  1. My thoughts and prayers go out to the families of those affected by tornadoes in the south. Many have homes, properties, and even, sadly, many have lost relatives. Hopefully, things get better for them soon.

I was watching TV 24 (ABC) local news tonight out of Erie Pennsylvania and saw a terribly tragic story. There was a fire near Erie PA and two men were unable to escape and were killed. Of course I wouldn't be reporting this tragedy here if there wasn't a Dukes connection. The camera was filming scenes of the remains of the home and one of the clips showed a room that had several shelves with toy and model cars. Some of the cars were melted and damaged but a few weren't. The car in the middle of the group was a General Lee. My heart goes out to the families of the victims.

I need to have someone help me put a good moonshine avatar picture on my profile and by the way, is my last name supposed to be Hawkins or Harkins? Remember now, I'm buzzing, plus I am almost completely computer illiterate. Thank you ahead of time.

Len Lesser, known as "Uncle Leo" on Seinfeld, died today at the age of 88. I always thought he was hilarious in Seinfeld. Uncle Leo was one of my favorite characters! RIP Uncle Leo!

Ron Santo died yesterday at the age of seventy due to bladder cancer. Ron played his entire professional baseball career with the Chicago Cubs and was the radio announcer for the Cubs games after that. Of all that I had heard of him, he was a great baseball player and seemed to be a great guy all together. He will be deeply missed in Chicago and all of the Cubs fans. (This is just not a good year to be a Cubs fan. Don't know if there are any other Cubs fans on the board, but not only did they have a horrible season, in my opinion, they also traded some very valuable Cubs players during the Cubs season (especially Derek Lee...never underst and why they traded him for...). …

This weekend is Canadian Thanksgiving! Up here in Canada, we like to have it early before the snow gets too deep So this weekend, families across the country are getting together to eat turkey and pie and have good times together! My family, that includes deep frying a turkey, going hunting with my brother, some crazy quadding with my cousins and a good game of redneck-paintball. (ripping around a field on quads, shooting each other with paintball guns. Fun times! ) Also, my cousins made this huge dirtbike jump that I'm itching to try before I gotta go back to school! (I smell a Dukes of Hazzard like video montage!) So have a happy Thanksgiving!!!

I know I've been gone along while. I tried not to slip away but once school started that kinda went down the drain. Anyway, I'm getting my Dukes vibe back, if that makes sense! Not that I ever lost it. I just caught caught up! Anyway I'm back and hopefully can stay that way this time and not let school and other things overwhelm me too much.

Hey everybody... I know I haven't been on here for a while, but there's lots of reason! haha As many of you know, I love the farm more than anything. I live on our family farm that has been in the family for 100 years. My great-granddad was the first settler in this area, buying a 10 acre plot of land on the river bank. We still own the original homestead and have expanded the operation to over 3000 acres and 350 head of cattle. We had a big scare this spring and wound up almost losing the whole spread. My dad went from driving truck part time to full time, and my mom had to go back to work. I ended up juggling going to school and putting the crop in myself this year. O…

I've promised my self that I'm going to try to get on here and stay on here just as much as I did before. I still love this site, and I definatley still love the Dukes..There's no doubt there from anyone I'm sure. Again, I haven't meant to be absent, but like I said, things have gotten really crazy, but hey, thats life right? I hope that all my friends here haven't been too worried about me. I really hate when people worry about me! LOVE FROM THE ONE AND ONLY DAISYDUKEXENOSSTRAIT!

  18. So I was on the H-net homepage today waiting for my uber-slow internet to load the nav bar to get to the forums, and I got distracted and left the computer. When I got back, all the posts on the home page were up, including the April Fools Day joke about how H-net was sold. And I believed it. I thought that the part about Brian working at MAD was kinda far-fetched, but I still believed it. lol. I'm such an idiot! haha

Ok. So I'm still stuck in 1998 and have dial-up internet! WOO-HOO! NOT!!! Don't y'all just hate it when your in the middle of downloading something very important off of the internet or uploading the latest chapter in your Dukes Fan Fic and then suddenly, *dramatic music* your internet cuts out!! Making you want to scream, cry and possibly throw your computer out of the nearest window. Also something that makes the super slow speed internet even more lovable is when it cuts out on you when your on MSN or on Chat, in the middle of a very intense conversation about your latest failed FanFic upload, caused by your crappy dial-up internet! Such a pain in the you-know-what! …

I don't know if this would be the proper place to put this thread or not, so I apologize if it is in the wrong section. I just created a new public group called Hazzard County's NASCAR Group and as the title implies it is about NASCAR. It is a place to talk anything NASCAR from your favorite driver, your favorite race or track, to the upcoming chase, and about past races as well as the upcoming race. It is open to who ever wants to join and to talk about NASCAR . Here is the link to the group. http://www.hazzardnet.com/forums/group.php?groupid=22&gmid=464#gmessage464 Thank-you.
