Heard a tidbit on the radio while the local DJ was going over the celebrity gossip. I apologize for not having the name of this singer accurate, I think it was....Jennifer somebody or another, who's got a current hit on the charts. (I confess I've got no earthly idea about who this chic is, this broadcast was halfway through by the time I got the radio volume up.) It seems as though rumor has overwhelmed most of the locale postings; here's the truth: Yes, most of the filming will be completed in and around Clinton, LA (when I say around I mean right outside of town). Some is being wrapped up North of Zachary / South of Jackson (chase scene where the cars run through a barn). Most chase scenes are done on Overton-Ford (gravel) Road outside of Clinton. During the first part of the show the General had a Radio Shack Teardrop Base Antenna, later on the General had a Avanti AV-327 "Racer 27". But what about the reunion movies? Today I was just showering and was thinking about the Antenna's but then I noticed that I didn't know if the Reunion movies General Lee had an antenna, I decided to check it out. We first see the Generals antennas base when they first drive with it again. This is Reunion GL2. Later one we see the back of a General more clear, this is the only time you can see the back of a reunion General clearly. (In this case Reunion GL1). I don't think the new cast will bring the original classic feel from the show. Johnny and the um... (i forgot his name) (Bo) i dont think they will be very good for the part, but i still want to see the movie to see how it turns out. Jessica is questionable she kinda looks the part (attractive) but her reputation just makes me wonder. on the other hand Willie Nelson I think will make a perfect Uncle Jesse......... Hey, gang. Has anyone heard anything else about the additional Dukes DVD release that was supposed to be out today? It was supposed to be just a single disc with only the first episode "One Armed Bandits", but it was also supposed to have a behind-the-scenes look at the new movie, which is the only reason I'm interested in the DVD since I already have the first episode in the first season set. When CMT starts airing original episodes of "The Dukes of Hazzard" next month, I feel that the same exact thing is going to happen again just like it did when the old TNN aired the Dukes back in 1996. Dukes-mania!!! An entirely new generation was introduced to the Dukes in 1996 and I'm sure that we'll all see the same thing happen once again. Just think of all of the new Dukes-related merchandise that hit in late '90s because of the show's rebirth in popularity. Having the Dukes on the air again prior to the release of the new movie will definately help the new movie when it is released. What do you think? GADuke01

Hey ya'll I was going though some of my Cd's today and came across a Steve Earle Greatest Hits Album. On there is a song called "Copperhead Road" I dont know what you guys think but Id like to see Steve Earle do a modified version for the Dukes of Hazzard soundtrack. Last Sunday as part of the 2nd Annual Mopar & Vette Car CLub Challenge Benefit for Landon Robert at No Problem Raceway in Belle Rose, LA., 15 cars used in the filming of new Dukes of Hazzard movie put on an Exhibition race including the Gen Lee & police car chase... It was all in good fun, but it was a big crowd pleaser... The benefit raised over $7,500 for this lil 4&1/2 year old boy who is fighting cancer...
