Dukes of Hazzard General Discussion

On High Octane, I see a Ford flareside-don't know what year. In some episodes I saw a 1/2 ton, then a few minutes later a 3/4 ton. In most episodes he has a 73-75 Ford, but in Trouble at Cooter's he had a 76-77 for a couple of scenes. Why was this done? Is it because they thought no one would notice? Or was it done to make the show goofier, therefore adding to the comedy? Another example of this is in High Octane the lady revenue agent has a Ford Granada with round headlights. Next scene she's driving a newer Granada with sqaure headlights.

I sometimes drive an ATV, up at a cabin by country roads. I was wondering how I can drive like the Dukes and do jumps with the ATV like the Dukes. I'm planning on practicing.

I know about Ben Jones leaving the show temporarily over a dispute. But how was Cooter's absence explained in the show when his cousins filled in for him? I know James Best's absence was written in as Rosco went to Atlanta to retrain at the police academy.

Greetings everyone! I am new here and thought I'd introduce myself by creating a post about the Dixie horn that I built myself. It was pretty easy to build and it is loud! The nice part is it sounds exactly like an original Jubilee Dixie air horn from 1979. There are no moving parts to wear out and it plays perfectly in tune. I would love to hear your feedback on it. I have 107 episodes on DVD because I bought seasons 1-5 all at once when I got my income tax check just was at Wal-Mart one night really late and seen them al lthere, and just threw all of them in the cart along with some Ren & Stimpy DVD's..... anyway, I just was wondering if there was any answer about when I can expect to see seasons 6 and 7 out on DVD? I know that like 4 and 5 came out fairly recently it seems from some of the info Ive seen online about the DVD releases..... but I cant seem to find any info about when seasons 6 and 7 will be out so I can hurry up and complete my collection. I can't stand The Dukes of Hazzard anymore. In fact, I've grown to hate the show. I've found this new show called Keeping up with the Kardashians that is amazing. I hope they have a KardashianNet because I want to leave here and join that if they do. The Kardashians are a billion times cooler than the Dukes. April Fools. And Happy Sadie Hogg Day!

Answer: 287 * Another funny fact.....the subtitles that you can turn on to see the dialogue, when Daisy, Jesse and Cooter are talking about springing the boys from jail, Cooter says " It ain't gonna be easy with Bighead Little guarding them." Bighead" = Big Ed, as in Ed Little the Sheriff of Chicasaw Co. Sometimes the words are a little off...lol!

Hey guys. I need to know... Im kind of going through a rough patch right now, and I need some good Dukes episodes that cheer me up... Specificaso than episode that doesn't deal with love, just the good ol boys ripping it in the General. I know it sounds odd, but just bare with me. I was thinking maybe Happy Birthday General Lee.. Or something along those lines.

I think it's nice, that here in Hazzard, you can say stuff and nobody thinks you're weird or you don't have to explain what you mean or what you're talking about, because everybody in Hazzard knows all the episodes! It's great! We have our own little world here ( called Hazzard) which is about as close to perfect as any can be! We're all close and it's really like " Home"

Y'all... I think that version in the 2005 movie with no flag and no name on it, it rolled the General Lee and the black Charger into one. Being orange with that O1 on it, it symbolized GL and opening doors symbolizing the black car in Happy Birthday General Lee. What do y'all think?

Hey Hoss, since you are so good at posting screenshots (or screengrabs or whatever they're called) would you consider a funny caption contest? Find something that could potentially be funny and post it and then we (and you too) can respond with a funny caption. Do it once a week or once a month or randomly whenever you want. If you like the idea start a seperate thread from this one. Since you'll be doing all the work your name should be on the headline. Should it be limited to 2 responses per person? If you don't like the idea, no problem. It's just a thought.

Many of you know the Dukes' farmhouse in Georgia has been demolished. I think it'd be cool if somebody bought the property and turned it into a Dukes museum; an exact replica of how it looked in 1978. Thoughts? Obviously I can't do it. I'm a broke 16 year old in Michigan.
