Dukes of Hazzard News

The latest Dukes of Hazzard news including news about the Dukes cast, current airings, personal appearances, and more.

  1. Just a reminder, ol' "Bo Duke" himself will be at the Rod & Custom car show in Monticellow, Iowa this coming weekend, Feb 25 & 26! Monticello is maybe a half-hour or so out of Dubuque. You can see the shindig details here. We also did a write-up for it on our home page. Personally, I think it's cool that John and Tom are both doing a car show this year. I know Ben has one coming up in March, and Jimmie and Sonny have one in March as well. We'll be promoting those very soon, and I thank everybody who's been posting about them on the Forums. That's not even counting Hazzard Homecoming and the fall appearances that are lining up. As always, we'll do our best to …

  2. Anybody going to see Ben Jones at the International Auto Showcase at the New York State Fairgrounds this weekend? If so, we'd greatly appreciate any photos you can share! Just a reminder, there are a slew of cast appearances coming up and many of these were listed in our March 2012 Newsletter. We will also do our best to post reminders on our Facebook page a good week or two before any event, and we try to keep the Forums updated here as well, but obviously in Ben's case I forgot to cross-post it on the Forums until the last minute.

  6. Started by RogerDuke,

I seen something in the newspaper about Waylon's family releasing some of his never before heard music sometime soon. Since my computer skills are bad, maybe somebody here can find it and post a link with more information. It sure would be cool to buy Waylon's new album. It's been a long time since I've done that! Waylon lives!

  7. Started by Hot Rod,

Hi fellow Dukes Fans, I just found out that Tom Wopat will be visiting the Canton Hot Rod Show Feb 18th & 19th, 2012 at the Canton Memorial Civic Center, Down Town Canton Ohio. They are supposed to announce it soon on cantonhotrodshow.com website. This is a rare treat for Dukes Fans! Anyone with a General Lee planning on showing off their Ride?

  8. Howdy Y'all....I was recently told by a friend that Ben Jones would be attending a fair around me....I didn't believe her at first, cause I thought boondocky place...but then Luke attended this fair too....So I got on their facebook page, because they ain't known for keepin their website up to date, and whatta you know....He is actually gonna be there!! Thursday August 2, 2012 at the Garrett County Agricultural Fair in Garrett County Maryland.... 9. Just want to share some upbeat stuff here. First of all, with all the Dukes stuff going on, it's hard to believe this is 2012 and not 1982! We got Tom Wopat and John Schneider making car show appearances, we got a pro golfer driving the General Lee to the Phoenix Open, we got country music star Dierks Bently telling a newspaper how he watched "The Dukes of Hazzard," and we got major retailers carrying new Dukes of Hazzard t-shirts. Plus the Dukes are still on CMT, the late hour nonwithstandin', and Hazzard Homecoming is just about six months away. If all this is news to you, lemme break it down a bit for ya! Tom Wopat will be at the Canton Hot Rod Show on Feb 18 &am…

Byron will be a celebrity guest at the 9th Annual Car, Truck/Cycle Show Art & Music Festival in Marilla, NY July 28-29 2012. For more info visit Byron's Official website!

  14. Our homepage has been updated with all the latest Dukes news! As of today's date anyhow. Take a look!

  15. Edmund's InsideLine has released it's 100 Greatest Movie and TV Cars of All Time list and sitting pretty in the top spot is - you know it - The General Lee! The General beat out every other car you can think of including, for the second time in recent months, the Bandit Trans Am. You can check out the list at InsideLine.com. See if your other favorites made the list! (What? There's others??)

  16. This makes the third time they are being skipped. Now don't get me wrong I hated the time Tom and John were away too, but they made their choice and did what they felt was right. Having said that it is not fair to the folks that worked on those shows to not have their part of Dukes history shown. CMT needs to rectify this now and give this show proper respect by showing all episodes, evem if they are edited in spots. Robbie

  17. Started by dukefan1,

  18. If you have a General Lee, or a Hazzard County patrol car, or Daisy's Jeep, or Cooter's tow truck or Uncle Jesse's pickup, Cooter wants YOU. And your Hazzard car, for the 3rd annual Hazzard Run, October 1st and 2nd. The deal is this: You pay $30 to participate, and you drive your car from Cooter's Place in Nashville TN to Cooter's Place in Gatlinburg TN, in a convoy. In return you get public adoration from spectators, a dash plaque, a t-shirt, and some amusements at Cooter's Place. Rick Hurst and Ben Jones will be attending. Great opportunity to hang out with other car owners and blow your own Dixie horn. Here's a spectator view supplied by one of our members last year:…

  19. I can't believe I'm typing "Glee" in the HazzardNet Forums, but... YES! It's true! John has landed a role on Glee. Here's the tidbit Mufn found on the net: "John Schneider has landed the role of Sam's father and will first appear in this season's eighth episode, which marks Chord Overstreet's return to Glee. Glee airs Tuesdays at 8:00 p.m. eastern on Fox." I don't know what this means, exactly, but there ya go!

  20. The famous Hazzard County Stunt Show, presented by the Northeast Ohio Dukes, will be at the Lake County Fair on August 20th! There are NO cast appearances involved, this is a car stunt show only. But it's a great show, featuring the General Lee and police cars in live, dirt-flying, chase-and-crash action. Here's a link with the where and what: Hazzard County Stunt Show They always pack the place, so get there early for a good seat!

  21. Started by Brian Coltrane,

Get ready to call him the "25 Million Dollar Sheriff." James Best is suing Time-Warner/Warner Bros over unpaid royalties. Best claims he was owed 5% of all Dukes of Hazzard merchandising revenue for stuff that contained Sheriff Rosco likeness. By his estimates/his attorney's estimates, that could have been 5 to 25 million during the Dukes heyday alone. Best has actually collected something around $175,000 for this stuff in the last 30 years. I'm working on an HNet homepage update and will supply more details there, but that's the meat n' potatoes of it!

  25. Good ol' boy John Schneider, otherwise known as "Bo Duke" from The Dukes of Hazzard, will be appearing at the Philadelphia Comic Con June 18th and 19th, 2011. A General Lee will also be on display. This show is crazy big, so if you plan on going, study up on the schedules, event times, parking, venue map, and all that stuff. Here's a link that you can follow to John's page for the event. Click around from there for the show details. http://www.wizardworld.com/johnschneider.html
