I've certainly got no problem going with the B-52's. Sorry, the video is only a still image with out-of-sync lyrics, but it was the only studio version I could find on YouTube. You can still enjoy the tune .
  2. Nice picture Alex. I thought I'd go more traditional with this one. It's General Lee with the General Lee. I call it 'The Two Generals'.
  3. Apologies for the geeky joke. Just to annoy Apple, I present an iPad with Flash on it .
  4. Yeah, they'd have to be a real amadán .
  5. Is this the sort of thing you're after, Alex?. I saw this picture the other day and decided to change the TV channel .
  6. Another seasonal one here: The song is probably better known to a lot of people over here as the one from the (they've used it for the last 10 years ).
  7. And now ... a seasonal song: I can't count it among my favorites, but the animated version of Raymond Briggs' 'The Snowman' has been part of Christmas TV schedules over here for the last 30 years.

The song that started it all (it was the first song in this thread) .
  10. From her first album:
  11. Here are the DVD covers of the Spanish and Portuguese releases:
  12. I nearly forgot Germany where it's called 'Ein Duke Kommt Selten Allein', literally 'A Duke Rarely Comes Alone' (again, Google just translates it as 'Dukes of Hazzard'). I can't find a German intro/theme tune, so I'm guessing they use the one with Waylon.
  13. Unsurprisingly, it's called 'The Dukes of Hazzard' in Britain and Ireland. In France it's called 'Shérif Fais Moi Peur', which means something like 'Sheriff, Scare Me' (Google Translate automatically translates it as 'Dukes of Hazzard'). The theme is the same tune, but with French words (and no Waylon): Maybe i1976 can back me up on this, but in Italy it appears to be called simply 'Hazzard': The theme tune is completely different, but quite catchy. It's called 'La Ballata di Bo e Luke' ('The Ballad of Bo and Luke'):
  14. Welcome to HazzardNet :).

  15. On a day when a lot of people are enjoying festive celebrations, there's another annual event taking place - the birthday of our Supreme Superior Commander aka. MeadowMufn. Happy birthday Mufn.
  16. Nollaig Shona agus Athbhliain faoi Mhaise Daoibh, from Ireland.
  17. Did you imagine it something like this?: Let's hope that this satisfies MaryAnne and Roger. I left the rollbar on the Charger for safety reasons. I gave the Caddy a tan interior. I may have let you down. This is definitely the remains of the GL from a train jump at Oxnard, but I'm not sure if it's the second one .
  18. I'd also like to get hold of a copy as I've never seen the cartoon series. Warner Brothers' website very helpfully only ships to US destinations. I think that I have seen copies on ebay in the US, but there's none there at the moment. I did find it on amazon.co.uk - just remember that it's encoded as region 1.

  20. It could easily be done. A request from the HNet deputy is hard to ignore - watch this space. That's not a silly request ... that's a challenge . I had to change the Caddy to a Coupe DeVille (the convertible top just wouldn't support a helicopter!). I know you wanted the helipad on the hood, but that's just daft. If you think that the helipad looks small, I based the size on the one Top Gear used when they landed (skip to 4:57).
  21. Here's a couple of shots of the General immediately after it lands. It gets quite bent, especially at the rear. The second picture shows that it even loses the front pushbar when it bounces.

  23. As Monty Python would say, "Stop! This is getting too silly!". Ford had the Ranchero, Chevy had the El Camino, and I think I've just invented the Dodge Chargero . From now on I'll be ignoring all but sensible requests, so don't go asking for Uncle Jesse's pickup as a convertible race car, or Boss's Caddy as an off-roader .
  24. Y'all have some strange requests, but here you go:
