  1. 28.44kb is a very small file size for an image. The image would either be small in size, low in quality or both. This limit must've been set by MeadowMufn. If the images are uploaded directly to HNet, then HNet hosts the images and will have to pay the additional overheads (increased bandwidth) every time those images are viewed. I'm guessing that that's the reason why the image size is so low. If you use a site like Flickr, they host your images, i.e. they provide an online storage location for them and the overheads are carried by that site (at no cost to you or HNet). All you have to do is insert a link into your post on HNet that references your image.
  2. The car strippers were (L-R) Daina House, Kellee Patterson, Lois Hamilton and Kathrine Baumann. They played Lil, Jane, Carla and Sally.
  3. The square in Covington also appeared in 'The Cannonball Run' - Burt Reynolds and Dom DeLuise land their plane there to buy more beer near the start of the movie.
  4. I don't know what format/size the forum is expecting - you'll have to ask MeadowMufn on that one. As I've suggested before, you should look into using an image hosting site. Many offer free hosting for a limited number of images, e.g. Flickr will host up to 1,000 images for free. There are also plenty of free image editing apps - I found a recent list here. I don't know what platform you're using, but I've used Paint.NET for Windows and found it easy to use.
  5. They are using the Next Gen cars now. Here's an article listing the differences between last season's cars and the Next Gen cars: https://www.cbssports.com/nascar/news/nascar-next-gen-car-explaining-the-ins-and-outs-of-the-nascar-cup-series-new-racecar-for-2022/ Some of the changes are a shorter greenhouse, shortened deck lid, and widened track width, as well as 18" forged aluminum wheels and wider tires. The wheels will feature a single lug-nut design, as opposed to the traditional five lug-nut design of previous generations. Interestingly, the Next Gen cars "feature upgraded specs to match modern passenger vehicle technology, including an independent rear suspension, rack and pinion steering, and larger brakes." Does this mean that they are becoming more like "stock" cars?

Here you go, Roger. It was Kenan Sofuoglu on a Kawasaki Ninja H2R at the Osman Gazi Bridge in Turkey back in 2016. 400km/h is just shy of 250mph. BTW. The original video I posted is long, but it'll whiz by (no pun intended).

It's still another week until the next F1 race, but the video below popped up in my recommendations yesterday. As a bit of background, Guy Martin is a truck mechanic and motorcycle racer from the north of England. Over the last decade, he's made a series of documentaries and travelogues. Several have been about setting unusual speed records such as World's Fastest Tractor, while others have included restoring a WWII Spitfire and building a replica WWI tank. This is the first of three F1 specials from his 'Speed with Guy Martin' series. It pits Guy on his Tyco BMW racing bike against former F1 driver David Coulthard in a championship-winning Red Bull RB8 F1 car in a series of challenges. Both vehicles are capable of 200mph.
  8. There were various bits of livestock scattered around the show, but I don't remember seeing any mules!
  9. DiXville County (Home of Big Jim Downey)
  10. "UGLY, UGLY, UGLY" (Rosco's first reaction to seeing General Lee)
  11. I'm sure that Roger would've loved my day out today. No motorbikes, but all sorts of farming machinery on display. This is usually the time of year for the National Ploughing Championships, but this year it's also Ireland's turn to host the World Ploughing Championships (BTW. "ploughing" is just the correct way to spell "plowing" ). It's normally where I pick up my year's supply of free pens, but freebies were thin on the ground this year. Due to Covid, it's the first time that the event has been held since 2019. It's now the fourth time I've been to the event, and I still haven't seen any actual ploughing (it's done on neighboring fields). What most of the nearly 300,000 visitors go for are the stalls and stands selling all manner of goods and services.
  12. His appearances in Bewitched and various other shows are mentioned in the Question About Hobie thread that you created in 2014. Some of the confusion about the actor's identity that I wrote about in 2014 now seems to have been sorted out on IMDb. It looks like Paul Smith (AKA. A.P. Smith/A. Paul Smith etc.) was in 9 episodes as Bewitched, mainly as police officers ('Oedipus Hex' was his second appearance).
  13. I noticed that one of the DVD reviews complained that the episodes were in the wrong order because Daisy's yellow car reappears after she gets the Jeep. They obviously didn't know that this was a studio continuity error from the start. Having said that, I do seem to recall that two of my DVDs are labeled incorrectly - disc 3 is actually disc 4 and vice versa.
  14. I wondered if a mid-90s song by the British indie band The Bluetones called 'Marblehead Johnson' had any connection to Marblehead, especially when I saw that Johnson's Island is only a couple of miles to the south, but it turns out it was a reference to an album by comedian Bill Hicks. The lighthouse looks like a great place to watch a sunset, and it's celebrating its 200th anniversary this year.
  15. But I've already done 'D' - we need an 'E'.
