  1. You're right Julie, Uncle Jesse is the best pool player. Thanks for the confirmation about Janeen Best, MaryAnne. Here's a question from "The Revenge of Hughie Hogg". Whose personal car makes a rare appearence in this episode? A) Enos Cletus C) Rosco D) Miz Tisdale E) Big Ed Little
  2. Here's an amazing coincidence. Tonight I just got done listening to The Charlie Daniels Band (Super Hits CD) and immediately turned the TV on to CNN and guess who was being interviewed? How crazy is that? I mean, it's not like Charlie is on CNN a lot. In this case he was talking about doing a charity concert for an injured vet. I just love that old ridge runner. Charlie Daniels For President. I'm gone.
  3. Hey luke fan07, the quote you use on the bottom of your posts (...better combination...) is my all time favorite quote that's ever been on the show. You might know this, but it's from the episode "The Legacy" and was quoted by Uncle Jesse's old girlfriend, Lucinda Meadows. You altered it a little bit but that's okay since you didn't change the meaning. I'm gone.
  4. Yea, You're right with your answer B.L. and that is a good episode... I think the mother of the baby is Rosco's real life daughter. Her name is Janeen Best. Can anyone confirm that? Here's a question from "A little game of pool". Which member of the Duke family is the best pool player?
  5. Right MaryAnne, It's Milo. It's too bad the Beaudry's did bad things like kidnapping Daisy. Other than that, they would have been really likable. They remind me of Earnest T Bass and the Darlings on Andy Griffith...genuine hills folks. Here's a question someone might help me with. How did you say Mr. Darling's (Denver Pyle) name? Was it Drisco? Here's a trivia question from "A Baby for the Dukes". When the 3 younger Dukes were singing "Mamas don't let your babies grow up to be cowboys", they changed the lyrics and that made Uncle Jesse interrupt with "That's a good one!" What did they change the lyrics to?
  6. I like "A Baby for the Dukes " (season 6) where Enos and Rosco have to ride horses because they wrecked too many patrol cars. Boss was taking a lesson from Ronald Reagan's "Reaganomics" and practicing a little "Hogganomics" I'm gone.
  7. You're right Julie, it was a Mustang. It was Cooter's garage that Boss was trying to tear down for his shopping center and it was the Nascar Mobile Cup that the boys brought home. Since interest in my trivia questions seems to be cooling off a bit, I think I'll try this. I'm just going to post one question per episode from now on. I suspect that people aren't answering because the tough ones are too tough and...If they don't know all 3, they don't answer any at all. I'm going to keep the question somewhere between an easy to medium difficulty level to give average Dukes trivia players a chance to get a correct answer in quicker than experts. Of course, if someone answers before you and you think it's wrong, you have a chance to correct them but a big factor is going to the timing of loggin in. I hope other people will start posting more questions. There's no need to post a bunch at once. People may respond better if you only post one at a time.....(less thinking and less pressure) Here's one now....Pa Beaudry's two sons are named Sledge and (what)?
  8. Oliver Hazard Perry (I'm wondering if Hazard was his middle name??) was a significant figure in the maritime battles on the great lakes because he has monuments named after him up here. I don't know much more about him but maybe we have some history buffs out there that can help. Hey, LukeFan07, normally when I welcome new folks to the Hazzardnet I say "Welcome to Hazzard County" but it sounds like you're already there. Well, you're at least in the neighborhood. I don't know what would be better, living in Hazard Kentucky or Conyers Georgia. By the way, I remember when the Dukes stars visited Hazard.
  9. Many younger Duke fans don't know about the 1981 "Dukes of Hazzard Soundtrack" but I'd like to explain the historical (or as Rosco would say "hysterical") significance this had on the show. This 8-track or cassette was the best connection us fans had with the Dukes except for Friday night . We played it over and over because there was no other way to hear a Dukes story being told and we were so thirsty for anything from Hazzard County (in addition to the "toys" that we owned and the pictures from magazines we cherished). We could hear the voices of many of the Hazzard folks on this audio gem and those voices were as important to us as the DVD's are now. This is a true cornerstone of Hazzard County and I can never hear enough of it. There's an old country song called "I watched it all on my radio" and this soundtrack is truly something that brought (and still brings) Hazzard County to life. I didn't just watch the Dukes on Friday, I could see them anytime I wanted with it. Whether it's the tribute to the General Lee by Johnny Cash, Boss's amazing narrating and singing skills, Waylon's extended theme song, Luke's "Cripple Creek" or Rosco singing about a man's best friend, this soundtrack has everything a Duke boy or girl of any age could want. Possum on a gumbush. I'm gone.
  10. Hi Dustin, It's nice to see a new name on the trivia thread. Here's 3 from "Welcome Back Bo 'n Luke" easy) What business was Boss trying to get so he could tear it down and build a shopping center, Cooter's or The Hazzard Gazzette? medium) What model of yellow Ford car did Bo and Luke drive back to Hazzard and Coy and Vance left in? tough) What was the name of the trophy that Bo and Luke brought back from Mobile?
  11. That is so awesome. I've only been with the Hazzardnet a few months so I'd like to post this question to our more senior members. Is this the first Hazard resident we've had that you know of? Living in Hazard must be pretty cool!!!....Even if they did spell it wrong. LOL Do you know how it got his name?
  12. Well, you said you'll take anybody's thoughts so here's mine...."BE CAREFUL". The Dukes is such a fun show to love that's it's easy to pretend that you're really in Hazzard County. I know I used to struggle with "DDS" but speaking as an old ridge runner who has seen too many good folks die in accidents, I can tell you that you really need to know what you're doing and even then, there are no gaurantees. My best friend (who was also my cousin) was killed in 1979, coincidently right after the show first came out. Thank God, his accident wasn't influenced by television or movies but things like that can happen. Imagine Bo dying in an accident and how much Luke would hurt the rest of his life. Since you're young, you would hurt lots of people forever if you don't play it smart. If any of you other Hazzardites are home on this Hazzardnet, please join me in encouraging this youngster to play it safe. I'm gone.
  13. "Hazzard County is the only place that I know of that needs an air traffic controller for cars" from "Farewell Hazzard"
  14. You're right Bo, that is from "Farewell Hazzard." It is the next to last episode in season 5. I suppose that it's possible that Jesse was married twice. One thing that I like about these controversies...each person can draw their own conclusion and nobody's officially wrong. My (fantasy) belief is that her name was Martha Lavinia Duke and Uncle Jesse occasionally called her by her middle name. I'm gone.
  15. Hey luke fan07, I've been holding back but I can't resist anymore. I know people ain't supposed to give away too much personal information on these here complex, confounded, complicated, computer contraptions, but I just can't stand not knowing this....Are you really from there?
  16. Here's an interesting trivia fact from "The Treasure of Soggy Marsh".....The Dukes phone number is "Hazzard 587" My CB's busted so I'm going to call them on the land line now because I need help with this trivia thread. Possum on a gumbush. I'm gone.
  17. I can't seem to locate the thread, but recently a few of us had a discussion on where the closest hospital to Hazzard is. In "Comrade Duke" there IS a Hazzard Hospital. The 2 signs for it are only shown briefly so pressing pause is a good idea to catch it. I should say "to catch one of them" since the second sign is barely visible at all. The street is not given but the street number is 1312. I think this is overlooked for two reasons. 1) Of course because the signs appears so briefly. 2) This is a season 5 episode that has Coy and Vance and those episodes haven't been rewatched as often. Possum on a gumbush. I'm gone.
  18. Woops, sorry about the Doberman thing Julie. You were right...I was wrong. By the way, happy birthday Sunday. That's my daughter's birthday also. Here's 3 questions from "The Great Insurance Fraud" easy) Who masterminded the insurance fraud? medium) Which (American State) was Rosco planning to vacation in? Hint: it's a long long ways from Hazzard County, Georgia tough) What is the name of the lake featured in this episode?
  19. I checked that out and couldn't tell. It almost looked like holly (if we were looking at the same one) but of course, stuff in California can be much different than my neck of the woods in Pennsylvania.
  20. You got two of my questions right Julie. Boss's Big Daddy came to town and Waylon called an old pick-up truck a "Country Cadillac" Hey Min, here's some additions to Julie's answers. From "Repo Men" #4 is that they shot the tires with arrows. #6 is the Hazzard Ladies Auxilary and Julie missed #8, it should be Doberman. From "High Octane" #9) the General's plate is CNH 320 #10) the prize was $20,000 #12) the Dukes report monthly #14) the moonshine got dumped after she passed out I got agent Huntley's first named on the tip of my keyboard--UGH!!
  21. I liked Emery. He kinda reminded me of Barney Fife. I wish they would have had him on more often. I'm gone.
  22. Right on all 3 from "Dukes Strike it Rich" MinDuke. Here's 4 from "Big Daddy" easy) Whose Big Daddy came to town? medium) Who used to be a rent-a-cop at the all night pizza parlor on Frontage Road? tough) Waylon called an old pick-up truck a (blank) Cadillac? Min) What famous cowboy was mentioned?
  23. I agree MaryAnne. He wasn't on his best Duke Boy behavior. You have to remember though, this was only his second episode in California. Maybe his head wasn't in the right place.......jet lag and all. LOL. Good thing you can't get jet lag flying a car.
  24. Right as usual MinDuke. Here's 3 from "Dukes Strike it Rich" easy) Did the Dukes pretend to strike it rich with gold or oil? medium) Who pretended to be the Dukes chauffer? tough) The actor John Wheeler is the County assayer. What business in Hazzard does he own? Here's a Waylon qoute from that episode "Ya know, just when ya think ya got things under control in Hazzard, ya run into a natural Hazzard Hazzard."
  25. In case anybody is depending on closed-captioning to give you information on Dukes trivia, be careful of how much you can trust the spelling. For example, on "Enos in Trouble" (DVD) they spell Meadowmuffin, metal muffin (our Supreme Superior Commander is going to be furious) and in the same episode when Enos mentions his Uncle Odie they spell it Uncle Putney. How they got that far away from the actual word, I'll never know. Incidently, here's a little bit of Hazzard trivia that Sonny Shroyer told me personally.....Odie is his real-life father's name. He revealed that to me when I told him that I had a great-Uncle Odie and thought it was neat that Enos had one. Possum on a gumbush. Here's another one from "The Revenge of Hughie Hogg". Waylon was saying that in most places the only two things certain were death and taxes but (the two things in Hazzard were) "the Dukes being chased by Sheriff Rosco's one"..... The closed caption wrote "The Duke's being chased by Sheriff Rosco's warrent."
