MaryAnne watched the handshake between Brian and Alex and then looked at Chance. Brian was right, the answer to such a question would mean a great deal to his and Alex's future and MaryAnne was fully aware of this. MaryAnne nodded to the lady gambler. "It would be helpful." She then grinned. "I take it you're the witness to whom I'm speaking?" (Cue Chance!)
-
MaryAnne reached out and rubbed Damascus's nose. She then looked at her cousin and nodded. "We're gonna be doing a lot of sorting out. Let's get to it." (cue Alex, Chance or anybody!)
-
"Yeah, I already know about the carnage and chaos that took place in town. Alex here told me what happened. More than that, he told me you'd been shot! Chance here offered to show me where you were at, Alex here tagged along....tho' technically he's still in the custody of the Sheriff's department. Anyway, that's why we's was thunderin' after you. Tho' I can see where you could jump to the other conclusion." MaryAnne leaned back. "I'm glad you're okay. I'm also glad you didn't decide to blow me off my horse here and ask questions later...." the deputy grinned. (Cue Brian!)
-
MaryAnne rolled her eyes and lowered her arms. She slid the rifle off her lap and back into her saddle bag. She then leaned forward in her saddle, resting her arm on the saddle horn. "Cousin, I'll tell you what kind of posse this is." MaryAnne paused and then chuckled. "It ain't one." (cue Brian!)

HEY ALL YOU TURKEYS OUT THERE!!!! : Thanksgiving Chat?
MaryAnne replied to Val Strate's topic in Chat Times
I'll second that Yeeehawww! Good to see you back Hilery! =) -
(Chance, Alex, please forgive the use/mention of characters) MaryAnne saw the sudden turn of Brian's horse, and the unmistakable aim of the pistol. Damascus was barrelling towards them at full speed. Brian was hell bent for something. There was only way MaryAnne knew to find out for sure just how hell bent he was. MaryAnne suddenly pulled on the reins and commanded Phoenix to a sudden stop. The rifle was brought down and laid across her lap. MaryAnne turned in the saddle just enough to face Brian and raised both hands in the air. Chance and Alex had reined their horses to a stop as well and looked at MaryAnne, slacked jawed. For all they knew, they were about to witness the stupidest thing the deputy had ever done.... (Cue Brian!)

MaryAnne saw the weapon raised in the air and about had a coronary in the saddle. "What the hell is he running for?!" Although surprised by her cousins showing of the weapon, MaryAnne was undeterred. If the dumb sodbuster was gonna shoot her out of the saddle just because she was worried about what had happened to him and wanted to make sure he was okay, let him. She figured Chance and Alex could explain it to him after the funeral. "%*(#$" MaryAnne grumbled and kept after Brian, pushing Phoenix for all the speed the mare could give. MaryAnne loosened her grip on the reins and held on with one hand, while the other retrieved her rifle from the saddle bag. She continued to ride, one hand holding the riens while the rifle was pointed upward. If Brian took a shot at her, MaryAnne would be more than happy to reply.... (Cue Brian!)

She'll probably be Lulu Hogg!!!! Now that's interesting. This Gainey dude was on Bad Day in Hazzard.....was he the one that ended up wearing the Sheriff's uniform?? How ironic is that?? ROFL

HEY ALL YOU TURKEYS OUT THERE!!!! : Thanksgiving Chat?
MaryAnne replied to Val Strate's topic in Chat Times
Well, Brian looks like you just topped that guest list you were talking about for the first Hazzard Turkey Shoot. Congratulations, cousin! KHEE!!! I'll be there Val! =) Tempest....and any the rest of y'all out there...as the ol' Loretta Lynn song goes.. 'Y'all Come!!" =) MaryAnne -
That ain't old news! It's new news! At to me it is. LOL. Well now if that ain't a typical Dukes script plot I don't know what is. Looks like somebody in the Broken Lizard writing team actually knows what the hell the Dukes of Hazzard was all about. LOL. The script seems promising, atleast in it's synopsis form. Thanks LoneRanger for posting the link! =)

At the same time, MaryAnne's Appaloosa mare spotted Damascus and whinnied back in reply. MaryAnne pulled up the reins, stopping Phoenix and along side of her Doc and Alex stopped their horses too. "Hey, there's Brian now," MaryAnne said. She raised an arm to wave in greeting but then suddenly realized that Brian was commanding Damascus to turn around. "Brian, wait! Ugh, what the hell is he doing?!" There was no choice now. The chase was on. MaryAnne nudged the flanks of Phoenix and the mare took off after the fleeing black clad cousin. (Cue Brian, or Doc or Alex!)

Welcome back, Doc!

Well I'll be horn swaggled. ROFL. Yep, that's exactly what I have too! The little details say "Florida" on top and then "Sunshine State" on the bottom and then in the corners of the plate are 68 and 69. Must be the Coltrane model. Does the driver door on yours pop open on it's own? LOL
-
Yer welcome Cap'n. =) Of course, now I'm wonderin' here.... anybody out there ever seen a 1/18 scale General with Florida plates? Did I end up with some oddball? The box says ERTL (specifically ERTL Collectibles). The General has the push bar, the hood opens, the doors open (why they have the doors open I'll never know. LOL). The interior is black. There's a roll bar. Has the dual pipes. And Florida plates. Man that's gonna bug me now. ROFL
-
So for the authentic graphics.... does that mean they put the correct Georgia license plate with the CNH 320 number on it? Instead of the Florida plates my 1/18th General has. ROFL
-
400?!?! Holy bleep! Do you have them displayed in your home? I'm picturing an entire wall full of diecast cars. Khee!
-
So, what are you saying? That your craftsmanship is shoddy?? Well I certainly had no intention of trying to push it to 110.....and sure as hell ain't gonna try it now!! ROFL.
-
DOH!! Let's hope it's a speedy recovery, Doc. And we'll see you back here soon! 8)

Election Mishap - What really happened...

ROFLMAO! If that ain't a "Strate" moment I don't know what is! -
*This is a joint post with MaryAnne and Daney* MaryAnne and Daney watched the Camaro pass. MaryAnne could only make out two people in the car. "I can't tell if Brian's with them..." she said. She watched until the Camaro's tail lights disappeared around the corner and then she looked back at the warehouse. She suddenly had a horrible thought and then picked up the CB mike. "Rosco, you better follow 'em." "I couldn't see if Brian was in the car," Rosco replied back. "That's what I'm worried about. Daney and I will check out the warehouse. You keep an eye on 'em. We'll let you know what we find." Hopefully nothing... "Ten-four." Diablo's engine turned over and Rosco swung the Chevy out onto the road and followed after the Camaro. MaryAnne looked at Daney. Daney reached into the backseat and grabbed her backpack. She retrieved a flaslight. "MaryAnne, you want this one or the one in the glove box?" MaryAnne popped open the glove box. "I'll take this one," she said, pulling the flashlight out. She smiled at Daney. "You always come prepared." "I learned from the best," Daney grinned nervously. Uncertain of what they would find in the warehouse, she got out of Hunter. "Maybe Rosco will meet up with the boys or someone," She said quietly, waiting for MaryAnne to lead the way to the building. "Maybe," MaryAnne said. "Hopefully those two dudes don't spot him...." She clicked on her flashlight and walked to the warehouse with Daney. The warehouse was not as big as what some folks would think of a warehouse to be. Infact it was probably about the size of an average barn. But nonetheless it had served as a warehouse at one time or another for products Boss's varied enterprises dabbled in. Both legal and illegal. When they got to the building, MaryAnne and Daney stepped inside cautiously, unsure of what they might find. Both shined their flashlights around the room, noting the footprints on the dusty floor. There was little furniture; a table and a couple of chairs. There was no Brian, but they still had a little more of the building to look through. Without a word, the two split up. One toward the left area, the other ventured right. Daney was almost finished when she speculated out loud. "Maybe this was only one of the guy's hang outs." Fargo and Anderson's boss probably had more than one place in the town on the off chance his plans got messed up. She peeked over her shoulder at MaryAnne. "I don't think so," MaryAnne replied as she looked into another smaller room of the one she and Daney were in. "I doubt they had plans to stay in Hazzard as long as they have and I don't think they'd have more than one hideout." MaryAnne came to stand in the middle of the room and looked across at Daney. "Well, obviously Brian's not here. But those two took off for somewhere. Either they killed Brian already and they're going to dump him, or he's in that car and still alive." Daney took a deep breath. "I like option two!" She ran past MaryAnne to the door. "Do you want to drive this time?" She hurried out of the building and to the Plymouth. MaryAnne followed out after Daney. "If you don't object," she said. She came to a stop at the driver side of Hunter, and looked across the hood at Daney. "Because I'll tell ya, option two is the only thing I'm considering!" Hazel eyes locked with blue ones. "Yep, because so help them if they-" Daney commented, and got into the vehicle. MaryAnne got in the driver's side. The flashlights were tossed in the backseat. The engine sprung to life. Daney released the parking brake. MaryAnne's right hand moved the shifter from neutral to reverse. Her left hand gripped the steering wheel. Her foot hit the gas pedal. The vehicle went backwards enough to turn around, then Daney slammed the shifter into drive. As Hunter pulled onto the road, she grabbed the cb mic and held it up for MaryAnne. She took a hold of it. "Rosco, you there?" "Yeah," came the immediate reply. "What did you find....?" "Nothing. He's not in there, which means he's gotta be in that car. Where you at?" "Just a couple miles away from there. Still on Farmer Road. MaryAnne, if he's in that car what if he's---" "Just keep with them, cousin, we're coming!" (cue anyone!)
