Dukes of Hazzard General Discussion

Over the years i have found many rare pictures of the dukes of Hazzard on the internet and saved them on my local hard drive. Because i couldn't find a thread generally about these i thought i'd start my own. Unfortunately for many of these pictures I can't find the source of so some might be from this Forum. If some were from this forum i am sorry for re-posting them. If i can find the source of a picture I post I'll post the link to the source. Hey y'all! A while back on the Hazzard Square thread I suggested that someone make a thread on the ranches used in Dukes. So I took it upon myself to try and unravel the mystery that is Valencia Oaks Movie Ranch. Hoss kindly supplied me with an aerial photo of the ranch from 1980,so sit back,grab a buttermilk or jug of shine and enjoy!! Whilst working on my recent Fan Art project, Buildings of Hazzard, I realised how many changes take place to the stores and other buildings around Hazzard Square. I thought we could have some fun recording the changes. Most of us know that after the Georgia episodes Hazzard Square relocated to the back lot at Warner Bros. Studios in Burbank. Below are 2 different views of the square as it is now. I have numbered the buildings for reference purposes. As you can see, the square hasn't changed that much, notable exceptions are: building 10 has been re-clad; buildings 16, 22, 23, 24 and 25 are totally different and have been rebuilt since Dukes. i was just watching "money to burn" on the 1st season dvd. i think its episode 11. in the beginning of it, enos is chasing the general lee and bo says something on the radio to enos about having the catch them and enos says thats what i am about to do _______" i dont know what the last word is though. thought it might be beauregard since thats his real name but to be honest, at first, i thought he called him 'butter roll' LOL that would be funnier! let me know if u know what he says. its bugging me! :x thx

I've seen this two-hour movie premiered on April 20th and in other places later in September of 1980. Does anyone know the correct date?

Did they drink real beer on the set? I know I heard it was fake at first (because John was only 18), but how about later on?

hey guys, just wondering if yall ever noticed that john Schneider ran funny like something was wrong with his leg. he was very slow compared to tom and the episode about his new boots focused on it and once bo was sitting on a keg and said his leg fell asleep when he limped. it didn't fit with any story of the episode. there is a few more things I cant think of now.

The General Lee's... some are still around... Patrol Cars, prolly some originals from the show somewhere surely?.... but what about the Cadi Boss drove/rode in? and Cooters Truck?.... where would these things have gone after all these years? .... of course, the Cadi and the Truck were switched out from time to time, or so it would seem from watching all the seasons. Hopefuly this question either has already been answered elsewhere on this forum.... or there is a answer for it....? I mean, the Sanford & Son Truck is still around.... so surely the Cadi and Cooters Truck are somewhere as I type... just sittin.... some proud owner holding onto them.....

Did I miss something here? An alien? Must've lost interest the Dukes back then. I looked on wikipedia and was wondering if these different story plots are the reason why the show came to an end. Discuss anything in the final season here.

Now when Bo and Luke entered the garage, Boars Nest, Sheriff's office, the farm, etc are they on a set or really in that place? We see the General pull up to the garage or the Sheriff's office...when they enter the location is it somewhere else on a sound stage or at that location on the square? Why are some episodes a real farm is used and then the next episode a small set (fake farm) is used?

Didn't those two old timers have a history of going a long way back of knowing each other? All's I remember that Jesse somehow got even with the Boss when Hogg was about to win money over a race or something and Jesse just announced on the loud speaker that Boss was going to donate the money to charity or something. To protect his good name, Boss reluctantly gave in, but they celebrated with hot dogs and other snacks. Which episode was this?

Y'all... I spotted Fred and Lamont Sanford's truck of Sanford and Son in The Dukes of Hazzard Season 3 Uncle Boss(filmed in Season 2 aired in Season 3.) The truck can be seen in Hazzard Square when Rosco starts chasing Luke & Cooter when he thinks they're running moonshine, after he saw them load the trunk with the boxes, after Uncle Jesse's disguised voice phone call tip off to him. In the clip, the truck can be seen at 0:03.

I've seen two things recently that have given me hope. An article about Ray Kohn's jump in Detroit mentioned that the flag wasn't a big issue since people like Dukes so much. I'm pretty bad with finding stuff on the web but I saw an article about how even the mayor had a picture taken with the General. (If someone can refind that and post the link here I'd appreciate it). I also opened my Sunday newspaper and saw a section called Parade that has been around in Sunday's paper as long as I can remember. I was just watching "Dukes in Danger" and I noticed when Luke was changing the tire on the General we was turing the lug wrench the opposite direction (turning it right to loosen the lug nuts and left to tighten). Is this right for because of the tires on the General?
