  1. "She drives like Richard Petty, shoots like Annie OAKLEY and knows the words to all of Dolly Parton's songs." - (Waylon describing Daisy in "One Armed Bandits")
  2. Ernie LEDBETTER - (from 'LUKE'S LOVE Story)
  3. There wasn't much more than a GALLON in that can. In a one-GALLON can? No kidding. I don't believe I said that. Exchange from "Limo One is Missing"

    One Word Song Titles

I see that Toni Basil's in the news because she's seeking damages for unauthorized use of her 1982 hit. Although we've had Weird Al's cover many pages back, I don't think we've seen Ms. Basil's version. Mickey - Toni Basil Notice that I didn't say "the original version", because that was released three years earlier by British group Racey (I prefer Toni Basil's version). Kitty - Racey
  5. Good one, Andrew. BUTTERMILK - (Enos' favorite!)
  6. You nearly threw me with the racetrack, Kamryn. The scene you're thinking of is actually when they report to Majestic Studios in the season 7 episode "The Dukes in Hollywood". The Duke cousins are in the front of the General, with Boss and Rosco in the back. The full exchange is: Bo: Howdy. Name's Bo Duke, this here's my cousin Daisy and my cousin Luke. We're here to help Brock Curtis out with his picture. Guard: Okay. Who's that in back? Luke: Unfortunately, they're with us. That's J.D. Hogg and Rosco Coltrane. Rosco: That's Rosco P. Coltrane, and this is Flash. Say hello.
  7. YEE-HAW - (it had to be said )
  8. "Hey, wait a minute. Them ULTRALIGHTS back at the farm." - (when the boys need a way to look for Daisy in "Daisy's Shotgun Wedding")
  9. Hi, Kamryn. We sure hope you enjoy your stay in Hazzard.
  10. "It don't matter none if there ain't been a call for a taxi in Hazzard since gas was 30 cents and Daisy was QUEEN of the prom." - Waylon in "The Hack of Hazzard"
  11. Annual Hazzard OBSTACLE Derby - (from 'Luke's Love Story')
  12. Wait until you get to the 2007 TV movie. They completely ignored the story of finding the General Lee shown in the TV series, and messed around with the ages of the characters. There's also no mention of the car crash which originally brought the cousins together. At least Daisy was a brunette, but she was portrayed as dull and unattractive until the day that she took her glasses off, and suddenly became the fantasy of every male in Hazzard. Sadly, the studios are still doing it. After seeing the trailer, I decided that I never wanted to see the CHiPs movie, even when it's free on TV. It appears to be yet another case of keeping the character names and throwing away virtually everything else that come before it.
  13. Roger, I think it was actually Lighthorse HARRY HOGG (so I'll have that as my go )
  14. Sheriff FLOYD - (from 'Twin Trouble')
  15. You have a great eye for detail, Andrew. I'm looking forward to seeing this build progress.
  16. I've just noticed that the name on the sign outside the church in some episodes (I saw it in 'The Runaway') is Rev. Bachman - a quick search shows that Roger mentioned this in passing on the Trivia thread. I wonder if this was a reference to Cathy, who shortened her surname from Bachman to Bach.
  17. "These YAHOOS are loaded." - (the girls stealing Bo and Luke's clothes in 'Deputy Dukes')
  18. "Yes sir. I've got my ears on, eyes open and my nose pointed due north. Come on back." "Well, UNPOINT it, you dipstick, and head over toward Meadow Road." From 'The Great Hazzard Hijack'.

    NASCAR news

I'll go get my violin. I've just had my third weekend in a row without Formula 1, because they take a Summer break each year. There was also no BTCC racing this weekend, the NASCAR race was on too late and Formula E finished a couple of weeks ago. At least you can watch the Belgian Grand Prix next Sunday - I saw NBC trailing it during the Watkins Glen race.
