Hobie Hartkins replied to HossC's topic in On TV This Week
Wow! Now that's interesting! They all just seemed to "Make the rounds", so to speak, on the different shows! -
As far as Lucas K.... My grandmother's maiden name ( born in 1910) was Ruby V. White and the V didn't stand for anything! They did that sometimes back then. They would put a letter but nothing with it.

Heck what was Cooter's first name? I hope it wasn't cooter.... I can't remember the episode but Luke called him Coterrance one time and that sounds like what Cooter could be short for!

- The part where a crying Jesse was sitting down with Rosco in the Boar's Nest after being told the boys were dead was one of the most emotional in Dukes history. If you'll notice ( and this is the Psychologist coming out in me...B.S.p '88), Jesse, while hurting over the news about Bo and Luke, held Rosco's hand, as Rosco was telling Jesse how much he would miss them. When you're hurting, it comforts you to comfort someone else who is hurting too! I loved seeing Rosco's reaction when chasing the Dukes later in the show again after earlier thinking they were dead. He was one happy Sheriff. Rosco just wouldn't be Rosco if he couldn't chase the Dukes. The line he said right after, was, " Just like old times!" He actually enjoyed chasing them! LOL!! There was a blooper in the pre-opening song scenes. Jesse said " That wake in there is for you" when his mouth wasn't moving. I noticed that before. There is also a blooper like that when Daisy is …..???? Talking to Jude? That scene with Rosco and Jesse is a perfect example of why the REAL actors who made the show, surprisingly enough, weren't Bo and Luke, but Sorrell, Denver and Jimmy! -

That HAS to be where they got Hughie and Dewey's names! -
Hazzard's Other People
Hobie Hartkins replied to Hobie Hartkins's topic in Dukes of Hazzard Episodes
As far as closed captioned...all I have is Spanish and French, of which I'm not fluent enough in either to translate. I have no English Subtitles on mine. n 'Route 7-11', Dewey Stovall says he gambled "every cent Lucy and I ever owned." I'm guessing that was his wife. In 'The Legacy', Boss calls old flame Lucinda Meadows "Lucy Ducy" a couple of times. I don't think either of these is the Lucy Bo was talking about....he would be with someone closer to his age more than likely and both of these Lucy's were probably Uncle Jesse's age. -
I can't remember where you put your stuff about the other people in Hazzard, Roger, so I'm just going to put them in here when/where I can. I noticed that there are a LOT of other people in Hazzard! It's like its own world, in and of itself! Robot P. Coltrane- Bo and Luke are looking for the 2 criminals who stole the robot and they find their hideout at Dean Clancy's huntin' shack. I believe this was the only time Dean Clancy is mentioned. This shack is also the place where Bo took Lucy May last summer! I don't know if she was ever mentioned again either! So...Dean Clancy and Lucy May....2 more members of Hazzard County that we don't know much about!

, Tom Wopat sure doesn't seem like he liked doing them as much as Cathy or John did. I've seen him talk about the show in a demeaning way and refer to the " Laugh Scene" at the end of each show, with a derisive attitude. I think he needs to get a grip. He wouldn't be anywhere, if it wasn't for this show! -

This was a good episode although I wouldn't call it one of my favorites. There weren't as many twists and funny quotes as usual. Since I love dirt bikes so much I loved the ending. I agree completely. However, for some reason, to me, this episode seems to last a lot longer than all the others, not because it's boring or bad, but it just seems like it lasts twice as long for some reason! -

I've been having the same problem....but remember....it's not a B#$@k background...you can't say the " B " word anymore! ( ya gotta be P.C.! ) It's an African American background! -
Apparently she felt guilty as she called yesterday and apologized. Well, that shows she has some class! That would change my attitude about her real quick.

- As Hoss pointed out earlier, Rocky Marlow from Deputy Dukes is in this one. He's the toughest of the mob bosses. They are all meeting to figure out how to stop their sons from taking over the businesses. Wasn't he Leo Gordon? If that was him, then I've seen him playing a bad guy in an Andy Griffith episode! -

Well, if it wasn't an episode and I'm sure it wasn't either, then that's dirty pool! They shouldn't have put it in the episode! -
Though I felt like telling her good luck finding someone else to mow her lawn and trim her hedges for $20. I would've told her where to put her $20, her yard and what to do, once she got it all up in there!

Poor Lulu. After the Rolls Royce thing didn't work out Boss bought her a mink coat that ended being possum fur and when she went out in the rain it smelled up the whole county. I honestly don't think the possum mink coat ever happened, at least not in " real" time. ( notice the quotes)….." real" time as far as Hazzard happenings. -
I'd like to know those answers myself! Hoss will probably know!

If anything get one of those cheap prepaid plan flip phone ones. My dad has one of those with TracFone and has a year's worth of minutes or whatever. This is my story. I pay CASH for everything and NO credit EVER...and I still don't have a smart phone!

LOL! Right you are Brother Hoss!! If I get this going, it will be a separate stand alone web site! It will have different levels of commitment etc.

We start to see the beginning of a trend in the series where the Dukes and Boss team up at the end more often. I always wondered about this. They always seemed to be friends toward the end, but let me tell you, anybody that tries to cheat me or frame me or put me in jail for most of my life is NOT going to be my friend or treated well when I'm around! -
You never owned a cell phone?? Roger...you are indeed, my hero and my friend! I'm thinking about starting an organization called " Ol' Skool" ….where people who are indeed, "Old School", can socialize and keep to themselves, without having to deal with all the alien hordes ( any and all who are not Old School), radical, Leftist, impure etc.
