The only episodes I ever saw were the ones where they filmed on the Warner back lot and I posted pictures in the Hazzard Square thread. That was over 12 years ago and I don't remember much about them.

I couldn't find Ewen McGuin, but Ewen/Ewan is a Scottish name pronounced yoo-uhn. You may know Scottish actor Ewan McGregor. The Welsh equivalent is Owen. This seems to be the most popular in the US (e.g. actor Owen Wilson, Lynyrd Skynyrd drummer Owen Hale etc.). In Ireland it's Eoin or Eoghan (both pronounced like Owen). There all connected to the names Ian and John, and are meant to originally derive from Eugene.

But how many of the cast had extra fingers in your AI search? 😀 On a slightly more serious note, and one I hadn't considered before, if AI is learning from sites like HazzardNet, that's a great reason to make sure what we post is correct. Let's face it, AI won't learn much accurate information from Facebook!

It's pronounced Ay-oh-win. Each storm season, Met Éireann (Ireland) collaborates with the UK Met Office and the Royal Netherlands Meteorological Institute (KNMI) to come up with a list of storm names. Éowyn was one of the submissions from the UK Met Office. Although it looks like it might be Gaelic, it was probably taken from JRR Tolkien’s 'The Lord of the Rings' where Éowyn is a noblewoman of the kingdom of Rohan.
-
We had Storm Éowyn back in January with winds of over 80mph in parts of Ireland (Scotland recorded a gust of 135mph) which left nearly 15% of the country without power. Some people in rural communities were without power for over two weeks.

The F1 season finally starts this weekend, and to commemorate Lewis Hamilton becoming a Ferrari driver, he's been spliced into a rather famous scene from an iconic '80s movie. Check it out at the link below (YouTube won't let me embed it): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mR4uDqRzRUM

I once had the opposite happen. I bid on a CD boxset and I don't remember there being any more listed by the seller. When the auction finished, I'd been outbid, but then the seller messaged me to say he had another copy and would I be interested in buying it at my highest bid. Of course, I said yes, and ended up paying less than the person who won the auction.

I still haven't found the third plaque, but I did make another observation about Boss' artwork. In his Boar's Nest office he has two or three of the dogs playing pool/poker paintings, but in his office at the courthouse he has a copy of 'Washington Crossing the Delaware' by Emanuel Leutze. I guess it reflects the pleasure and business roles of each office.

Likewise. From the setup, I felt sure your mom had the wrong day or your visitors would stay too late. I'm glad it worked out for you.

To me, it wouldn't feel like HazzardNet with a different color scheme.

I used to like the sign in the bar just outside Boss' office that said "I would give all my fame for a pot of ale and safety.", but that doesn't answer your question. BTW. It's a quote from Shakespeare's Henry V, Act III, Scene 2.

'Enos' was a one-season Dukes spin-off in 1980/81 which saw Sonny's character become a police officer in LA. This is why he missed a season or so of Dukes. Some episodes are on YouTube, although the ones I've seen are VHS rips (don't expect DVD quality).

There are a few models listed in other threads, some with pictures: Cooter apparently had a Radio Shack REALISTIC TRC-432 NAVAJO CB base station https://hazzardnet.com/forums/topic/5960-cb-radios-on-tdoh/ This thread shows the Cobra 77x, 78x and the Sharp 40 Channel https://hazzardnet.com/forums/topic/6050-which-cb-radio-was-in-the-general-lee-in-the-tv-series/

I said above that we could get an orange (papaya as the team call it) car next year with a (0)1 on it, but I think the horns might give Cadillac an unfair aerodynamic advantage!

Cadillac has had its bid to join F1 in 2026 formally approved. Read more here.

We're still just over a week away from the start of the 2025 F1 season, but Formula 1's YouTube channel has just posted highlights of five season-opening races going back over more than 20 years. It's amazing how the cars have changed during this time, e.g. in 2013 the cars had really ugly high noses, and in 2009 the cars had really wide front wings. There are several drivers in the video that I'd forgotten, and even a couple of teams! You can watch it here.

I also watched the original run, but I don't remember big wheels being a thing in the UK (where I grew up). We had bikes, trikes and scooters, but "big wheel" was what we called Ferris wheels. Dukes merchandise and toys were available (I had some), but not the huge variety that was available in the US.
-
Welcome to HNet. If you were 7 when Dukes started, you're about a year younger than me.

For anyone who's interested, Knight Rider Historians have just posted a video about the filming locations seen in 'Give Me Liberty... or Give Me Death'.

Kinks I'll include the video below in case anyone doesn't get the connection:

Probably for the best - you could start getting stalked online by Miz Tisdale if she saw that you looked like Uncle Jesse!

As I mentioned on the previous page, it would also have been my mother's birthday today, so I've been remembering her.
