There is very little news here about the filming. apparently very hush hush... But........ There is a building leased to HAZZARD US Productions here in South Central Louisiana. Lots of work happening inside. No closed windows.. Can see it all right now. Local news did article on upcoming historical home tour and said one home was selected to be on the movie the Dukes of Hazzard. So therefore, it wouldn't be available for the tour. They wouldn't even give the location of the home. But , if you are from this area, you would know which house it is. Then rumor has it they are going to be taping north of here. After a call to Cooter's Place, and some research, I will go ahead and confirm to all of you that the Confederate Flag will not, I repeat WILL NOT be on the 68/69 Dodge Charger. Hi just found out about the Dukes of Hazzard movie. Was a big fan when I was a kid. Have enjoyed some of the tv shows they have made into films. Not sure when they finish filming but I have been living for the last few months in Sydney Australia enjying the Australian summer and getting away from the Uk winter and I found out That Willie Nellson will be on tour in Australia in Feb. Maybe he has finish his bit in the film. Anyone know anything about his part as Uncle Jessie.

When CMT starts airing original episodes of "The Dukes of Hazzard" next month, I feel that the same exact thing is going to happen again just like it did when the old TNN aired the Dukes back in 1996. Dukes-mania!!! An entirely new generation was introduced to the Dukes in 1996 and I'm sure that we'll all see the same thing happen once again. Just think of all of the new Dukes-related merchandise that hit in late '90s because of the show's rebirth in popularity. Having the Dukes on the air again prior to the release of the new movie will definately help the new movie when it is released. What do you think? GADuke01

Does anyone know which casting agency is being used for the new dukes movie? I do some movie extra work and it would be a dream come true to be an extra in the new movie.

Everybody needs to take the time to read the article from the Wall Street Journal that's posted here. What Warner Bros. is doing to the General Lee is a disgrace and an insult to every fan of The Dukes. Think about it...Who in the heck are they trying NOT to offend? The people who WON'T be going to see the movie ANYWAY??? We, the real fans, will once again be the victim of political correctness...If Warner Bros. does what the article says it will do then I say BOYCOTT....They sit out there in California and call us a bunch of racist hicks, apologize for the Battle Flag on the General Lee, and THEN want our MONEY!! I wonder where they will get the horn for the new movie? I watched the Dukes as a kid every friday at my babysitters and I now own the first season on dvd. Everytime I count the notes of the horn on the show, I get 12 notes. JCWhitney's Dixie horn plays 11. What gives? I'd like to have a horn like the one on the show. Maybe I just can't count, lol. Hey Ya,ll Just some quick thoughts here. We all know that John Schneider was and still is great at putting the General Lee through his paces. He is actually a professional driver and I was told that he attended the Skip Barber Racing School. Is Sean W. Scott up to the challenge of making the General Lee dance the way he should? Or do you think it will be all left up to stunt drivers. I hope at least this new kid gets the proper training.
