Hazzard County Christmas

We are going to have a Christmas Party, even if it is just on this thread writing posts like it is a group text. Two questions: Hoss, what is the latest (in eastern standard time) that you could participate? To the rest of you: What days would you not be available in the early evening? I was thinking Friday Dec 16 might be nice since Dukes used to be on Fridays.

Merry Christmas. You folks are like my second family. I mean that. I love every one of my fellow Hazzardites and I'd like to wish everybody the Merriest Christmas ever. The next 3 questions are about "The Great Santa Claus Chase" The scene at the end (Christmas at the Duke Farm) is my all time favorite single scene that's ever been aired on television in my entire life. I'm going to be in the Chat Room (Flash Chat-Boar's Nest) starting at 11:30 pm EST if anybody wants to join me on New Year's Eve. My wife has to get up at 5 and I'll be awake alone so if anybody isn't partying with family and friends come join lonely Roger Duke. Ever wonder why evergreens are used in traditional Christmas decorating? Well it has to do with the Greeks and Romans. They threw a party every year around the winter Solicist time to try to bring back spring and make the 'gods and goddesses' happy again. You can't have Christmas without cookies! My family comes from a line of bakers, so we bake starting weekend after Thanksgiving and by Christmas we have dozen of dozens of cookies in the house. Last year we had frozen cookies that lasted until March. Pendragon

YEEEEEEEHAAAAAAAAAAAAW! I was shopping in my friendly neighborhood Kmart Super Center and what did I see but a banjo pickin' Christmas CD! So with delight, I snatched it off the counter and took it to the checkout to purchase it right. So now as I sit typing away, I listen to christmas tunes of banjos so gay! It fills my soul with Christmas cheer to have Christmas tunes played by banjos in my ears. Banjos, here banjos there, banjo, banjo... Banjos in mah head! Christmas Banjos in mah head! Yeehaw!

What do you usually give out for Chrsitmas? For Christmas I give out; Ten cans of Skoal and some Red man in my dad and grandpa's stockings, and twenty scratchers to everyone else in their stockings. They all love it especially when they win Money, so I just give them the same things every, and if I'm not there I just sent it to them, they always know what they're getting.

Okay, who's excited? I start getting excited about the most wonderful time of the year way earlier than most folks. I love Halloween but on November First I start singing Christmas songs in my head.....and I never complain about all those early Christmas commercials.

Just saw the Brian Setzer Orchestra Christmas Extravaganza last Saturday night here on Long Island. What an awesome show. Brian Setzer doing his big band/swing renditions of Christmas classics and some good ol' rock ( Stray Cats ) thrown in. The atmosphere and the people made this special. Seeing the big band play along with the bandleader ( Brian Setzer on his famous Gretsch guitar) was one of the best concerts I saw. The best part was the Nutcracker Suite with all the horns and guitar. The stage was decorated with X-mas stuff adn the band was in holiday clothes, especially the female back up singers in little red Ms. Claus costumes. I pointed them out to my wife a fe…
