Dukes of Hazzard General Discussion

I sometimes drive an ATV, up at a cabin by country roads. I was wondering how I can drive like the Dukes and do jumps with the ATV like the Dukes. I'm planning on practicing.

I have been watching the Dukes of Hazzard all the time for the past week or so. I like a lot of shows and my number 01 favorite show often changes but my number 01 favorite show is the Dukes of Hazzard. I watch at somewhere between 4-9 episodes a day. I've used to watch this about 10 years ago, I had stopped watching it. I forget why, think it was taken off the air or something. about a month or 2 ago, I had stated watching it again. I think it's the best show of the 80's.

Awhile ago, I watched Mars Attacks (1996) and there was a scene about halfway through the movie where the aliens have a TV or something in the spaceship and the flip the channels. One of the things you see is a small part of the intro,the part where it shows the General Leecruising down the road and makes a hard turn to the left. It;s were the title comes up on the screen. I gonna go watch that part agian (in the movie).

I have been wondering this for awhile. I have been watching a lot of Dukes of Hazzard lately.

Everyone is always either talkin' about Bo or Luke....but what about COOTER?

I"m trying to find out what episode it was that the green machine sucked Enos' pants, belt, and gun off. I think he had metal in his pockets. Also, what episode was it when Rosco lit Boss Hogg's hat on fire? Thanks for the help...

I don't know if this has been brought up before but I think I have the reason as to why the Dukes were pulled from television. With the change of all digital TV coming on FEB 09 ,Blue-ray and HD dvd players along with plasma or lcd High def tv's ....the Dukes look "dirty" on Tv. If you take a look at tv land and shows like I love Lucy and M*a*s*h* along with movies on TCM or AMC have all been cleaned up and digitaly remasterd in high def....somthing DOH lacks Even the 70+ year old Three Stooges Movies are getting put out on dvd in high-def now. I think if the Dukes want to make it back on the tube then WB is gonna have to step up and get to work on a restoration project f…

Just transferred this song to my computer in ITunes. I even extended it because it was too short. Great song , they sound great together! I thought I would post it and share it with the forum. What was the 'method' used to blow-out/shoot-out a tire on the Dukes of Hazzard? they did it many times.... I figure some type of exploding device, but, wondered if anyone had some more 'specific' details/info?

Anybody typed in 'Dukes of Hazzard Bloopers' on YouTube? very interesting bloopers on there from the show..... I would post the link, however, I recall posting links without permission is not allowed. Quite interesting and colorful language on some of those 'bloopers'. I was hoping more of this stuff would surface with the years.... as well as a bunch of other un-edited footage of jumps, showing the General Lee jumps/landings in full.

all my other DVDs seem to work ok except for season 3 disk 2 side B it played oncee then it neverplayed again, theres no scratches , side B just dosent play but side A does. what could be wrong? what are your problems wih the DVDs?

The General Lee's... some are still around... Patrol Cars, prolly some originals from the show somewhere surely?.... but what about the Cadi Boss drove/rode in? and Cooters Truck?.... where would these things have gone after all these years? .... of course, the Cadi and the Truck were switched out from time to time, or so it would seem from watching all the seasons. Hopefuly this question either has already been answered elsewhere on this forum.... or there is a answer for it....? I mean, the Sanford & Son Truck is still around.... so surely the Cadi and Cooters Truck are somewhere as I type... just sittin.... some proud owner holding onto them.....

Is it just me, or do the first episodes seem alot darker that the rest? I think those were better shows. It got pretty silly there at the end.

Am I wrong , or was there a particular movie that the DOH tv series was based on? I was only 9-10 at the time, but i swear that I remember hearing that. I even remember seeing parts of a movie that it was said that the show was based on. It was a serious movie. Not a comedy. Can anyone help? cd

Wanted to know if anyone knew of this event taking place fromm North Carolina to Covington Georgia (filming location of the 1st 5 episodes of the Dukes). Why in the opening credits of the show they put Tom Wopat first and John Schneider second? The alphabetical order is usually preferred when actors playing the main characters are equally famous (or actually also unfamous!). So what's the matter here? Was Tom slightly better known than John, who i know was totally unknown?

Hi everybody, this is my first post here, but i've been lurking for a while a nd have read all your funny post. Yesterday i was watching Mrs.Daisy Hogg and when Daisy is about to marry Jamie L. Hogg i thought that was not the first time she fell in love, because i can recall she having a crush on Gaylord Duke in Duke of Duke...which made me wonder how many other times she falls in love during the series. And Bo&Luke? Bo has several crushes during the show, Diane Benson in Carnival of Thrills on top on my mind, but there must be others. I can't remember anything about poor Luke though Thanks

I need to know if there was ever a scene of The Dukes where you'd see Daisy and Enos dancing together? I know there was one in season one, but it was at the very end and not very long Anybody know of anything else?

Despite the absence of John and Tom, I have to say storywise, this was a very good season. Still though, doesn't seem right not seeing Bo and Luke in the General Lee.

I'd like very much to see the 2 Reunion of 1997 and 2000. Unfortunately, when they were aired here in Italy, I didn't know so I didn't saw them. I'm waiting for Dvds or Vhs but nothing yet. I found only Vhs on internet but they are not compatible with the italian Vhs players. Someone can help me, telling me where I can find them? Thanks so much!
