Hey, I just discovered something. I am reading Ben Jones' book "Redneck Boy in the Promised Land" On pages 33 and 65, Ben mentions a mechanic named Stump Rountree that Ben and his uncle worked for (imagine that, Ben working for a mechanic) Anyway, Stump was also a citizen of Hazzard County even though he was only mentioned by name and never actually appeared on the show. Stump was mentioned in the episode "The Canterbury Crock" from season 3.

You know, out of all the characters I got along with, it was her that seemed to stick out. Miss Tizdale wasn't any ordinary Grandma/mother figure. No way, she rode the motorcycle like with was nothing. If you wanted to get your mail, you better pull out your ID, it doesn't matter just how long you have known her. I like her little green hat. She would wear these cute little dresses. Miss Tizdale's hair was always up in a bun. So good job, mail lady, it is about time you were given some recognition for the work you do.

McGainey was nice looking back in 1982, I have only one question from here to then what happened. He was not definetly not the best part of the movie version.

It may not have been the most popular episode of DOH but it always got people talking. The actor who wore the alien suit on Strange Visitor to Hazzard has died. His name was Felix Silla and he was 84. He was best known as Cousin ITT on Addams Family.

I see that the moderators have posted an announcement that Neva Patterson has passed on to Hazzard Heaven. Although she was only in one episode she made a big impact with me because I love that episode so much. I wish she would have appeared on more than "Swamp Molly". This news is extra difficult considering we just lost another resident of Hazzard County, the beautiful Peggy Rea. I take these losses tough since I love the show so much. It's nice to be part of the HazzardNet since I take comfort in knowing other folks here, feel like the actors on the show, are like family and miss them when they pass on. It has been reported that Samuel E. Wright has just passed away. He was Enos's police partner in the TV series Enos. Unfortunately, Enos never came out on DVD so only us folks who were lucky enough to see the series when it originally aired know what a great duo Enos and Turk were. I didn't know this but he was also the voice of Sebastian on The Little Mermaid. He was 74 and will be missed.

I was watching Road Pirates today. I thought the first truck driver who Daisy stopped with her legs looked familiar. He was the strong looking guy who laid down beside her and crawled under her car to secure the muffler. They showed his name in the credits and it is Salt Walther. He lived from 1947 to 2012 and drove different classes of race cars. In 1973 he was involved in a horrific crash at the Indianapolis 500. I watched it on You Tube. It was nasty....so nasty in fact that it changed rules that made the Indy 500 more safe. My memory isn't that great but it seems like maybe we've talked about him before here on the HN. I'm wishing there would have been more eps with Sheriff Little, and that we would have got to see some bad-natured rivalry between the Sheriffs of Chickasaw and Hazzard County. I enjoyed Sheriff Little because he had it in for everybody, equally. He had no use for the Dukes, and he couldn't stand Rosco, and he didn't like ol' Boss Hogg. One gets the impression that Sheriff Little didn't like Hazzard County as a whole - or, he was somewhat jealous of it's freewheeling antics. Chickasaw County always seemed like it wasn't any fun. I was watching the episode Jude Emery the other night on CMT, and I was wondering about this. First, who is Sherriff Grady? Second, how did they explain Rosco's absense? In Arrest Jesse Duke, they explained it as being Rosco in a police course in Atlanta.

I like Candi & Randi Brough who played those 2 girls in "Twin Trouble" & "Arrest Jesse Duke". They were cool blonde twins. I really wonder what they're up to these days

Alright, so I'm writing a story, and a plan on using a pivotal member of the Hazzard community for a scene, the good reverend... but... I cannot remember his name or age! Help! I am fairly certain the good reverend appeared in the episode where there was a mixup with the little black books, where Daisy was in a church play as a nurse. Someone, please assist me!

I must be dense or something but did you know that that kid is the same one who plays the main tall kid whose name I cant remember in the episode The Boars Nest Bears? Please tell me I am not the only one who didn't notice this.. Anyhow, hasn't he grown!! lol He's also got a lot cuter.

So I was just watching 'Double Dukes' with the commentary from Tom, John and Cathy. They had a whole discussion about the bad-dudes-of-the-week Turk & Moody. Now I have watched this commentary probably a half a dozen times, and I just finally caught a little somethin funny that John & Tom said about these two. John asked: "Why didn't these guys play Coy & Vance?" and then Tom replied: "They're too talented." I laughed soooo hard! It's true tho! I totally agree with Tom!

Hey y'all I was watching Luke's Love Story earlier. Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't the Hazzard County Derby meant to be every year? Anyway that got me thinking. Amy Creevy leaves the trophy with Luke,saying she will come back next year and win it fair and square. That scene had me practically yelling to the writers in my head (must have been caused by the paint fumes from the Rosco bike) about how they missed out on a really good opportunity to bring back two (in my mind) interesting characters that could have been expanded. Another example of this is all the various widows,neighbors and townfolk that had an episode based on them (Grannie Annie,The Canterbury Crock,…

My wife is a huge General Hospital fan. Today they were showing scenes from an upcoming episode and I saw a lady who looked familiar and my wife said "Oh, they're bringing her back!?" She told me that I knew she used to be on General Hospital because we talked about it before. My memory's not so good so I had to ask more details. She said that she used to be on the Dukes. *LIGHT BULB OVER MY HEAD* The lady in question is Diane Benson from Carnival of Thrills.
