i have heard that they me using a new dodge charger for the general instead of the classic 69. it doesnt look bad and has potential, but there hasnt been a release date yet for it the other car could be a dodge stratus coupe (yuck) so what is your opinion - 69 charger, 05 charger or 05 stratus i think the 05 charger would look good, but not as good as the 69

Everybody needs to take the time to read the article from the Wall Street Journal that's posted here. What Warner Bros. is doing to the General Lee is a disgrace and an insult to every fan of The Dukes. Think about it...Who in the heck are they trying NOT to offend? The people who WON'T be going to see the movie ANYWAY??? We, the real fans, will once again be the victim of political correctness...If Warner Bros. does what the article says it will do then I say BOYCOTT....They sit out there in California and call us a bunch of racist hicks, apologize for the Battle Flag on the General Lee, and THEN want our MONEY!! Not sure if this was brough up yet or not....haven't seen it here...but browsing over at IMDB.com and they had some casting information in there I had not seen yet. The main surprise was Lynda Carter of Wonder Woman fame. She is in the movie as Pauline, I believe. A couple of other folks who I had not heard of before...but there is a picture of a blonde girl on the main page who is in the movie. Anyway, didn't know if ya'll knew of Wonder Woman being in the film....

Last night at a friend of mines house, she showed me a website from a auto body and graphic design shop in Phenoix, AZ. I guess it's a pretty well known one because they created the cars for I-Robot, Demolition Man and some other movie I've never heard of. On the site they talked about how they were contracted by Warner Bros. to design a "more contemporary" General Lee for the movie. They actually built three of them and I guess Warner Bros. were actually seriously considering using their version but a few months before they started filming they changed their minds and decided to stick with the real General. I've gotta say that after reading the article about the new movie on MTV's website and seeing the pics from the set, I'm pretty excited about it. I'm glad that they're not trying to make a carbon copy of the T.V. show but they're still trying to capture the spirt of it. I agree with Knoxville when he said that John and Tom would always be the real Bo and Luke. I would've liked to see some pics of Boss and Uncle Jesse but I guess they're keeping them under wraps. The new roscoe does look different and they said he's not gonna have his trademark laugh, which is alright cause nobody can really do it well except Mr. Best (Although Bo Jackson does a pretty good imitation..…

Hey ya'll I was going though some of my Cd's today and came across a Steve Earle Greatest Hits Album. On there is a song called "Copperhead Road" I dont know what you guys think but Id like to see Steve Earle do a modified version for the Dukes of Hazzard soundtrack. Im sure many people have heard this song and I think it may just go well with the new movie. Maybe a new video too on CMT. Any thoughts? Take care ya'll

When CMT starts airing original episodes of "The Dukes of Hazzard" next month, I feel that the same exact thing is going to happen again just like it did when the old TNN aired the Dukes back in 1996. Dukes-mania!!! An entirely new generation was introduced to the Dukes in 1996 and I'm sure that we'll all see the same thing happen once again. Just think of all of the new Dukes-related merchandise that hit in late '90s because of the show's rebirth in popularity. Having the Dukes on the air again prior to the release of the new movie will definately help the new movie when it is released. What do you think? GADuke01

Some is being wrapped up North of Zachary / South of Jackson (chase scene where the cars run through a barn). Most chase scenes are done on Overton-Ford (gravel) Road outside of Clinton. NO filming in Ascension Parish at all. Yes, the Boar's Nest is in Livingston Parish at a local watering hole. Have any of you ever stopped to consider the security issues involved when you have celebrities in an area? Think about the rock n roller who was shot dead by a nut case just two days ago! There are more crazies out there than you can imagine, and all it would take is ONE with a grudge to get onto these sets and kill a star and/or cast/crew members.
