On Saturday March 18, 2006 two things happened to me that was very special to me. 1. Number one I got my picture taken in the General Lee and I learned how to play the dixie horn. And there was a guy at he Cleveland Autorana with a Chevelle souped up and everytime he revved up his the guy that owned the General Lee hit the dixie horn. I had on a dukes t-shirt with 01 on the front of it and a hat it 01 on the front of it. 2. I had finally got me a 2006 Dodge Charger of my own ( a 1/24th or 1/25th scale diecast that is) it's in blue and it cost me 12 dollars.

Today I was reading an article on corn prices in my local newspaper. According to the article it states that the demand for Ethanol would make corn prices raise. This is due to the fact that the current ethanol program has had a 3 million acreage decrease! The government doesn't plan to extend new contracts out to make up for that missing acreage. They are using the money they have to take care of the existing contracts that they have. This move concerns many of the wildlife organizations, livestock associations and several other organizations and businesses that have high demands for corn and are tied to agriculture. Wildlife organizations feel that using the dropped ac…

Hello to all you fine people out there. There doesn't appear to be a 'New Members' forum, so I've posted here I've only recently found this site & decided to join. I reside in the northern section of England in the fair county of Yorkshire. In response to what may be one of the first questions anyone asks; Yes there's a few 'General' replicas over here, but only 1 original studio car that I know of & that's in a museum My main automotive delight over here is Land Rovers, being on my 4th. However, I'm off to drive a TVR Griffith 500 for my 40th birthday very soon (its performance makes a Viper look sissy ) Yes, I'd love a 69 Charger. (who wouldn't??), but with our…

Okay, so I'm bored. Just for fun, I'm proposing a little game. Let's say it's a guessing game. Let's see if we can guess facts about each other if clues are provided. Here's how it would work: One states what it is they want people to try to guess about themself (this can be anything, such as your age, your job, birth city, etc.). They then provide a few clues and other people use those clues to try and guess. Anyone can participate. You may participate in a number of ways: 1. You can just provide clues to get others to guess something about you but not try to guess about other participants. 2. You may just try to guess the answer to other participants clues but not post…

Ok, I usually post something funny, thoughtful, or quirky for Earth Day. I know I was behind this year. Sorry I fell asleep at my desk. Blame it all on Enos for making me read those Japanese comic books he found! Anyhow, yes... Earth Day! I hope everyone had a happy Earth Day! Hope you all recycled, but remember there is more that people can do besides just recycling. Visit and donate to your local parks are one good deed. If you live in an area that has ditches, gather up a community group to clean the trash from the ditches. You can buy products that have less packaging. When buying cleaning products, look for environmentally safe labels. Give to Goodwill instead of th…

I was going to follow up my crosswords with some Dukes related anagrams, but the best I got for 'Dukes of Hazzard' was 'Soaked hard fuzz'. Then I started entering HazzardNet members' names into the online anagram finder. Here's some to start you off - are you in there?. If you're not there, sorry, some names don't lend themselves (mine included), and others may have been overlooked in this first set. Obviously any numbers and punctuation in names have been ignored. Please post replies with any you manage to solve. So we've been sitting in the house for two days straight. On Wednesday my husband worked and I drove around grabbing supplies like canned goods, water, dog food, and extra gas. ON thursday it hit and we've been stuck inside since. Have you people any idea just how bored I am. I've already been outside just to look around and see what's been going on. The swamp back behind grandma mc kendree is almost up to her door. I"m thinking I'm going to be taking lots of pictures, especially since the folks up the street lost a pecan tree. Sad too, that tree always put out alot of nuts.
