  1. Wow ..he had a great night! And so did those who started him. NFL league thread would be fun. Not as much as NASCAR, but still fun. Especially when the Bears win the Super Bowl. I just read the Bears have four players leading votes for the pro bowl. Kahil Mack has 400,000 more votes in his position. They havent had a player in the Pro bowl for a few years now. But then again when they go to the Super bowl that wont matter. It's the thought that counts. ;)
  2. Just checked...my cousin has Derrick Henry 9n her team. He have a good game last night?
  3. I dont know if they had Derrick Henry or not...I'll have to check. Talking about fantasy sports and NASCAR...you want to join my league next year? Anyone?
  4. I love Waylon Jennings...my cat's name is Waylon. Great answer Roger and that would be a great game, but you got the scores mixed around. And the Bears got one of the best defense in their devision now that they got Kahil Mack with Prince Amukamara and the rest. No one gets through Mack...but I'd like to watch you play against them. But maybe Roger could get through them...definitely not the Steelers.
  5. LOL Roger. Love this post. Glad your favorite QB outside of the Steelers is a Bears QB. So what if my Bears play your Steelers in the Super bowl and Chase Daniel's was playing? Not to detour your line of thought, but you know what Chase Elliott full name is? William Clyde "Chase" Elliott ll. Makes you wonder how they get Chase out of that...but it's a good thing he goes by Chase. For your post and it would be confusing having two William's at Hendricks Motorsports. (William Byron). Maybe there us hope that you may come to good side in football afterall...
  6. That is cool that you met or know one of the players. Sorry that he is hurt. Hate seeing anyone get hurt. I'm the same...but backwards. I think of you with the Steelers and Pirates and hope they win for you....except when they play my Bears or Cubs. They do need Trubisky this weekend with the Rams. Am nervous about the game, but I believe in the Bears. Tho will admit was impressed with the Bears backup quarterback Chase Daniels.
  7. Ouch Roger...that stings. I think you hot the score backwards. Bears win all the way. LOL. As far as Trubisky goes, he is still questionable for this weekend. But he played ping pong with Prince Amukamara the other day (another AWESOME Bears player. ) so maybe he's on his way to recovery. They play the Rams this weekend...so am nervous about that. But I'm sure the Rams will earn their second loss of the season against the Bears. Did you see those Steeler fans fighting yet? There was two different fights during the same game. You Steeler fans are violent so hopefully they wont allow you in the Super bowl game. Gotta protect all Bears fans. You may have bad taste in football and baseball teams, but at least you like Chase Elliott.
  8. Thank you for posting this. Made my night! And helped with my withdrawals. I figured his clean shaven look wouldn't last too long after Homestead.
  9. Thank you Hoss. Miss being on here with you all In other words I shouldn't complain about 76 days? As exciting as it was to see Johnson switch rides...he better be back behind the 48 NASCAR car cone Daytona. Tho it's going to be wrong to see him without Lowes and Chad Knaus.
  10. You are too kind Roger. I miss being on here with you all more. Im excited for Christmas too...my withdrawals will only get worse after Christmas. That'd be a great Super Bowl. Of course my Bears would win. No one gets past Kahil Mack.
  11. Thanks Hoss for the pictures. Saw and knew Jimmie Johnson was there, but didn't know about Gordon. My favorites right there. Talking about favorites...y'all hear there is a new most popular driver? Dale Jr won it like 20 years in a row. No Jimmie Johnson didn't win it...be cool though if he did. Nope... Chase Elliott is the new most popular driver of the year. At least one of my guys won something this year. Sorry I've been quiet. Life just gets in the way. I'm on my phone now so sorry if I'm not making much sense. Only 76 more days until Daytona 500. Luckily my Bears are doing good this year, so it's been helping my NASCAR withdrawals. But still...76 long days away...
  12. Thank you Roger. Sadly I missed Chase Elliott's win, but I was so excited for him. Also missed Bristol last week...but did see that a fan tried getting into a fight with Kyle Busch. He was riding his golf cart to his hauler. He had stopped to sign a fan's autograph. Then got back on when another fan grabbed him or hit him in the chest. He got off and the security guards separated them. Saw the video of it and it just upsets me. The fans surrounding them and the one taking the video was cussing him out, booing him. Cheering on that fan that attacked him. I get that everyone has that one driver or more that they don't like or can't stand. I even get that Kyle Busch can rub fans the wrong way. For the longest time I couldn't stand watching him win and he irritated me with how drove and acted...but also am the first one to admit that he has changed and matured since he got married. Also am the first one to say, whether you love him or hate him, you got to respect and acknowledge his talent on the track and how he can win at any track and anything with a steering wheel. I also remember at a driver introduction a few years back where they introduced him and all the fans booed him...he didn't even do anything other than step onto the stage! As I said, I know that fans seem to always have a driver or two that they don't like (I even have my own...) but I don't agree with the booing him and definitely not attacking him like that. NASCAR is probably the one sport that allows fans down with the drivers (athletes) and fans like that is going to be the ones who will ruin that for everyone else. Not that, that will ever effect me, because I don't for see a NASCAR race in my future sadly, but still frustrating... A lot of this is my opinion. Feel free to disregard it. I am not a Kyle Busch fan, but also have to respect his talent and what he can do on the track. My two cents...for how little it is worth.
  13. Thanks Roger. Time is limited so I barely get on my computer any more. Tried HNet earlier and it wouldn't let me on.. NASCAR seems to be going through a rough transition where drivers are retiring and sponsorship is a problem. Hard to imagine Martin Truex Jr would be looking for a ride after last year and this year...then again it's hard to believe that Jimmie Johnson has made it this far into the season without a win. Or really competed for the win for that matter. But then again, this year seems to be all about Kyle Busch, Kevin Harvick, and Martin Truex Jr. They are racing at Bristol tomorrow night...my favorite track. My favorite race. Night racing at Bristol. Hoping to see that 48 in Victory Lane...or at least close to it. He needs points. LOL.
  14. I saw that. I also read where Tom Wopat will serve a year probation for his troubles as well as another review after the year is up. Sad to see them both in trouble with the law like this...
  15. Well once again it has been awhile since I came along. Y'all haven't been forgotten about. Just life happens. I am excited with the news that Rick Hendrick has extended Chad Knaus' contract a couple of years. Knaus is Jimmie Johnson's crew chief and has been from the start of JJ's NASCAR career. Making them the longest paired driver/crew chief in NASCAR. I was really hoping they would re-sign Chad. Team 48 may be struggling this year...and last year, but I still believe they are the best out there and it would just be wrong to have Jimmie Johnson out there without Chad calling the shots. Then again, it's going to be odd to not see Lowe's on Jimmie's car next year. Seems so wrong... So far, Kyle Busch, Kevin Harvick, and Martin Truex Jr has gotten most of the wins that is making the playoff picture a little more exciting. They are racing for lobster in New Loudon tomorrow.
  16. Well sadly I didn't get a hundred percent. I got 42 out of 47. But in reality I got 43 because I accidently hit the wrong one. I found it odd that if you hit the hint button, it gives you the correct answer. And the fact that a couple of them had their car in the background with their name on it if you looked. LOL. I also got a laugh at Dale Earnhardt Jr picture that Danica Patrick was one of the suggestions. LOL. I have to say that is one of the more fun of those quizzes, but that's probably because it is NASCAR and I knew most of them. The older drivers I had a hard time with, but still got some of those right too.
  17. YAY I am a good influence after all!
  18. Not to burst y'all's balloons here, but John is not yet out of trouble because he still has to pay. He said in an video on FB that he will probably will be going back due to charging him with what they know he can't pay. I agree he should have invested his money more than he did, but their youngest is 21 years old. So that money isn't going to the kids. There is no way she should have gotten away with getting paid by John that much per month. It's just wrong. No matter if he is a celebrity or if he isn't a celebrity. I get the celebrities have more money, but still...Jeff Gordon's first wife got a boat load and Jeff's boat when they divorced as well - and they didn't have kids! I second Hoss. They made a big deal on Tom Wopat's arrests months ago and yet haven't said one word since then. It would be nice to hear what is going on with him and all that...
  19. No probably not, but still...lol
  20. Well y'al I got some horribly sad news. Not only did I get a bunch of snow yesterday (9.9 inches if the nasty white stuff for me. Yuck.) But so did Martinsville...meaning both the Truck race and the Cup race got postponed due to snow today and will race tomorrow. While I'm at work. I' so not happy with this...the snow and about the race. Ugh... Only good thing that came of it was that I found the Cubs spring training game and was able to watch them. And they won! Now only if JimmieJohnson wins tomorrow...even if I can't watch it...
  21. Awe come on Roger...I know you can do it. If John Schneider can do it...so can you! Probably can do it even better than John. Or better than Evil Knievel. I like how your birthday is seven days after John Schneider's. My birthday is five days before Denver Pyle's birthday...or the same day as George Clooney's. Though Clooney is twenty years older than I. I'll let you do the research and the math on that one.
  22. That is OK. I figured that is the reason why...sorry I didn't have it earlier. I didn't know what to do. I am in two leagues this year though am thinking of joining a public league and letting the computer pick and see what I get. I am too loyal to my Cubs and end up drafting more Cubs than any other team or players. Ironically in both leagues that I am in (my league and am in a league from someone at work) I got first pick. ..which never happens. So naturally I had to pick my number one favorite player that is still playing...Anthony Rizzo. Would love to have Rizzo and Bryant, but didn't get Bryant in any of my teams. I got Darvish in both leagues and I do have Lester in one league as well as Happ. Rizzo and Lester have to be my top favorite active Cubs players (Ryne Sandberg and Kerry Wood will always be my all time favorite. Ryno was my hero growing up...) So will see where that gets me. Sounds like you have a great team, Roger. Just too bad it didn't work out it wasn't in my league...guess this way I won't be losing to you. LOL. Best of luck!
  23. Well I seem to be in good company because I would really love to go as well, but don't have the money or means or the time to get there as well. Guess John Schneider will have to jump the General Lee without me. And get chased by Carl Edwards. Y'all forgot to mention Carl Edwards is going to be there. How awesome is that. NASCAR and Dukes. Well kinda...since Carl Edwards decided to retire for some unknown reason. But still... Well Roger...I don't think I'd have the money or the means or the time to go to your party as well. I think your's would be farther away from me than John's. Why do I get to miss ALL the fun? Well I hope you take a video of you jumping your dirt bike over your toy General Lee and put it on YouTube. I want to see it!
