The General was black in the episode "Happy Birthday General Lee" during the flashback portion of the episode. The episode ran in the 7th season.

Try this apple... The only reason....the ONLY reason Daisy wore nylons at all was because the censors at CBS at the time didn't want her running around on TV in those short shorts with NO other undergarments on (the problem wasn't her legs, it was the length of the shorts and the possible exposure of certain parts of the anatomy). The execs at CBS wanted her to wear tights or something, the response from the wardrobe folks on the Dukes was to have Daisy wear the sheerest pair of nylons possible. Frankly, the reason girls nowadays don't wear the hose is because it's not considered sexy enough. It's not daring enough. It's not as risque as it once was. In comparison Daisy's wardrobe is darn conservative compared to what the likes of Jessica Simpson wears now.

MaryAnne gulped, looking at the Doc. Even if Riddick died and Doc took full official responsibilty, MaryAnne was going to carry her own weight of responsibility. She nodded though and then looked to Riddick. She then turned her eyes to the heavens and gave a quick, silent prayer. Respectfully, she then stepped back and exited the hospital room, leaving Riddick in Chance's capable hands. MaryAnne paused for only a moment after the door closed and took a deep breath. She then headed down the hall, figuring to find a phone and call Rosco to let him know what was happening see what was going on with finding who had done this to Riddick. (cue anyone!)

Just an FYI I've been getting some suggestions for new challenges, which are great (NDNoutlaw, I recieved yours). I have quite a list going, lemme tell ya. Khee!

Allright, I guess I'll be the first to post here.
MaryAnne replied to Eddiemunster's topic in The Patrol Cars
Certainly not! As a certified Coltrane I most definetly give a darn about the patrol cars.... ....but I don't have one myself. LOL. However, I have seen, online, pics of restored Fury's gaining new life as replica HCSD cruisers. Some have even been for sale on eBay. I think the patrol cars are starting to gain a little bit of ground in the resto area, followed by Daisy's Jeep. Which, when ya think about it, makes sense. General Lee might get kinda lonely if that big ol' white Plymouth wasn't trying to nip it's tail. Khee! -
Rosco was half way to the hospital in Diablo when Daney's voice came over the airwaves. A brief moment of panic set in as he thought of the possibility of Fargo and Anderson going around and asking different people about Riddick, and possibly hurting other folks. He picked up the CB mike. "I already know about them and they're dangerous! Listen, you get yourself back to your uncle's farm and you stay there. That's an order!" Rosco hoped Daney would understand his stern order. He didn't want anyone to get hurt. Meanwhile, at the hospital, MaryAnne was staring across Riddick's bed at Dr. Walker after listening to the suggestion of HemoGenesis. It was a risky venture, no guarantee of working. MaryAnne recalled the other doctor putting Riddick's chance for survival at 25%. Those were low odds. The HemoGenesis would either increase that, or wipe it out all together. And suddenly MaryAnne found herself at a crossroads. She looked down at the man laying on the bed. On the one hand, they could leave Riddick as he was and he would either recover slowly, or die slowly. The Doc's suggestion would either speed up Riddick's recovery a bit, or kill him instantly. To leave him as he was put the situation in the Lord's hands. To do the other, quite possibly would force the Lord's hands. Whatever is to be shall be.... If Riddick was to live or die, MaryAnne knew that the big burly ex-con would have preferred it be done quickly, and not for him to be left like some vegatable rotting in a fruit stand. She took in a deep breath and looked back at the Doc. "How soon can you start on that HemoGenesis?" (cue anyone!)

He's 78 years young. LOL

So let me get this straight. Because you've been ridiculed a few times in your life because of your accent or where you're from or whatever, you now assume that all yankees are cruel and boneheaded SOB's. Dude, I'm sorry you had the misfortune to meet some crappy people in your life and that they coincidentally all existed outside of the South. But guess what? Crappy people exist everywhere, and if they can find something to pick on you about, they will. You're no different than anybody else, frankly. But to judge people in one part of the country, based on the few you've met is extremely narrowminded. And for you to come to this board, claim to enjoy the Dukes of Hazzard and then proceed to slam those of us who aren't Southern and therefore apparently should not be allowed to walk the face of the earth, let alone enjoy the Dukes of Hazzard, let alone have the country smarts to DIG the Dukes of Hazzard, makes you no better than the type of Yanks you so hate. So go wash your hands, dust your feet and keep movin' my friend. Maybe someday you'll learn that the world is full of SOB's. At which point it won't be just Yanks you hate. It'll be the entire human race.

Hey RebellWolf, I'll have you know I check this site every day. Several times a day actually. Don't always have that extra minute to post but I do keep up with what's going on here. You're not the only one old enough to remember the show. You're not the only one who's lived Hazzard style. Son...you are in good company. =) MaryAnne

Welcome Eddie! And Larry and everyone else that's recently joined up. Y'all've come to the right place for Dukes.

Miss Strate...I've been tryin' to figure your silly tail out for awhile now. KHEE! =) I know one thing. (As opposed to Schultz, who knows nuth-ing! LOL) You're a Strate, 100%. And I'm definetly Coltrane. Know why? Because I royally screwed up trying to answer your post. And I ended up wiping half of it out. %$*(^%*(^!!!!!!! Argh. I'm sorry. I swear I hit "quote" which is right next to the "edit" button and at 7:30 in the morning you'd think I'd know better than to try anything complicated!

Fanfic Challenges for Everyone: Is it Something We Can Do?
MaryAnne replied to NDNoutlaw's topic in General Discussion
Howdy NDNoutlaw! Actually, if you like you can post challenge suggestions right in the fanfic challenge section. It should be fixed now where everyone can post to it. LOL. I made a boo boo last time and screwed up setting the thing up and couldn't figure out why nobody was posting to the topic. Then I was gently informed that the place wasn't letting anybody in! Can't imagine I'd mess that up. Heh heh. I'll tell ya ND, if you can help get folks fired up on challenging one another I give ya my blessing. This fandom has some very talented writers in it and I know they're up to it. And I'm sure there's some folks out there, lurking in the shadows that are probably talented writers too and they're just waiting for that opportunity to come out and play. Let's give it to 'em eh? KHEE! MaryAnne -
August 1st challenges have been posted! http://www.dukesofhazzardfanfic.com/Stories/ChallengeFics/August2004/August2004.htm

.....has come and gone but I'm still holding out for submissions for the Episode Rewrite. LOL. I'll be updating dohff.com this weekend but just wanted to let y'all know you can still send in stories. Really. I mean that. I'm not joking. Are you working on one now? Are you this far away from finishing it? Do you wanna email me and say "I got a story but it's gonna be a little late, is that okay?"? I'll reply back, "Yes it is!"
-
Yes, Rosco sings but it's not as bad as you might think. LOL. Actually it's very cute. It's a song about Flash and it is pure Rosco. KHEE! Like Kristy said there's a story line that kinda weaves the songs together, so essentially it's the Dukes of Hazzard -- The Musical. If you find it, get it. It's a fun record.

Well shoot, NOW what are we gonna do?! Have a safe trip, Jax!

**Obviously there is alot of yankees on this board...** So what if there is? Look, we're all here because we all like the Dukes of Hazzard. I'm assuming you're here because you like the Dukes of Hazzard. Does it really matter what part of the country we're all from? You've posted 8 times today, and 6 of them are your repeated grievence about the movie. Look, I don't dig the movie idea either because I'm sure they're gonna just screw it up, but it might just jump start some renewed interest in the original Dukes. That's not necessarily a bad thing now is it? Everybody is entitled to their opinion and you've clearly expressed yours. Now....got anything nice to say about the Dukes?

Howdy Darrell! Welcome to HNet! Thank you for the compliments. We work hard to keep this ol' place fresh and hoppin'. =) I used to be in several of the Yahoo Groups but have backed out of most of them. Ever since the transfer from Clubs to Groups, the new format was a turn off to a lot of folks and things just pretty much died. I am still in one called Hazzard Crossroads, which sees the occasional post. Otherwise I spend my time here at HNet. MaryAnne

Hmmm....although I would prefer they use the original Waylon version of Good Ol' Boys, if they're going to redo it (and more than likely they will) I think they should have Travis Tritt sing it. As for other songs in the soundtrack, there's another thread we have that mentions the likes of Dolly Parton, Kenny Rogers, ect... perhaps contributing tunes (new or old). I think a Willie Nelson tune would be appropriate. "New" country acts that I think would make great contributions would be Trick Pony, Alan Jackson, and that guy that sang that song that goes, "here's to the past, they can kiss my glass I hope she's happy with him...." Argh, that's gonna bug me all day now because I can't remember his name! Anyway, amongst other possible acts. Nashville could really have a field day with this. =) As for Southern Rock.....can we say Lynyrd Skynyrd?? ROFL. Little Allman Bros. thrown in as well. And above all....they really oughta have a Waylon Jennings song in there.

Who had the best legs on the TV show, Daisy or others?
MaryAnne replied to RebellWolfUT's topic in Dukes of Hazzard Movies
In the episode Targets: Daisy and Lulu, Rosco was showin' off a nice pair of legs.... Scary ain't it? KHEE!!!!!!! ROFLMAO -
Today is James Best's b-day! Happy Birthday Jimmie!
