I remembered reading the same article, but it took me a while to track it down. Take a look about two thirds of the way down the page at mygenerallee.com - it mentions finding two 1974 Dodge Monacos labeled Police 1 and Police 2. There's also a small picture.

As long as it doesn't turn out like this 2005 skit from 'Blue Collar TV'. I can't believe they let Boss Hogg keep his cigar ;).

Sadly, I'm posting again because of another death. Today it was announced that Merle Haggard had died on his 79th birthday. To keep with this thread's theme, I'll post this track first. Carolyn - Merle Haggard But I can't do a tribute without mentioning this song. Okie From Muskogee - Merle Haggard

The makers of M*A*S*H didn't want a canned laughter track, but the network did. In the end they compromised, and had laughter on most scenes, but never in the operating room. When the series was originally shown in the UK, the BBC broadcast it without the laughter track, which is how I prefer to watch it.

I don't remember how the episodes were originally shown, but, according to IMDb, it looks 'Carnival of Thrills' and '10 Million Dollar Sheriff' were screened back-to-back, but the two parts of 'Undercover Dukes' were shown a week apart. Now that we have DVDs, it doesn't make much difference as there's no waiting. The two-parters also let us have slightly deeper storylines.

I see that there's a new bar above the activity streams which lets you refine your search. It seems to work fine, but the white background doesn't really match the HNet color scheme. On a separate issue, since the switch to IP.Board, I've noticed that the posts are no longer numbered (each thread used to start with #1). Does anyone else miss this?

Before anyone questions Mark's spelling, Rhuebottom's was sometimes misspelled Rheubottom's on the show, so the model is screen-accurate! Both spellings are visible in the screengrab below, which I first posted in the Hazzard Square thread.

Seeing as he's sponsored by Lowe's Home Improvements, Jimmie Johnson is probably the man of many other building materials too .

I read last night that progressive rock legend Keith Emerson had died at the age of 71. Here's a track from Emerson, Lake and Palmer's 1971 album of the same name. Tarkus - Emerson, Lake & Palmer

Thanks for the link, auster. It's good to see all three of the actors together again and getting on so well. Justin, the flag controversy gets mentioned at about eight and a half minutes in.

Hollingsworth Morse directed several episodes in season 5, but he didn't write any. Other directors of season 5 include Denver Pyle, Sorrell Booke and Paul Baxley. The writing credits are split between Si Rose, William Raynor, Myles Wilder, Bruce Howard, Len Kaufman, Jim Rogers, Martin Roth and Simon Muntner. According to 'The Dukes of Hazzard: The Unofficial Companion', as well as merchandising, Tom and John's season 5 walkout was also about the poor quality of the scripts. John is quoted in the book calling Myles Wilder "an arrogant cuss" who "could not care less".

I had a quick look in Ben Jones's 'Redneck Boy in the Promised Land' and 'The Dukes of Hazzard: The Unofficial Companion', but I didn't find any explanation.

I know this one is a little obscure, but here's a look-alike I spotted in 'Heiress Daisy Duke'. On the left is Nancy Hinman as Vonnie. On the right is singer, songwriter, and record producer Amanda Warner (aka. MNDR), as she looked when she featured on Mark Ronson's 2010 hit 'Bang Bang Bang'.

You did post it where I thought you would . I like Robin Mattson too, but I think she gets overlooked sometimes because Diane Benson wasn't a nice character. A lot of fans don't like the way she treated Bo. Here's an image that I've previously posted in a couple of other threads. The one on the left is from her first movie, 'Namu, the Killer Whale' in 1966, with 'Carnival of Thrills' in the middle, and a more recent shot on the right.
