I would like to be either the 3rd Duke boy cousin or Cooter's employee to help with the cars because he got too busy to handle it himself. Either way, I'd like to ride a super fast motorcycle like a 1973 Kawasaki Z1 or 1978 Kawasaki KZ1000 that could out jump the General by a long shot. I'd have the Confederate flag painted on the bike's gas tank. I would have grown up in the big city-Atlanta-and have tattoos, long hair, and listen to rock and roll. And if I was Cooter's employee, I'd like to become Daisy's husband!!!

There's been alot of bashing of season 7-not on this site though. Here's my opinion. Yes it was different. There were weird things involved-an alien and a robot. A trip to Hollywood. Flashbacks of the past(Happy Birthday General Lee and Go West Young Dukes). It just was not like the other seasons. But I wouldn't say it's the worst. If you asked me which season was the worst, I really couldn't answer that question. It had some cheesy, even stupid episodes, but so did the other seasons. Maybe just on a slightly larger scale. How many times has he landed his butt in the Hospital their were 3 injury episodes " Brotherly Love , Goodbye General Lee , and In this Corner Luke Duke . I ain't wrong here it seemed to me that because he was the lead Character that he would suffer most of the serious injuries not that I didn't enjoy seeing him lying in a hospital bed Unconicous he looked so hansom even though he was hurt what are some of y'all's Opinions about this ? and which ones are your favorite Luke Duke injury episodes ?

Now, is it just me, or has CMT not been showing the Dukes as much as they have before?? I thought the schedule was 7 PM, Monday through Friday??? It seems like in the past two weeks, every night I turned CMT on, at 7, there was something else on, anything but the Dukes.....is CMT trying to cut back on the Dukes? You don't think they'd possibly take them off syndication?? I will be pretty darn mad if they do!! Why is it that Roscoe was replaced from time to time? I don't think they ever gave an explanation as to why in the show and I haven't been able to find anything online that gives a good solid answer. Also wondering if there's a list anywhere about the 'guest sheriffs' that subbed for Roscoe. Didn't both Jackie Gleason and the Louisiana Sheriff from the 70's James Bond movies come thru?

Has anyone had any problems with the Season 4 DVD? Just got a Region 2 DVD set from play.com and I found that Disc 4 would not play on either side from about 36 minutes in. I sent that back and the replacement arrived today. It's got exactly the same problem on Disc 4. It either skips and pauses from 36 minutes onward or won't start to play any of the later episodes. Have I just been really unlucky to get two faulty DVD sets or is there known to have been problems with that particular DVD?

I don't know if this has been brought up before but I think I have the reason as to why the Dukes were pulled from television. With the change of all digital TV coming on FEB 09 ,Blue-ray and HD dvd players along with plasma or lcd High def tv's ....the Dukes look "dirty" on Tv. If you take a look at tv land and shows like I love Lucy and M*a*s*h* along with movies on TCM or AMC have all been cleaned up and digitaly remasterd in high def....somthing DOH lacks Even the 70+ year old Three Stooges Movies are getting put out on dvd in high-def now.
