Here's a loose rumor I picked up in the alley, take it for what it's worth... The issue at stake for Jennifer Simpson and Britney Spears isn't just the role of Daisy Duke. Whoever is awarded the role, will allegedly have the chance to record a song for the movie soundtrack. This is an interestin' grain of gossip. Take, for comparison, the Starksy & Hutch movie. It didn't have anything overwhelming in the way of a soundtrack. There were the expected 70's tunes, a mix of classic rock and disco, but nothing that gave the movie added punch. ( David Soul's 70's hit, "Don't Give Up On Us Baby" , was more or less made fun of.) But it sounds like the Dukes movie soundt…

Just saw a quick story about the movie on Entertainment tonight. Not very informatinve but showed some pretty cool shots of the General in action. Uncle Jesse apartently drives a blue mid 80's to early 90's Dodge Pick-up truck, and saw Knoxville dressed in Boss Hogg's outfit. Daisy kicks some guy in the chest at the Boars Nest, and it showed Scott filming a scene driving the General by himself. Other than that it didn't show much.

Ok i have read that Scott's Bo seems stupped but there where times the John's Bo was'nt the brights lights in all of Hazzard Also in the movie they seem to be women crazy but they where like that in the show to. Luke love story he what to be with her but yet he did'nt what to stop seeing other women :x and in other show the guys ether where runing after girls or very happy about spending all night out with a girl. I was watching the tv guide channel, yesterday. They had a behind the scene look at the movie, this is the info I got. 1), willie is singing the theme, and skynyrds, call me the breeze 2), him and jessica simpson are doing a duet, for the soundtrack 3), the movie is coming out in august. Since it is on cable, this is basically confirming alot of the rumors.

Ok. First of all, I'm sick. I'm sick of this movie. I'm sick of people who now think this lame excuse for a movie is the Dukes of Hazzard and I'm sick of what this stupid movie has done to the image of the Dukes of Hazzard. At this point I think if you enjoyed this movie, you shouldn't have. You should feel ashamed for the way they treated the Dukes. I found this contest on www.spankysnyc.com. It is a karaoke signing contest being held in New York City on Thursday, June 2nd for the chance to win two tickets to the world premiere of "Dukes of Hazzard." Apparently, airfare to LA, hotel stay for the night and ground transportation to the theater is part of the package. And get this...TOM "Luke Duke" WOPAT is one of the judges. The contest starts at 11:30 AM at SPanky's BBQ on 43rd Street in Manhattan with a little classic southern rock karaoke- Hazzard County Classics from the early 80s. Instead of a sequel the last two I say reboot the whole thing and try to do it right. The movies were OK for what they were but obviously the complaints against them were valid otherwise the second one wouldn't have been direct to DVD. Believe me I'm no prude, I'm all for good raunchy comedy. The Dukes just isn't and wasn't the vehicle to use for one. Rebooted properly something that was on it's last legs can be revived. You don't have to know anything about Superheros to know that the last two Batman movies raked it in. The first one one of those rebooted that franchise. A properly done "Dukes" could generate sequels and being family friendly could bring the kids in too…

i found this in a dukes e-mail news letter: However, Wopat is not part of the upcoming "Dukes of Hazzard" movie, starring Jessica Simpson as Daisy Duke, Burt Reynolds as Boss Hogg and Willie Nelson as Uncle Jesse. MTV star Johnny Knoxville has been cast as Wopat's old character, Luke Duke. Wopat is sure that Knoxville will do a good job with the character.
