Hazzard County Christmas

We all have our favorite Christmas Carols. Do you ever find yourself "duke-ifying" them by changing the lyrics? If so, post your masterpieces here!

Roger Duke suggested we have a little online get together to celebrate Christmas. I'm setting up a poll so folks can vote for which day is most convenient to them. The time will probably be 8pm eastern so most folks will be able to attend. The poll is multiple choice so you can vote for more than one day.

Another Christmas.....another Christmas thread. I've been watching Cristmas cartoons. And yes, sitting with Mrs. Duke watching Hallmark Christmas movies. (she's not really big on the cartoons). What are you folks doing to celebrate the most wonderful time of the year?

We have Christmas threads for a lot of Christmases so I was a bit bothered that 2023 would go by without one in this section with the others . So, here I am singing Christmas carols all by myself. Can anybody hear me? Edit: I just noticed the other current Christmas thread is in the HazzardNet Family section.

We are going to have a Christmas Party, even if it is just on this thread writing posts like it is a group text. Two questions: Hoss, what is the latest (in eastern standard time) that you could participate? To the rest of you: What days would you not be available in the early evening? I was thinking Friday Dec 16 might be nice since Dukes used to be on Fridays.

Merry Christmas everybody. I'm getting in the mood. I watched Willow Creek last night and The Great Santa Claus Chase this afternoon. Anybody asking Santa for anything in particular this year?

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas. Ya'll ready? It looks like another green Christmas for us.

Ten more days.....It truly is the most wonderful time of the year! I've been listening to a lot of Christmas music lately. Elvis has entered the building.

The Lifetime channel has been running John Schneider's "Poinsettias For Christmas" lately if anybody is interested. I'm recording it later today.

These are always tough to plan so we should start early. We're going to get together for a Christmas Party. We don't know if it will be in a chat room or simply posts on this thread. It will probably have to be on a weekend. Might I suggest (it's only a suggestion for now) 3:00 Eastern Standard Time. Before we start suggesting days please post here what days you would NOT be able to make it. I CAN'T make Saturday December 14. We also could consider a weeknight if the folks across the pond have a night they could stay up late.

Okay, who's excited? I start getting excited about the most wonderful time of the year way earlier than most folks. I love Halloween but on November First I start singing Christmas songs in my head.....and I never complain about all those early Christmas commercials.

Who all has pre-ordered or will order Tom and John's Christmas album. I pre-ordered my copy from Cooter's Place just a couple hours ago. I'm so excited for it.

Sorry about not having any festivities this year. I've been sick and very busy at work. Because I'm a contractor, I really don't have any sick leave available, so I've had to work through my illnesses (3 colds this year and a sinus infection), so they've been lingering. I am taking a few days off around Christmas, though, to recuperate. I want to wish a very Merry Christmas to all of you on HazzardNet. I hope 2014 is prosperous, happy, and healthy for all of you.

Does anybody else here get the post Christmas blues? I know I do. I just have a hard time accepting it when it's all over. I pretty much go the whole month of January missing Christmas.

A very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to all Dukes of Hazzard fans from all of us at HazzardNet. This is the official Merry Christmas 2012 thread. Post your Christmas greetings to all your Dukes friends here!

It's time to be thinking about an evening for the 2012 Christmas party. Before we suggest dates is there any evening that you can't make it? I can't make it the 17th, 18th and 19th. That's a Mon, Tue and Wed. (For those of you who are new, our parties are in HazzardNet's chat room.....and don't say you weren't warned. They can get a little rough)

I'm going to be in the Chat Room (Flash Chat-Boar's Nest) starting at 11:30 pm EST if anybody wants to join me on New Year's Eve. My wife has to get up at 5 and I'll be awake alone so if anybody isn't partying with family and friends come join lonely Roger Duke. If I'm feeling up to it I might stay around to party with others who are celebrating in a later time zone if they're around.

I'm starting this thread for everybody to send their Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays wishes to all their fellow Dukes of Hazzard fans. Happiness and peace to you all!

We've updated the homepage with a tribute video to our troops. Check it out! http://www.hazzardnet.com/blog/2011/12/23/a-christmas-tribute-to-our-troops/

The annual Hazzard County Christmas party is the social event of the year and it will be here before we know it. We just don't know when it will be. So, as usual we're looking for a little input as to when the big disaster...uh, I mean celebration...will be. So, if you want to attend the brawl...uh, I mean ball....let us know what you think of Saturday December 17th for a date. We'd be starting at 6:00 EST but will likely be fighting....uh, I mean partying...for several hours. If that date is going to be too much of a problem we're considering having it on Tuesday December 20th at the same time. If things get really confusing we might even have two catastrophies...uh, …

Dear Nasty the Reindeer, Please leave a lump of coal in everyone's stocking. Especially Roger's. Thank you!

The Dukes Animated Series -available exclusively through WB's online store.

What's on your Christmas list for Dukes of Hazzard stuff this year? I'm thinkin' optimistic, with the show back on CMT, that we're gonna see new stuff from Johnny LIghtning / ERTL, and some more model kits. I mean, you can't have too many General Lee toys, can you? Of course not. Since ya nevah know when Santa is listening, I'll list the thing I'm after. A couple years ago there was a new Dukes slot racing set and I missed out on it. I gotta find one of those. I also never got the Dukes video games - can you even believe it? I don't have a PS2 or whatever, but it's killin 'me that I don't have those games. And if we know what people are looking for, we …

Ever wonder why evergreens are used in traditional Christmas decorating? Well it has to do with the Greeks and Romans. They threw a party every year around the winter Solicist time to try to bring back spring and make the 'gods and goddesses' happy again. It worked every year because of course, after winter comes spring. Greeks and Romans didn't know about the earth's rotation and changing of the seasons. So anyhow... why talk about this? Well, it's Christmas, and apart of the season of Christmas is to reflect on the year, think about your family and friends, give thanks for all of those you hold dear in your life, and celebrate the coming of Jesus the Christ child and ho…
