  1. Here are a couple of screengrabs showing Miz Tisdale delivering Turk and Moody's disguises in 'Double Dukes'. I know almost nothing about motorcycles, but IMCDb.com identifies it as a 1981 Yamaha IT 175 I. Here's a picture for reference. By the way, Roger, you also misspelled "misspelled" - or should that be mizspelled .
  2. Great to have you on HNet, Bo. You've come to the right place .

    NASCAR news

Sadly, I have to hijack this thread once more. When I checked the news this morning, I saw that British IndyCar driver Justin Wilson had succumbed to head injuries suffered at Pocono Raceway on Sunday. Wilson had been in a coma since hitting debris from a car driven by Sage Karam. He is survived by his wife, Julia, and two daughters, aged seven and five. More info can be found on indycar.com. RIP. Justin Boyd Wilson (31 July 1978 – 24 August 2015)
  4. death (I'm just going by Benjamin Franklin's famous quote about what's certain in life. I've also just found out that Daniel Defoe originated the phrase over 50 years earlier.)
  5. Pictures of the lumberyard can be found here, while pictures of the Duke farm being set on fire are here and here - they're all in the 'Valencia Oaks Movie Ranch' thread, along with screengrabs from 'Murder She Wrote' and 'Forced to Kill'.
  6. In case anyone is unfamiliar with that Knight Rider episode, I posted some screengrabs here.
  7. Congratulations, Mark. It's thoroughly deserved.
  8. The lights are beautiful. It's just a shame that it hardly ever gets dark in Hazzard .
  9. My mistake - it must have been the 2002 race that I went to because the Arrows team was still racing. I watched it from near Stowe corner, i.e. the far side of the track from the start/finish straight as it was at the time. You're correct that the priest ran across the track during the 2003 race.
  10. Thanks for the pictures, Roth. The only motoring event I've been to at Silverstone was the 2003 British Grand Prix, although I did run around the circuit during a hail storm in the early '80s (and being an old airfield, it was quite exposed!). I haven't been back since they changed the layout a few years ago. Regarding the truck racing, I've seen it on TV a few times and it looks pretty exciting. When I was in London, one of the teams used to keep their truck outside an industrial unit near where I worked.
  11. belly (as in a good belly laugh) In British English we'd generally use the word snigger to mean the same thing (snicker would be regarded as American). Snickers is also a European maker of workwear.
  12. I hope they're all high-pressure hoses, and not those "plain old store-bought rubber hoses" that nearly saw the end of Cooter's in 'Welcome Back, Bo 'n' Luke' (when they were switched by Joey).
  13. I've highlighted the visible camera mount on the hood in 'Dukes Meet Cale Yarborough', and I thought I'd mentioned the interior of Cale's car changing color when they paint the exterior (if I did, it must be in another thread), but I think the disappearing roll bar is a new one. Here's the beginning and end of Cale's test run - one with a roll bar ... ... and one without!
  14. Snickers (Snickers bars were marketed as "Marathon" bars in the UK and Ireland until 1990)
  15. Mark, I'm sure you've started posted screengrabs from the show instead of pictures of your model . Excellent work!
  16. It almost seems a shame to take off the vinyl roof since the car looks good as it is. The subtlety of the ghost signs is great.
  17. Welcome to HNet, Mike. You're the second model maker who's joined recently. I look forward to your General Lee pics.
  18. It was nice of the organizers to dedicate the show to James Best. I hope you enjoy seeing your first General Lee .
  19. Willkommen zu HNet, BerlinDuke. Although I'm in Europe, sadly, I won't be able to attend the Euro Dukesfest. Maybe Roth is going.
  20. If Roger had pictures, I bet he'd be waiting to collect them from the drugstore . I also looked at the Northeast Ohio Dukes site, but all they had was this 2015 promo (uploaded 12/22/2014) which I think is new to the thread:
  21. My apologies, it was a great result for Max. I've just seen his interview, and he was nearly speechless. It was also good to see both McLarens in the points.
  22. As Mufn said, welcome to HNet, Andrew, and we look forward to seeing some pictures of your models.
