  2. Occasionally, I find myself changing the lyrics of songs to something more Hazzard-like. I thought I'd start a thread for folks to post their own creations. If you have a Christmas song, post it in the Christmas Lyrics thread. And I'll start off with my Duke-ified rendition of Jose Cuervo, entitled Rosco P. Coltrane... and if you don't know the tune, you can listen to it here. Well, it's Friday night And the sun is settin' And my eyes are glued To the tv and I'm sittin' On the floor with my family I can't stop grinnin' I watched Dukes of Hazzard tonight! Rosco P. Coltrane You are a friend of mine I like to watch you On the tv all the time Did you catch them Duke Boys? …

Anyone know what the song's called that's being played at the end of every show, you know, when Rosco is chasing the Gneral in circles?

  4. I may or may not have posted a previous topic about this band. Some friends of mine since 93/94 time period. They are in a band called PUMPJACK (reference to oil related equipment as most of yall prolly know). They have songs that any Dukes of Hazzard fan could dig and groove on. I would highly advise anyone, and everyone please do take a moment and give them a listen. It is a mix of southern-rock with a dash of metal. They do have some acoustic tunes though... they have lyrics that anyone here could prolly get into if they gave it a chance. And again it just so happens that they are all Dukes of Hazzard fans.... me and my friend Kyle (aka Thurber) both have shared some D…

Merry Christmas, Everyone! I came across this song on youtube, and figured it would definitely be something that would get the Boar's Nest rocking!! (The artist is apparently Keith Harling, btw.) (You'll need to get rid of the spaces around the www . I didn't want to annoy Mary-Anne by posting a link w/ out permission! Lol!) Have a Happy and Safe one, all!

If you want to see a crazy music video go to www.youtube.com and put David Hasselhoff in the search box and look for Jump In My Car. He's not good singer with the song but the video is funny as heck, and he does pretty good with "Secret Agent Man" and some other songs including the Glen Campbell classic "Rhinestone Cowboy" he could honestly if he wanted to sing Country Singers. Some of the new Country Singers aren't good either except for personal favorites of Dierks Bentley, Brad Paisley, Chad Brock, Gretchen Wilson, Toby Keith, Kenny Chesney, Alan Jackson and John Schneider and I can't leave out Reba McEntire for this list right here.

Well the world of Country music lost a great and talented artist...as well as a great legend in George Jones who passed away yesterday at the age of 81. What the world loses, heaven gains. RIP George Jones...you will always be missed. \ (The remark made beneath the video part on Youtube is worth the read...background on Alan Jackson and George Jones on that night. Would write it, but they wrote it better than I could remember it.)I remember watching that award show and being so proud to be a Alan Jackson fan and of AJ for standing up for what he believed in. George Jones was invited to sing his current song at the time "Choices" but was told he could only play part of…

Maybe one of your good folks can help me out, my Dad has been swearing there was a song called or at least with the lyrics "i ain't no cowboy I just found this hat" but I've searched the net and no luck! We took a vacation to Nashville and asked in a couple stores and even THEY couldn't tell him who sang it. My sister's in-laws say they've heard it and it's Chris Ledou (probably spelled wrong) but I can't find it doing a search of his songs either. Has anyone else ever heard it and if so can you help me find the song? Thanks Brandy_lou

  19. Started by RogerDuke,

I just met a guy who just retired from being a sound man in Nashville for 35 years and still lives there. He has worked with just about every star I ever loved including Charlie Daniels, Waylon Jennings and John Schneider. He told me a lot of stories and I'll see him again tomorrow to hear some more. I suppose I shouldn't repeat them though! It sure was cool to hear from someone who has worked with Waylon and Bo!
