Dukes of Hazzard Movies

When this movie started to film back in November 04. Alot of people on this web site said this film would be crap and that it would be a big flop at the cinema this summer. Now that they have seen the trailer they have said this film will be great. Who can you tell if you have not seen this film.

I just saw the very first Dukes show on Bravo TV in the UK. I have never seen it before. It was kind of different to the shows they did later on in LA. I thought it was not so much of a spoof when it started like the LA shows were. Things in TV shows change a bit from when they start to when the finish. Like new writers maybe brought in and new people might join the cast and things that were cool and hip one year may not be so hip next year so they change thing . Everybody needs to take the time to read the article from the Wall Street Journal that's posted here. What Warner Bros. is doing to the General Lee is a disgrace and an insult to every fan of The Dukes. Think about it...Who in the heck are they trying NOT to offend? The people who WON'T be going to see the movie ANYWAY??? We, the real fans, will once again be the victim of political correctness...If Warner Bros. does what the article says it will do then I say BOYCOTT....They sit out there in California and call us a bunch of racist hicks, apologize for the Battle Flag on the General Lee, and THEN want our MONEY!! A few other Dukes-related message boards are reporting that the unrated version of 'The Dukes of Hazzard' that will be released on Tuesday along side the theartical released version of the film, is really raunchy. From what I understand, anyone looking to purchase the "unrated" version of the film can expect to hear more profanity, more sexual inuendos, nudity, and drug use. I was wondering what y'all would want to see in a dukes movie if it featured all the original cast in one last hurrah on the big screen. I would want to see the biggest scam to come through hazzard, one that maybe even concerns residents outside hazzard county, something perhaps on the grandest scale...A Dukes save the world kind of plot I guess. I feel like it would have to be something that would set up everyone leaving afterwards. Daisy falls in love, Cooter starts thinking about politics, Bo and Luke realize their dreams, Rosco saves the day. I just see it making everything come full circle. Your thoughts??

I think I might of made sence of why the director brought so much filth into Hazzard county IT IS NOT MEANT FOR US Put your self in the directors shoes. Your strictly making this movie for the money. You basicly have two target audiances 1 Dukes Fans. 2 Super Trupers/ Broken Lizard American Pie Jacka** Fans. Ok we all know that EVIL WB did not contact any of the original cast to try and incule them, which IMO is very disrespectful. Anyone know if the US premiere has been had? I wonder if they are inviting the original cast. I mean, to have the movie premiere with a grip of stars, and not invite the Original Cast, would be HORRENDOUS!! Disrespectful, and rude. Dont you think?

Someone on the Dukes Yahoo Group had this to say about the film So I saw the movie tonight as a Sneak Preview... I must say it is a darn fine flick. There's action, lots of comedy, and crazy ol' car stunts. But there is a problem. There's no "Duke" charm. None, Zip. Zilch. IT doesn't capture the good heartedness of the original. And yes, that PG-13 is a strong PG-13 rating. There's no if, ands, or buts about it. The reason I liked it is due to the fact that I have separated it from the Duke world we all know and love. It would be crazy not to notice the resemblance that Tom Welling of Smallville bears to a young John Schneider. After seeing the first season on DVD it was uncanny...The kid just needs blonde hair.
