Dukes of Hazzard General Discussion

Hey folks, I have a question. Where/when was " The Dukes Visit Las Vegas" done? I thought I had ALL 147, episodes PLUS the two reunion movies and I THINK I have that crappie " New Dukes", with Johnny Knoxville, etc. ......but I NEVER even HEARD of this one!! ( Is it one of the episodes created on this site?)

Has anybody, besides me, got/read Ben Jones' book, Redneck Boy In The Promise Land, The confessions of Crazy Cooter. ? I've got it and it's ok but no big deal. He just talks about how it was growing up etc. It's a big thick book too. It turns out Ben Jones is a Leftist, cashing in on looking like a conservative. IS the book set 4 sigle or dubble sided sets?

I'd like very much to see the 2 Reunion of 1997 and 2000. Unfortunately, when they were aired here in Italy, I didn't know so I didn't saw them. I'm waiting for Dvds or Vhs but nothing yet. I found only Vhs on internet but they are not compatible with the italian Vhs players. Someone can help me, telling me where I can find them? Thanks so much!

Today is the 40th anniversary of the first time the greatest television show in history appeared on screen. I didn't see it but I remember people talking about it for awhile so a month later I started watching and haven't stopped and never will stop. Thanks to the creators, stars, production team, stunt people and everybody else who has brought 4 decades of fun and joy into my life.

which you like best picture on opening on any season? because I notice after 6th or 7th little different from first or second season because 5 and 4th season with cletus, so which you like best? I like first season and 3th season when little add from general lee jump and daisy's what about you guys which like? post here thanks.

Anybody typed in 'Dukes of Hazzard Bloopers' on YouTube? very interesting bloopers on there from the show..... I would post the link, however, I recall posting links without permission is not allowed. Quite interesting and colorful language on some of those 'bloopers'. I was hoping more of this stuff would surface with the years.... as well as a bunch of other un-edited footage of jumps, showing the General Lee jumps/landings in full.

Wow.. the packaging and 9 dvds in this.. i paid $32 at walmart for it. All the cds have an individual character on it... luke, bo, daisy, uncle jesse, cletus, cooter,boss hogg, roscoe, and the general lee. I am really impressed with this.. its the best looking one.. i'm gonna go watch the extras now...Later y'all.

Despite the absence of John and Tom, I have to say storywise, this was a very good season. Still though, doesn't seem right not seeing Bo and Luke in the General Lee.

What was the 'method' used to blow-out/shoot-out a tire on the Dukes of Hazzard? they did it many times.... I figure some type of exploding device, but, wondered if anyone had some more 'specific' details/info?

Hello. I've been after a DVD set of the show, but I'd like to know if any of y'all have made picture quality comparisons between all the ones available? Far as I know, there's the "Original Set" with the Confederate Flag, and then two repackaged releases (Standard DVD cases and a newer with two fat cases containing all discs), released in the U.S. Now, in the U.K., there were the individual DVD seasons and a complete boxset (repackage of the individual seasons). There might be more in the world, although the best ones are likely the U.S. due to being in NTSC format and running at the correct framerate. P.S. Yes, Amazon does have the series beautifully …

On part of the site, here, it says that Bo is the youngest of the 3 cousins but I believe Daisy was the youngest of the 3, Bo was just younger than Luke.

Hi folks, My first time on the forum in a LONG time (in fact, I've just spent two hours trying to remember which email I used so I could access my old account). One of my goals is to post MUCH more regularly this year, but for now... It's a key date for U.K. fans such as myself... as Sat 3rd March 1979 marked the first time 'The Dukes of Hazzard' was ever broadcast in the United Kingdom! My all-time favourite TV series, that shaped myself, my interests and my character in so many ways. Correct me if I'm wrong, but it was late sixties or early seventies that it was made mandatory for vehicles to have insurance. That said, the enormous question is; what kind of life would the insurance agency for Hazzard have (as in reactions)? I would have been quite interested in seeing an episode of The Dukes of Hazzard in some sort of depiction on an insurance agency and how the agents handled it. If I recall the quotes of one Rosco Coltrane correctly; "Guess they're gonna cancel my insurance now..." Surely the backbone to my thesis stands. Especially if Rosco was running through patrol cars like water on rye.

Trying to figure out where the location here in California was that they filmed the chase scenes in the country side. I remember that in the last couple years some or all of it burned...but I would still like to go out there in my Charger. Can anyone help? Thanks Corey

In tonight's episode Dukes of Hazzard was an answer It was funny watching the lady give horrible clues on it. At the end of the round the other lady said "why didn't you just say General Lee" .
