildings of Hazzard to serve as a showcase for the 1/25 scale MPC DOH car kits. I quickly gravitated to Cooter's garage- for me, it has the most character and recognizability. Following in the footsteps of HossC, I've been rearching the building inside and out. Unlike some of the facade buildings on the Warner backlot, this one actually has a practical interior- when you see scenes inside the garage, they really are inside the garage building just off Hazzard Square. I've recreated a couple of signs from around Hazzard, and will post them as they get finished. Most of the signs on the show were hand-painted, so I'm just getting as close as I can with existing fonts. I've posted the Boars Nest sign in another thread, but I've now added the signs from the walls as well. For those of you wondering about the 'GOOD EATS' sign, it was only on the original Georgia Boars Nest, and did not make the move to California. Below are pictures of both to confirm this.

Didn't know whether to post this here or in Hobbies - I'm sure the forum mods can move it if they wish. Since getting CorelDraw I've been playing around with vector-based artwork, and thought I'd have a crack at General Lee. It's still work-in-progress as I keep thinking of details to add/change. Basically it's a mixture of styles - crossed flags from Geogia episodes, wider nudge bar, red Georgia plates, headrests from Lee 1, white letter tyres etc., but being vector-based they're all easily changable. Alex-Dukes gave me a great idea, thanks his (her? ) great photo montages. So I started to play with pictures, changing them in a ... personally... way. Here's Hazzard (I mean... Enos/Daisy) in a new perspective: a mix of japan anime, comics... and Hazzard. OK, I'm totally fool, I know... But I like it... I like it Enos/Daisy wedding!!!! High school? And here... well... it's their business....

I thought it was about time that 'the law' was represented in 'Fan Art'. Here's my version of Rosco's patrol car. I've gone for the most commonly used model, a '77/'78 Plymouth Fury. Once they had settled on this model, there are only very small differences between them eg. mirrors, lightbar and fixings, side strip etc. Now that I have the basic shape, I intend to do one or two of the patrol cars from surrounding counties.

Regular visitors may have noticed that I haven't posted much artwork here lately. Hopefully this should explain why. The artwork below started out as a re-creation of the Hazzard Theater sign for the Signs of Hazzard thread, but grew into a monster project encompassing a whole block of Hazzard Square. After completing the theater sign I added some background and got carried away. I've tried to be as accurate as possible, with some details only clearly visble in a single episode. This is the beginning of a larger project- basically a model of a model. This is to figure out if this scale is good for the eventual project to see if its big enough, etc., but its fun to see Hazzard Square in 3 dimensions even in this monotone form! To answer the inevitable question, its made from printed designes mounted to foam core and assembled with hot glue. (cat inserted for scale)

I took MaryAnne's suggestion as a challenge. Due to the fact that only 250 of these were made, reference photos were, as predicted, hard to find. The conversions were done by National Coach Engineering of Michigan - you can see some of the survivors here: http://www.firebirdgallery.com/national_coachlot1.htm I had to guess the interior a little, and I gave it a manual gearbox as I couldn't remember what the real car had. I've also omitted the gaffer tape that covered the Trans Am logo on the trunk - if you've never noticed it, there's a picture of it in The Official Dukes of Hazzard Trivia Thread.

There's been an important vehicle missing from this thread, and it's got to have been the hardest Fan Art project so far. I'd always intended to do one of Cooter's tow trucks, but had been putting it off because I knew the wrecker assembly would be complicated. I picked the GMC truck for a couple of reasons; it didn't have the separate towing dolly, and I've already done a Ford F-Series (Uncle Jesse's truck), so I fancied something different. I originally started out back in August. Unfortunately, after a fair bit of work, my computer decided it didn't want to re-open the file or the backup. I started again, and the same thing happened. I've given all the best known vehicles their own threads, so I thought I'd start one for some of the miscellaneous vehicles. I can't promise they'll all be multiple views because they take ages. I'll kick it off with Petey Willis's 1968 Chevy Chevelle Malibu from 'Welcome Back, Bo 'n' Luke'. The hood comes complete with a Corvette L88 scoop. The sponsor stickers all seem to be for fictional companies, and reappear on race cars in other episodes. I've noticed that in many episodes there were two or more similar vehicles playing the part of one. There are two distinct "ice cream" trucks in 'Swamp Molly' and in this episode there were at least two Chevelle…

This one seems to have taken ages. It's my own fault for starting 2 projects at once . It proved very hard getting good reference photos for this one because hardly any Jeep owners seem to keep their vehicles standard. I've tried to make it a stock CJ-7. Dixie kept changing, and trim such as wipers and mirrors disappear and reappear between shots. I've gone for a manual transmission version. I based the 'DIXIE' hood graphics on the Jeep at Cooter's because the photos I found online were much higher resolution than any screengrabs I could get - they are slightly different from the series (I think the Jeep at Cooter's is a CJ-5, not a CJ-7 - any Jeep experts can correct me …

This is the other project I started around the same time as Daisy's Jeep. It's Swamp Molly's 1946 Chevrolet 1/2 ton pickup. The same truck also appeared (slightly more distressed) a few episodes later in 'Deputy Dukes'. I could continue adding rust and primer well into the new year, but I've decided to call it finished . I still love muscle cars, but I've started to really like these curvy pickups from the '40s and '50s. I'm thinking of doing a restored version of this one, so watch this space .

As a side-bar to my 1/25 Cooter's garage model, I put together this little display for the 1/64 DOH diecast cars. Its all a cardstock model with the exception of the landscaping. Still a work in progress- I'll continue to add some details and tweak things. -Mark

Just finished my version of Daisy's 1971 Road Runner. Technically her car was originally a 1974 Road Runner, and the later car (as depicted here) was actually a Satellite painted with the '74's Road Runner stripes. Like with the General Lee artwork, I've taken a bit of artistic license here. I've added Road Runner decals to the grille, trunk and stripes, and since I haven't found a clear screen grab of the actual wheels, I've fitted it with period Mopar wheels that it could have left the factory with. The white letter Goodyear Polyglas GT tires are also my addition.

Hello! I figured since I might be drawing fanart more often that it would be a better idea to have one thread/topic than to post it all on it's own every time, and I have a really good piece to start it with. It's a drawing I did of Bo with a horse. The song "My Rifle, My Pony and Me" kept coming up on Spotify and I got really inspired for some reason, so I drew the song. (except the rifle, I didn't want to render that much metal AND wood) My friend is a horse girl and she said that Bo would have a Chestnut Quarter Horse Mare named Miss Joanne. I'm breaking two rules here: one of HazzardNet's and one of my own! I'd promised myself that I would try not to create any more threads in 'Fan Art' (I figured I was being greedy), but here I go with a new one. Not only that, but the artwork isn't even related to the Dukes of Hazzard (I hope the mods will be gentle with me ). Here we go again! After Cooter's Garage, the next natural place to stop in Hazzard is the Boar's Nest. 01 Keychain.

Well I was just editting some DoH pics and a question poped into my head,"What way to other people like to edit pictures?" I like to use picnik. I also like to use some of the apps on muzy.com. Mainly the photo brush which is where they turn a photo black and white and then you can turn any part of the picture you want into color. Thats what I'm doing right now and I have some fun seeing what DoH picks I can work with. So, what do you guys use to edit pictures?

This is Boss Hogg's Triple White 1970 Cadillac DeVille Convertible. I was tempted to cheat and do it with the roof up like it was in 'Daisy's Song', which would have saved me having to do the interior , but this is how we remember it. Aside from the horns on the hood changing slightly during the show's run, it stayed pretty much the same. One notable exception to this is the door mirrors which are usually the stock, rectangular Cadillac ones in long shots (and as I've used here), but change to circlular, non-Cadillac ones in close-up studio shots. After watching 'Reunion', I couldn't resist having a go at the infamous '00'. I've not taken as much artistic license with this one, the chrome around the wheel arches and white letter tires are my only additions. The flames on the front fenders are copied directly, but I couldn't find a clear shot of the flames on the hood, so I had to improvise a bit - all of the replicas I've seen seem to differ in this area (my 1:18 model was no use at all). The license plate was too blurry to make out, so I left it blank - if anyone knows the correct license plate, please let me know so I can add it in. Now I have the basic shape of the '68 Mustang, I might have a go at Lucifer .
