The General Lee

Discuss the General Lee

  1. Started by Scott,

I got the connection for the movie cars. It appears that there is a mysterious warehouse around these parts that have quite a few left over cars. And I do believe a private owner is selling them to the highest bidder. Sorry, no General Lee's though. Only three people are credited with receiving an actual movie GL. But that's on the down low for now. secret squirrel kinda stuff, ya know.

Hi guys, I thought I start a new topic about my car to keep on subject in the other topic about Tom Sarmento. Well, my General Lee. For people that don't know the car, I own a 1969 Dodge Charger and made a LEE1-replica out of it. Not 100% accurate, but comes very close. I bought the car from a company in your country that where suppose to have restored it but they cut corners. Don't want to say much more about that, what has been done has been done... It was the reason for me to redo the car back in 2009 and decided to make a LEE1-replica because I didn't want just a General Lee but a specific car. The car was finished in 2010. I had a lot of fun with …

I saw the ORIGINAL general lee recently at a car show It was the car that the doh version was based on It was a 1940 Ford Mustang with a confederate flag painted as if it was draped over the hood and over the trunk, with a pic of the general lee on the doors on the roof (where general lee is written on the doh version) is the phrase "This man fought for our country, our rights and our lives. We must remember him at all costs." it was sweet, but not a good as the charger version here is a stock 40 mustang

I enjoy watching the Dukes movie simply because of the car scenes. After watching it several times, I feel that I kinda like the color of "Big Bad Orange." I realize that the Hemi-Orange and the 75' Corvette Flame-Red is more accurate, and perhaps more popular. However, I'm curious to see if anyone has applied the "Big Bad Orange" to their General (or to any other car). If so, how do you like it, opinions, pics, ect...? I'm not saying that I'm going w/ the Big Bad Orange for my Charger necessarily, but I'm just curious to see if anyone has used it. Thanks for any replies, Aaron

  6. My dad and I have wondered this for a long time if someone could tell me witch episode and season that would be great thanks

  7. So... I'm new to this site so I'm not sure if this would be the correct spot to place this... But I've recently been watching The Dukes on Prime, currently in season 7, and I got to thinking about how my dad and I both love the show and how we both love General, I think it would be a huge undertaking and I know my dad won't be able to help me with it, which means I won't have that bonding time with him, but I've been thinking about pretty much building the General. I think it'll be a great way to learn about cars and their parts, but also to have a bit of a hobby, and reason to get my hands dirty. I'm kinda thinking about building two Generals though, one for me and one t…

Hi, I read in another post that we are not allowed to post links, so if you would like to check out my General Lee R/C car jumping stuff on youtube, search "General Lee R/C car jumps." If you click on my "other video's," you can see the other jump vids as well, enjoy. If you have any cool ideas, I'd love to try and shoot them, thanks. If this should be in the Hobbies forum, I apologize. Awesome site we have here, great job everybody! Rob

For several years now I've been seeing Ebay adds for fresh built General Lees from various places in Indiana always with a "Buy it now" of $22,000 to $25,000. The photos are always the same as is the description but the seller's user name is different on every auction. The auction promises a freshly built General Lee with a warranty and free shipping. Anyone here purchase their General from this fellow? Doesn't seem legit to me.

I saw a General Lee fly past me as i was walking to work... Full paint job. But it had glass in the windows of the doors so i would think the doors open.. I ran to try to see where it was going to try to get a photo but it was long gone...

Good Morning, I'm sure this has been asked or attempted before. But I can not find a related post. Is anyone making complete General Lee Magnetic Decals for 69 Chargers? Has it been attempted? if so, did it end miserably with a rebel flag across the guys windshield behind you? I get that taking magnets off and on will scratch the paint.. I'm considering putting clear chip guard on first so that the magnetic decals can come off on and on. I'd even consider storing them on a spare roof and doors so that they retain their shape. Looking for some advice, I know this is not the ideal way to do this but with everything going on currently it might be my only option.. I woul…

  16. Started by CDoherty95,

Hey y'all I don't know if many of you have heard about this story, but apparently during Dukes a truckload of wrecked GLs was stolen. Several years later,a friend of Corey Eubanks who was in construction was digging foundations for a housing development, when he came across several GL hulks. Does anyone know if this is true?and can anyone add to this?extra info, fate of the cars etc

I just realized, there's no thread for bloopers with the General Lee (if there is, I don't know where). Now I have come across pictures with bloopers in them: Case and point there is a picture of the General Lee somewhere with the 01 backwards. It has a cast member standing infront of it. Somehow, I wonder if it was a publicity photo (those General's actually didn't have the numbers on them) who someone tried to fill in the numbers and had dyslexia or something. Now on to what I noticed today. I just finished watching 'Happy Birthday General Lee' and I caught something peculiar when they did the junk yard scene where that worker is being grilled by those two criminals. I …

I'm in Myrtle Beach for the weekend and we went to a car museum and they had The General! They also had Bandit1 and a 69 Dodge Charger 500 which I think would have been so cool if they painted it like The General Grant. These were all down at Wheels of Yesteryear near Myrtle Beach, South Carolina https://g.co/kgs/VtTVpFn (Also apologies if this is posted in the wrong topic, I'm still kind of learning)
