Love this episode, and I wish Jerry Rushing had had a recurring role as Ace, and shown up in more episodes...considering he basically was DOH, as they created the show mainly based off his real-life story! But, the supposed Richard Petty wreck that Bo & Luke buy from Ace, is said to have been referred to as “Lee 1”...as it was originally a Charger turned into the General Lee—and was supposedly the very first jump on the show, in the Pilot. Which is said to be the jump over Rosco, in front of the Oxford College in Georgia, and forever included in the show’s opening. It totaled the car (obviously ) and later was repainted & used as the wreck in this episod…

Hey y'all, I just got season 5 as a present from my sister.I'm just wondering what to expect.I know that most people don't like season 5 because Bo and Luke aren't in it,but the stunts are meant to be really good. I'm just wondering what y'all think of season 5 and why

Has anyone else ever considered / noticed that season five's "Farewell, Hazzard" may have been conceived as a possible finale to the show? Think about it. After the show had Coy and Vance in place of Bo and Luke for most of the season (as well as slowly declining script quality), ratings were seriously down on the previous seasons. So it was uncertain for a time if the series would be renewed for another season. As such, "Farewell, Hazzard" can really be seen as a bookend finale to the show. Boss finally succeeds in taking the Duke farm from the Dukes, leaving them homeless and forced to leave town. Meanwhile, a dodgy property developer is conning him and plans to oblit…

I finally watched it today and it left me rather unsatisfied, it felt more like "just another episode" than the series final episode. It didn't seem like they cared much for it, like they just wanted to be done with it? That being said, it's still a good season and I enjoyed seeing Hughie Hogg again on this final/canceled season.

“One Armed Bandits”, the Pilot episode that started it all, premiered 44 years ago today: 1/26/1979! 44 years later DOH is stronger than ever—yee haw! I’m thinking about watching the Pilot later this evening...along with the Boar’s Nest Special.

Inspite of a sneaky title, this is a balanced slice of Hazzard life. The lake scene between Enos and Daisy is so sweet. Quotes Lulu "Actual cost" Bo "Take a break" Luke "Put him in the trunk" Daney

Just wondering if anyone else noticed this. In Repo Men, in the scene where Enos and Daisy are having a "man to man" talk, Enos grabs a lemon off of the Dukes kitchen table. At the end of the show, when Rosco sees the counterfeit plate in what's left of the Rolls, Enos is looking over Rosco's shoulder eating a lemon. Just goes to show that watching season one episodes over and over again causes one to be too analytical. Waiting for season two to come out.

I have seasons 2,3,4,5. Are there any above the average shows I should watch? I just got seasons 2 and 5 for christmas. I've had 3 and 4 for a while longer than I've had 2 and 5 but 3 is my oldest set. I can't wait for season 6 to come out, it has alot of the episodes I want to see.

In Baa, Baa White Sheep (season 3, I think) Cooter is at his garage on his tow truck's CB telling Luke and Daisy about Boss Hogg changing into the black suit in the scheme to trick the judge. Cooter said that Boss was changing "Quicker than a mineral swimmin' nickel dipper." At least this is what I think he said, even after "rewinding" several times. Cooter sorta mumbled his way through this one. I love all of the odd phrases in the show, but this one has me stumped. Is Cooter really saying "Quicker than a mineral swimmin' nickel dipper" and what in the world does it mean? Or is Cooter saying something else?

There's an episode somewhere in which Enos falls into a car crusher and Daisy pulls him out, but he's knocked out. Then she says, "Enos, if this don't wake you up, nothing will" and she kisses him. What episode is that in? I thought it'd be an early one, but it wasn't in 1 or 2.

Does anyone know why Bo and Luke are so OVERprotective of Daisy in this episode? I don't have season 5 yet, which I assume that this episode is from.

Off the top of my head,I can remember 4 episodes where the general lee was chasing a patrol car! So can you remember them,and were there more then 4 episodes ??? And one more thing,how the heck do you get pics on here,what in the world am I suppose to type to get picks????? Why can't we just browse and click and bingo there it is??????? Ok, I know it's one of the later episodes, what did everyone think about "Strange Visitor to Hazzard"?, if you haven't watched it, to cut a long story short an alien comes to Hazzard and Boss and Rosco want to use him/her (was never clear on that) as an attraction to bring tourists into Hazzard. Oh and two guys who are on the run for holding up a church bingo game try to take over Hazzard using the WHOGG radio station (I think that's the name...), anyway that's all from me, 10:4. Joe

One of my favorite episodes. First use of Jessup Road, Cooter's Farm. Rosco back from the police station! =) Has an interesting blooper toward the end - Luke and Sam jump off the truck into the convertible, both of them have orange suits. I was just watching Good-bye General Lee again last night and was wondering what type of car the yellow car was. Was that another Dodge Charger? I don't know alot about cars. Thanks

I like this show, but one burning question why didn't they make a spin-off from this show?

Well I was just watching My Son, Bo Hogg again and everytime I watch it I noticed that Bo says something else when he says he's going Boar hunting. Obviously they dubbed over his line there. Does anyone know where he was originally going or what he was originally hunting before the dub? Sorry if this question is confusing. Second, I watched Baa Baa... originally on CMT and noticed that when they said "Benny the Quill" they took out the sound from the episode momentarilly so that you can't hear "the quill" part. I got the season and they don't dub over it. Can anyone tell me why CMT thought it nessecary to dub out "the quill"? Is it a derogatory term for a person? Again, s…
