It also shows how the barriers have improved. A few years ago, Spencer Pigot would've hit the unprotected end of a concrete wall!

NASCAR news
I got to see most of the Indy 500, and it was definitely mixed results for the ex-F1 drivers. Marcus Ericsson and Alexander Rossi both crashed out on laps 25 and 144 respectively. Despite all the hype, Fernando Alonso started 26th and finished 21st. It didn't sound like he was happy with his car. Max Chilton briefly ran in 2nd place as they cycled through the pit stops, but eventually ended up in 17th. Finally, Takuma Sato, former Jordan/BAR/Super Aguri driver, won his second Indy 500, running the last few laps under a caution to beat Scott Dixon. Apparently, Alonso won't be able to compete in the next two Indy 500s, and the commentators were wondering if he'd be too old to return after that. He's currently 39, and Sato just won at 43, so I don't see a problem. BTW. Max Chilton isn't the only racer in the family. Earlier in the day, his older brother, Tom, was competing in the British Touring Car Championship.

I can't believe you're at the end of season 4 already, Roger - keep up the good work! I stand corrected. How could I have missed that

Valencia Oaks Movie Ranch
Like the Boar's Nest, the Duke Farm got moved from the Golden Oak Ranch to Lake Sherwood to Valencia Oaks. I think that the last screen appearance I've found so far is a 1988 episode of Murder She Wrote (see earlier in this thread). It's certainly not there any more.

Uncle Jesse's episode reviews
From a couple of sources I've read that John Schneider dated Melinda Naud (Alabama Jones) from 1979 to 1983. There are plenty of pictures of them together if you do a quick search. I've also read that she claims that her son Luigi was the result of a secret relationship with Wayne Rogers (Trapper John in M*A*S*H) which took place between 1978 and 1985!

Dukes Trivia
So, Skipper, are there any shows that you watch from this side of the pond?

Dukes Trivia
I'm not sure which part of my answer the "Wow" was directed at, but if it's that last part... Dukes was originally shown on the commercial-free BBC in the UK. Then I got the DVDs. It was only recently when one of our satellite channels started reshowing Dukes that my Hazzard viewing experience was interrupted by commercials breaks for the first time. I think I prefer my Dukes without the adverts!

Dukes Trivia
When Dukes first started, we had three channels, but now we have satellite and cable TV offering hundreds of channels depending on how much you want to pay. Ireland has fewer free-to-air terrestrial channels than the UK, but both can get between 50 and 100 free channels on satellite. Note that both the UK and Ireland have mandatory TV license fees of about $200 per year to pay for the state broadcasters and public service programs. In the UK that means that the BBC is able to provide a handful of commercial-free TV channels as well as many commercial-free national and local radio stations..

Sonny Shroyer(Deputy Enos Strate) music video
Here you go. The singer appears to be called Memarie, and you were right about the song being 'The Hole in Willie's Guitar' (even though the title says "Wilie's". Sonny just drives a police car (he looks odd in a more modern model) in a chase sequence and still ends up driving into a pond! Thanks for the tip-off, Skipper.

Hazzard Square
You can explore for yourself using Google Streetview. All the images I found are from 2017: The square is virtually unchanged except for the signage and the missing gazebo: https://www.google.com/maps/@34.1484339,-118.3363515,3a,75y,27.29h,89.49t/data=!3m6!1e1!3m4!1sAF1QipNx_3SA01X0a5x_lxLhxDrNiYMVMOSXka0RF7dc!2e10!7i13312!8i6656 The buildings after Boss' house have been replaced: https://www.google.com/maps/@34.1481362,-118.3363549,3a,75y,145.66h,84.99t/data=!3m6!1e1!3m4!1sAF1QipMq0FhUMQtBIjl0pnt6Sg0k3IIhkeJTwI4EYPpr!2e10!7i13312!8i6656 Sadly, Cooter's and Rhuebottom's were replaced years ago (as noted earlier in the thread) https://www.google.com/maps/@34.1484339,-118.3363515,3a,75y,27.29h,89.49t/data=!3m6!1e1!3m4!1sAF1QipNx_3SA01X0a5x_lxLhxDrNiYMVMOSXka0RF7dc!2e10!7i13312!8i6656

Hazzard Square
No, I didn't. When I started the Hazzard Square thread, there were already two or three other sites detailing the Georgia filming locations. I'm not sure if they're still around.

Dukes Trivia
Unlike Gilligan's Island, Beverly Hillbillies was shown in the UK, although I haven't seen it for many years now.

Dukes Trivia
Believe it or not, I've never seen Gilligan's Island. I know it was popular in the US, but Wikipedia says that only 13 episodes were shown on UK TV before it was cancelled, and that was in 1965! Many of my favorite childhood shows were American, but I didn't get a chance to see this one. I checked out the IMDb page to see who was in the show, and I spotted quite a few big names making one-off appearances. Back to the original question though, I see that Rod Amateau directed a couple of episodes of Gilligan's Island (he directed 7 episodes of Dukes and produced 36). Coincidentally, one of the Gilligan's Island episodes he directed was called 'Birds Gotta Fly, Fish Gotta Talk', half of which is the title of the Dukes episode that Roger reviewed yesterday. Further down the credits list, I spotted that Bruce Howard had a hand in writing 5 episodes of Gilligan's Island. He gets 19 writing credits for Dukes.

Uncle Jesse's episode reviews
They did a very similar gag, but visually, in an episode of Police Squad which originally aired a month after 'Birds Gotta Fly' in 1982.

NASCAR news
I see that Fernando Alonso is having another go at the Indy 500, along with a couple of other ex-F1 drivers. Fernando is returning to F1 for the 2021 season.

I love the way you spell hazard as hazzard even when when it's got nothing to do with the show! That's a true fan .

What were the real ages of cast? Anyone know?
He's now 84, and looks pretty good for it.

What were the real ages of cast? Anyone know?
Hi, Amber. Welcome to HNet. Because some of the cast may have had birthdays during filming, I've listed their ages when the first episode ('One Armed Bandits') was premiered on January 26, 1979: John Schneider - 18 (he famously lied about his age to get the part) Cathy Bach - 25 Tom Wopat - 27 Denver Pyle - 58 Sorrell Booke - 48 Jimmie Best - 52 Ben Jones - 37 Sonny Shroyer - 43 As you're probably aware, John turned 60 earlier this year, along with our own Roger Duke.

Uncle Jesse's episode reviews
Well, according to IMCDb again, the white dirt bike that Miz Tisdale rides in 'Double Dukes' was a 1981 Yamaha IT 175 I. You can see my original reply (with pictures) here. Incidentally, it's noted in several episodes of CHiPs that because Kawasaki supplied the police motorcycles, the bad guys often rode Hondas.
