Dukes of Hazzard Movies

Hi Gang, This article is about the Razzie awards, for those of you that dont know its the Golden Raspberry Awards handed out for the worst movies of the year. I have just been looking at who the crew are on the Dukes movie and I see that they have used 3 diferent lots of people to write and touch up the script.. I see John Obrian is the same guy the makers of Staskey and Hutch got in to touch up the script for that movie. I just wonder why they needed to get so many diferent people in to write the script and why they did not ask one for the script writers from the tv show to help write the script? Also I wonder how diferent to script writen by Jonathan Davis is the the Brocken Lizard one?

Ok i have read that Scott's Bo seems stupped but there where times the John's Bo was'nt the brights lights in all of Hazzard Also in the movie they seem to be women crazy but they where like that in the show to. Luke love story he what to be with her but yet he did'nt what to stop seeing other women :x and in other show the guys ether where runing after girls or very happy about spending all night out with a girl. From the first ep they uesd bad words. They where alwasy blowing or runing people off the road yet in the movie when they don't people cry about it. Will they keep Waylon's voice as the song or will they have another sing it. If that's the case I hope it's not Jessica Simpson or a cheesy band. I'm for Willie Nelson to sing it. Hell, he's in the movie and a country legend; He might as well!

Mocking and ridiculing beloved tv classics seems to be the "in thing" in Hollywood now. My brother is a die hard Starsky and Hutch fan. I am a die hard Dukes fan. And neither of us are jumping for joy to see our favorite shows made into painful parodies.

I was watching the tv guide channel, yesterday. They had a behind the scene look at the movie, this is the info I got. 1), willie is singing the theme, and skynyrds, call me the breeze 2), him and jessica simpson are doing a duet, for the soundtrack 3), the movie is coming out in august. Since it is on cable, this is basically confirming alot of the rumors.

What if the Hogg Burt Reynolds plays is really a nephew or something with the exact same name as the original JD? The film could open up with a scene where Burt is sitting behind his desk counting cash, with a painting of the first Boss Hogg (may he rest in peace) on the wall in the office. Yeah, the latest Hogg is tall and skinny, but still a Hogg for money. Here's something else not related. I'd kind of like to see Shiriff Cotrane with a promotion or two under his belt. Like give him a couple more men to command, or something like that. A way of showing that even Hazzard county evloves with the times. Anyway, that's my two cents. Can't wait for Daisy and the General.!!

I keep reading in magazines and hearing on various entertainment shows that Jessica Simpson's "Daisy Duke" shorts are way shorter than any of the shorts that Catherine Bach originally wore on The Dukes of Hazzard. Call me crazy, but I don't think so. In all of the photos that I've seen of Simpson on the set, there is no way the shorts that she's wearing are any shorter than those that Catherine Bach used to wear. What do you think? GADuke01

I hope Willie has those awful braided ponytails cut off if he is to play Uncle Jesse!!! Honestly, that is one charactor that shouldnt be fouled up by anyone, especially someone that is not an actor. In my opinion, Jesse was everybodies uncle (eventhough he corrected everyone that called him Uncle Jesse, "I ain't your Uncle Jesse") and the most respected charactor on the show by everyone, all the charactors called him Sir or Mr. Duke. I just hate to see Uncle Jesse get dissed. I don't have a problem with the other cast members, and I know it is being built as a more serious atmosphere, but leave Unlce Jesse, as Uncle Jesse!!! Dan

Say what you will. The movie wouldn't be any big deal if it were something I wasn't raised on. My family was never together. When Dukes came on, be it cookin' dinner or fixin' the house, my parents and sister would drop everything to watch. When TNN dropped it years ago, we stopped that hour of family time. Now that it's back on CMT, things have fallen back into their old groove pretty quick. They're taking a major part of what shaped my childhood and screwing it up. It's like taking someone's favorite candy and changing the recipe. It could be sweeter, it could be more sour or it could just be nasty, but it isn't what they love. Some people have disliked the cast since the day that Stiffler and Jackass where cast as the the Duke Boys. But the truth is the problem isn't the cast at all. The problem lies in the director and how he wanted the the charactors portrayed. Unfortanatly some of the new charactors had little or no resemblence to the originals. I think the cast did their best at playing the charachtors the way the director wanted them. Its no secret that when this movie got the green light some of the biggest names in hollywood wanted to be a part of this movie, so as fans along with people in general, many of us had had high expectatations for a really good cast with BIG names. BIG NAMES…

And want to continue to groan about this or that, I have 2 words for all ya'll .......I think you can actually figure them out if ya'll are smart enough.... I understand about free speech and such and opinions. But I could care less anymore... I am tired of people ripping apart the movie because it wasn't the Dukes they grew up with or they are used to, blah, blah blah... Oh well. It would be crazy not to notice the resemblance that Tom Welling of Smallville bears to a young John Schneider. After seeing the first season on DVD it was uncanny...The kid just needs blonde hair. I'm new in town, so I hate to make any complaints, but does any one agree with me when I say that this message board would be a lot better if the Message Boards were consolidated a little? I mean the Community forum that has the movies/music/hobbies, etc could be made into ONE topic. Y'all know what I'm saying? I mean the thing is that there is so many different topics, that some of them hardly get visited and it's not even worth posting there. Ive noticed a lot of people have posted things unrelated to the new DOH movie in the movie forum(as I am doing) because it gets the most traffic. If they posted it in its assigned forum, nobody would see it. Anyone else agree? …
