I know the Dukes was only shot for 5 episodes in Georgia and the rest of the time in California, but the first 5 episodes were the best to me. I like the rural Georgia country roads. They were asphalt roads leading into the town of Hazzard but when they changed locations to California, the roads became dirt for some reason. It just seemed more real to me when they were filming in Georgia. I also hate the special effects of the last couple of years of the show. Some of the jumps were just to fake and you could tell it. With the updated technology now, it may look better but not back then. I also preferred Daisy in her jean Daisy Dukes instead of those outfits she en…

Few I think love the TV show the Dukes of Hazzard more than I do. Let me express it this way theres a story behind my affection. Back in 1981 when at a crossroads in my car building business in Idaho, I was in the march of going to the 1981 Salt Lake City Autorama. We at the shop had a different car nearly built, when on a scouting trip to find white go-go boots for the display, I ran across a duplicate General Lee. That was so exact it was teriffc. So then, the guy who built that car was going on a LDS Mission, and needed to sell the car, so I did what any good Duke fan would do, I bought it. Touched it up, replaced the 318 with a tweaked 440, and entered the Salt Lake C…

just a side note here, i attached a photo from the below mentioned go car (read about it ) i grabbed the pic from another site. As many of you know, I'm sure, THE DUKES OF HAZZARD was originally a TV show that ran from 1979 to 1985 (read JoBlo's review of its first season on DVD here). It followed the adventures of brothers' Bo and Luke Duke (played by John Schneider and Tom Wopat respectively) and their smoking hot cousin Daisy Duke (played by Catherine Bach) as they constantly feuded with the white pimp suit clad Boss Hogg and sheriff Roscoe P. Coltrane (played by Sorrell Booke and James Best respectively). In this current update, the trio is transported to present day…

i heat the so called (BLEEP) dukes of hazzard movie the tv show is a hell of alot better and funnyer and the tv show is a family show one i would let my kids watch if i had kids but why does that matter no way in hell would i let them see this movie unless they had their own apartment and even then if I knew they watched it I wouldn't speak to them for a year. In the tv show there are no tits hanging out unless you count John and Tom having their shirts off but in the movie all you see are tits i am mad as hell that they make a movie and call it the dukes of hazzard because it is not at all any thing like the tv show the Partridge Family. i grow up watching baseball ever…

It's been widely reported that Ashton Kutcher was gonna have a leading role in the upcoming Dukes movie, but I've come across new information that conflicts with this. Ashton is currently working on another project for Columbia Pictures. The movie is called "The Dinner Party" and went into production 06/21/04. The movie is slated for release next summer, just about when Dukes was supposed to come out. (the name of Ashton's project was blandly listed as, "Untitled Bernie Mac/Ashton Kutcher Project" , I had to dig around just to get the name of the movie. Sheesh, why is this stuff such a military secret?) Anyhoo...as Dukes was supposed to hit production this last spr…

Have any of you ever stopped to consider the security issues involved when you have celebrities in an area? Think about the rock n roller who was shot dead by a nut case just two days ago! There are more crazies out there than you can imagine, and all it would take is ONE with a grudge to get onto these sets and kill a star and/or cast/crew members. Some jerk got onto the set and in where they were filming last night, because in his twisted brain, he thought it was perfectly okay to just walk into the place and hang out! And he refused to leave!! And how did he get in there? Ask the Livingston Parish Deputy who was supposed to be guarding the entrance. He was busy …

I know this is nit-picky, but couldn't the editors have done something about the way Bo climbs out of the General? It looks very bad. It shows that Sean William Scott never got it down pat. Almost every time he's got one foot on the ground and the other still stuck inside. And I read an interview about him and Johny Knoxville....Sean says it was hard getting out of those windows. But if anyone on the movie set had bothered to refer to the old tv series (so that they might actually have a CLUE as to how the Dukes of Hazzard should be), they would notice that John Schnieder: 1. First, he raises his torso out of the car and, just for a second, sits on the door. 2. Then, whil…

went to a website about sean william scott (has great info on movie) filming of the Dukes is scheduled to start Nov 9th in louisiana. one of those teen maguzines PEOPLE ??? had an article about Nick and Jessica's relationship and said that Jessica was currently filming Dukes of Hazzard If this is true it raises a lot of good questions like who was cast as Rosco Cooter Enos???? why film in luisiana it should be at the town sqaure on the backlot at WB in Burbank CA. Or mabe in Georga where the first five episodes where filmed. This movie is starting to sound WACK no wonder BEN JONES was so outraged. the producers don't know what there doing.

Alright ya'll, I have been debating on whether or not to say anything at all on this site about the movie. I have been reading and watching patiently with the rest of you to see the new movie, and quite frankly I was disappointed with quite a few Dukes fans...and, I'm sorry to say it, Ben Jones. Not to say there werent a few things i would have changed....act one, scene one, Sheeve blows himself up...end of character. I didnt think that Gainey was a good choice for Rosco, and a few cameo's would have been alright with me. However, overall, the movie was entertaining as hell and worth going to more than once! What esle do you we need....the General kicking some major…

Here is a link that has audio samples from the songs on the new Dukes of Hazzard soundtrack. I hate to say it, but from the 30 seconds I head of the Willie Nelson version, it's going to suck. it sounds like he is off key on a bunch of the words. http://music.barnesandnoble.com/search/product.asp?userid=rs2cfSgBLi&EAN=827969489420&ITM=1

I have just been looking at who the crew are on the Dukes movie and I see that they have used 3 diferent lots of people to write and touch up the script.. I see John Obrian is the same guy the makers of Staskey and Hutch got in to touch up the script for that movie. I just wonder why they needed to get so many diferent people in to write the script and why they did not ask one for the script writers from the tv show to help write the script? Also I wonder how diferent to script writen by Jonathan Davis is the the Brocken Lizard one?

I'm of the opinion the original cast can't ( and shouldn't ) be replaced. But there's something to be said for keeping the Dukes of Hazzard adventures going for generations to come, so long as '69 Charges don't become extinct in the process. That bein' said... The "next generation" concept, which would give the original cast well-deserved screen time, would be the best way to appeal to longtime fans while drawing new folks that never saw the show in their life. Here's a rough idea for a script along that line: Rosco, having enough wherewithal to retire, and having perhaps at last found a true love in which to spend his twilight years, heads off to travel around the co…

This is the most official-lookin' thing I can find on the subject. Source quoted at the bottom of article. Jessica Emerges As Favourite For Daisy Duke Role 2/27/2004 Britney Spears' hopes of playing Daisy Duke in the movie version of classic TV series Dukes of Hazzard have been seriously jeopardized - by fellow pop beauty Jessica Simpson. The sexy character, originally played by Catherine Bach, aroused the attention of hordes of fans with eye-catching hot pants and stomach-baring tied shirts. And now Simpson has emerged as the clear frontrunner in the race for the role, after meeting with bosses at film studio WAarner Brothers a few weeks ago. Producer Bill Gerber, who …

Does anyone else think that they fact they are using like '80s Caprices as the Hazzard County sherriffs cars in the movie is totally gay? I mean when I was a kid growing up in the late 90s and first got into the Dukes, I'd fantasize about what the show would be like with modern cars esp like Crown Vic police cars.... Keep the General a 69 Charger, but for god's sake why they used Caprices is totally beyond me... If they wanted to be like the old show, get 76 Furys, or if they wanted to modernize the whole thing (which I think they did) why not use 99-present Crown Vics!!! Its completely insane to me... They have Daisy's jeep as a damned Rubicon (cheap product placement th…
