I have some news from Tom Sarmento. He has had many people asking him how they can show the Baxley family their expressions of sorrow over the loss of stunt coordinator Paul Baxley. The Baxley family will be having a memorial service later this month for Paul. Tom will be attending. He said that he wants to help the "Dukes" fans so this is what he has come up with. Tom thinks it best if people who want to do something send cards. That way each person can write whatever they personally want to say on the card. Then mail the card to him at his home address. We lost another great figure in Hollywood and country music, Buck Owen passed away at age 76. He was on Hee Haw with Roy Clark. He wrote many famous tunes such as 'Act Naturally'. Many pop singers also sang his music. Buck you will be missed.

James Best, who is best known for playing Rosco P. Coltrane on TV's "The Dukes of Hazzard," will receive the Harvey Award from The Jimmy Stewart Museum. Best, 80, is scheduled to receive the award Oct. 20 at an event hosted by Nick and Nina Clooney. Because Best is also an artist, the museum is hoping to organize a show of his works, said museum executive director Tim Harley. Best starred with Stewart, a native of Indiana, in the films, "Winchester '73," "Shenandoah," "The Mountain Road" and "Firecreek." I know this post is off topic, and all, but I also know many of us here on Hazzardnet like country music. A great man died about 1 am this morning in Nashville of Respretory failure due to complications of Diabetes. Johnny Cash was a wonderful man, but he is with his wife now, June Carter Cash, who died a few months ago due to heart surgery complications. i emailed the web site tvshowsondvd.com to find out when the dukes of hazzard is coming to dvd. the rssponse is that it will come out early 2004 and its the first season on dvd and the results of the sales will determine the release of more seasons of the show.
