I see in the paper today that Earle Hagen died. He was a musical legend in television in Hollywood. The list of big-time TV shows Earle and Dean Hagen were involved with is longer than the road from Hollywood to Georgia. You can see his name run on the credits of every episode of Dukes. (or at least I think every episode...maybe someone can confirm that) Thanks for contribution to the greatest show in history, Mr. Hagen!!

James Best, who is best known for playing Rosco P. Coltrane on TV's "The Dukes of Hazzard," will receive the Harvey Award from The Jimmy Stewart Museum. Best, 80, is scheduled to receive the award Oct. 20 at an event hosted by Nick and Nina Clooney. Because Best is also an artist, the museum is hoping to organize a show of his works, said museum executive director Tim Harley. Best starred with Stewart, a native of Indiana, in the films, "Winchester '73," "Shenandoah," "The Mountain Road" and "Firecreek." He also appeared in several other films, including "Seven Angry Men," "The Last of the Badmen," "Cast a Long Shadow" and "Gator." His TV appearances include roles in "…

If you haven't already checked out the HNet homepage, please do so, and take a moment to contact the Cincinnati Pops regarding their mistreatment of Tom Wopat and John Schneider. Please encourage the Cincinnati Pops to make amends, and reinstate the canceled performance ASAP, and restore the good standing of these two fine performers. You can email the Cincinnati Pops at: publicrelations@cincinnatisymphony.org Phone # 1-513-621-1919 The Cincinnati Pops, in trying to respect a short-sighted bias of one group, sullied the image of Tom and John. The Dukes of Hazzard isn't racist, and Tom and John certainly are not racist. But the Cincinnati Pops accepted the snap judgmen…

From Yahoo! News - Tue, 20 Feb 2007 07:48:29 GMT Most GW graduates earning a degree in political science are more likely to aspire to take center stage at a debate than to take on the silver screen, yet 1999 alum Shane Morris has transferred his passion for politics into a big-screen career. Today is a very sad day in the horse world folks. As many of you probably saw on the news today, a young race horse named Barbaro was mercifully put down by choice of his owners after either long months of fighting to survive a terribly shattered leg. Many horses before him like the great Man O' War and the sweet Secretariat became American Heroes in a time of war and depression. Barbaro turned out to be like them, in this time of war and in such a negative world, this big horse brought us a story that we could …
