Dukes of Hazzard News

Rumor has it that Tom Wopat will be at Hazzard Homecoming for both days, August 11 and 12. Along with this report comes the rumor of a "stunt demonstration", but we don't know if this involves cars or bikes or what at this point. There are more Dukes shindigs going on this year than you can shake a dipstick at! We'll keep you posted as more details roll in.

As many of you know, Ben 'Cooter' Jones owns and operates 3 Dukes of Hazzard attractions in Tennessee and Virginia. The Virginia location, which was located in Sperryville, has recently moved location a few miles away to neighboring Luray, Virgina. The new Luray location is the biggest venue he has ever had- when it is finished it will have a retail store, Daisy's Diner, Dukes of Hazzard memorabilia museum, and will house replicas of the General Lee, Boss Hogg's Caddy, Roscoe's Patrol Car, Cooter's tow truck, and others. I can't believe I'm typing "Glee" in the HazzardNet Forums, but... YES! It's true! John has landed a role on Glee. Here's the tidbit Mufn found on the net: "John Schneider has landed the role of Sam's father and will first appear in this season's eighth episode, which marks Chord Overstreet's return to Glee. Glee airs Tuesdays at 8:00 p.m. eastern on Fox." I don't know what this means, exactly, but there ya go!

JS will be in Brisbane 21st, 22nd and 23rd of April 2006 for the Australian Comic Book Convention. I am going, with or without my General Lee which we've just built and they've given us permission to take up to him, cause it's only an hour away! COME ON FOLKS! Just a reminder, ol' "Bo Duke" himself will be at the Rod & Custom car show in Monticellow, Iowa this coming weekend, Feb 25 & 26! Monticello is maybe a half-hour or so out of Dubuque.
