Dukes of Hazzard Movies

I found this contest on www.spankysnyc.com. It is a karaoke signing contest being held in New York City on Thursday, June 2nd for the chance to win two tickets to the world premiere of "Dukes of Hazzard." Apparently, airfare to LA, hotel stay for the night and ground transportation to the theater is part of the package. And get this...TOM "Luke Duke" WOPAT is one of the judges. The contest starts at 11:30 AM at SPanky's BBQ on 43rd Street in Manhattan with a little classic southern rock karaoke- Hazzard County Classics from the early 80s. I've been reading this forum since the announcement of the movie and I have been reading all of the posts. I love looking at all the pictures and videos everyone has been posting. My only problem is going through all the posts to find ALL the pictures and videos taken from the movie. I was wondering if someone has all the links and can put them in one section. I think this might be very helpful to the new people trying to find behind the scenes shots of cast, crew, and the General Lee. Thanks for you time!

Warner Bros is lowering the bar with this one. The producer, Bill Gerber, previously brought us the tender story of "BeerFest" along with the 2005 Emmy-rejected Dukes movie. One might think there's nowhere to go but up after having those on a resume'. Apparently WB thinks this is the right direction for Hazzard, and as a result the Dukes are really heading south. It's too soon to tell, but early leaks from the industry suggest that this new movie will not only suck, but will also swallow and choke. Either way it could leave a bad taste in yer mouth. I guess for every cultural icon, there will always be people who don't think anything should change about it. Hollywood is not just about entertaining the masses, it's about making money. Do any of you really think a new movie with a bunch of aging Dukes would make it to the big screen? Hardly. Seann and Johnny did an outstanding job as Bo and Luke Duke. Hello, I wanted to give everyone a update on the movie. Yesterday and today they are filming at the corner of Choctaw and Scenic in Baton Rouge. They are shooting the scenes for the Hazard County Police Dept. Yesterday it was Daisy breaking one of the Duke boys out of jail. They also had a 60's style mustang with Boss Hogg written on it and Burt Reynolds picture on it. Today I rode by there and The black Trans Am from Smokey and the Bandit with the liscense Bandit 4 on it. Tomorrow Clinton is having a Christmas parade and Jessica is supposed to be in the parade and I think they are filmin some scenes during the parade.

I am a extra in the Dukes of Hazzards movie and I would like to say that they shot in Zachary,LA behind the new Chillis Monday and Tuesday. Thursday and today they have been shooting at the corner of Scenic Hwy and Choctaw. Saturday Jessica Simpson for sure will be at the Clinton parade and they will shoot a couple of extra needed scenes to link in the Cooters Garage scenes. I just saw Ben "Cooter" Jones him day before yesterday while his band performed in Suffolk, Virginia. I can tell you that he is so friendly you just wouldn't beleive it. He stayed WAY after the show was over shaking hands, posing for pictures with people and just talking with them. I was there for two hours as people waited the whole time in a seemingly never-ending line just for an autograph. He went out of his way to make everyone feel comfortable, even way past dark and in 95 degree humidity, he kept on smiling. And the band was great. He said, "I'm not really a singer...I'm an actor. 30 years ago the FCC was alot stricter, things were more family oriented, etc. but alots changed since the 70's. things that occured regularly back then considered as "raunchy" now are perfectly acceptable. its legal for women to be topless in canada (mostly), bud is pretty much legal in BC... the USA, things changed too, but canadas a small example.
