Some people might have noticed that I don't always post in the birthday topics of Dukes of Hazzard actors, I want to explain here why. So I was on the H-net homepage today waiting for my uber-slow internet to load the nav bar to get to the forums, and I got distracted and left the computer. When I got back, all the posts on the home page were up, including the April Fools Day joke about how H-net was sold. And I believed it. On Early Friday Morning we left the house about 6am, and we began our little road trip to Cave City, Kentucky we had fun. About 4pm Kentucky time we arrived at the Knights Inn there and there was a Chevron, Bp and a Marathon and lots of other places of lodging as well and many other gas stations. On Next Monday Morning I am leaving with my family and we are going on a Road Trip to Richmond,Virginia and we will be gone until thurday or Friday as well. I just felt an earthquake and heard things in the house rattle. I looked at the clock and it was 10:43 (EST). I was pretty sure that's what it was and then the local news confirmed it 17 minutes later. No real damage here. It was centered in Madison Ohio.

One of my other hobbies Is model railways, but since a few months I'm adding to that model cars. These cars are the same scale as my trains and will drive on the same 'table' landscape as my trains. For this I need cars to transform to drivable, obviously... These are made using regular 1/87 H0 cars. My landscape is based on the Netherlands from in between 1995 and now, so most cars will be European. But I really want a 1969 or 1968 Dodge Charger for it. I have a feeling my 'European' Google has only been looking in Europe as all its results were in Europe. But none were even in the scale 1/87 or a model car. Ok I doubt very much that this would be found in Hazzard County Georgia, but right now, as I write we here in Michigan are in the 15th hour of a snowstorm, averaging about an inch an hour of snowfall. Today at 1:51 pm Est, a 5.8 earthquake rattled the Eastern US. States as far away as Ohio felt the tremors. No deaths were reported, but there were some injuries and damage. I just spent the night in the hospital. I haven't done that since the day I was born. I damaged a tendon in my left foot 6 months ago and got it fixed yesterday. The complete recovery might be 6 months too. That's how it goes when you age. One simple twist of the ankle can mean a year to get better.

You're half right. Lalo Schifrin composed the theme music for season 1 of Starsky and Hutch. The more familiar 'Gotcha' theme used for season 2 was written by Tom Scott. A reworked version was also used on season 4. The video below is a cool cover by British jazz funk group the James Taylor Quartet. The season 3 theme was written by Mark Snow. All three of these composers also scored several episode, as did Alan Silvestri who wrote a lot of the music for 'CHiPs' (and many movies including 'Back to the Future').

Howdy Y'all...There is a news story right now saying that tomorrow may be the end of the world.
